Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Taking Birth Control Pills
Seeing this, Leo panicked.
He tried every way to comfort Stephanie, but nothing could stop her crying.
Finally, Leo ran out of patience and angrily kicked the iron bed.
Clang!
A steel pipe fell to the ground.
Leo suddenly got an idea. He pulled Stephanie up and said excitedly, "I got it! I figured it out! Stephanie, we won’t starve to death!"
Leo held Stephanie’s shoulder tightly, which stung a little.
She pushed him away and scoffed, "What do you mean you’ve got a plan?"
Leo brushed off the shove and just smiled. "Stephanie, forget that? You can craft vitamins! We’ll eat them to keep our bodies going for now. Then I’ll try my luck fishing off the rail. We might catch some tasty fish, and I’ll treat you to fresh sashimi!"
Hearing this, Stephanie’s face went pale. "Uh... vitamins aren’t supposed to be taken in large amounts..."
Leo waved his hand. "It’s do or die now! Who cares about getting too much nutrition? Stephanie, if I just take one bottle, I’ll stay full all day. That’ll give me the strength to fish, won’t it?"
She shook her head again. "Really, you can’t take too many. It’ll cause problems and have side effects."
Hearing how worried she was, Leo said softly, "Honey, I know you’re worried about me. But don’t worry, to keep us alive, I can handle the side effects."
Stephanie looked at Leo’s shining eyes and finally gave in. "Fine, take one bottle... it should be fine, right?"
With that, Stephanie raised her hand and activated her Crafting Resources talent.
Soon, a bottle of capsules appeared in her hand.
Leo’s eyes lit up. He snatched the bottle and downed the capsules straight into his throat.
Cough, cough, cough...
After a few coughs, Leo barely managed to swallow all the pills in the bottle.
Seeing Leo actually eat them all at once, Stephanie’s face turned completely white. "Are you okay? You ate so many... are you really sure you’ll be fine?"
Leo just smiled. "What could go wrong? I’m in great shape. It’s a shame this bottle isn’t enough, but if I hold out, it should keep me going until I catch a fish."
As he said that, Leo picked up the steel pipe and started making a makeshift fishing rod.
While working, he didn’t forget to tell Stephanie, "Honey, it’ll take me a while to catch a fish. Don’t starve yourself, either. Didn’t you say you can make three bottles a day? Why don’t you take one too?"
At that, Stephanie’s face lost all color. "I... I’m not hungry. I won’t take it."
Leo hesitated for a second, then asked awkwardly, "If you’re not gonna take one, can you just make me another bottle?"
Hearing that, Stephanie was completely dumbfounded.
She cursed Leo a hundred times in her head for being an idiot!
Actually, the talent she awakened wasn’t for making vitamins at all. It was for crafting long-acting birth control pills for women, full of progestin.
A normal woman just takes one a day to stop her period.
Stephanie couldn’t even imagine what would happen if a woman downed thirty pills at once. Would her chest just start leaking milk right away?
As for Leo, who just swallowed an entire bottle of birth control pills, Stephanie had already given up on him.
Hope you’re still hard...
Stephanie sighed silently. She crafted two more bottles of birth control pills and handed them to Leo. "Darling, you’ve got a hard job fishing. Take the rest of the vitamins. I’m a girl, I can skip two meals."
Leo took the bottles. His face showed deep gratitude. "Honey, don’t worry. I’ll definitely come back to you with food!"
With that said, Leo hoisted his homemade fishing rod and walked toward the deck.
Not long after Leo left, Stephanie stood in front of the bedroom mirror and started fixing her hair.
In no time, she had styled it into a very unique look.
Next, she pulled her makeup kit from her shirt pocket and started applying it. "Kevin, just you wait. If Luna can get you, so can I. I’ll make you fall for me for sure!"
Over on the bridge.
Kevin stood by the wheel, making small turns now and then.
Luna stood nearby, holding a bottle of Holy Spring. She kept wiping down Kevin’s dagger and battle knife.
"Does this really work?" Luna asked, rubbing the Holy Spring onto the blade.
Kevin kept his hands on the wheel, staring out at the sea. His tone turned serious. "Our fight for survival has only just started. The Eldritch Entities we’ll face probably won’t be too strong. If we have the right weapons to take them down, we’ll make it."
As he said that, a symbol of a holy spear seemed to flash in Kevin’s eyes.
Now that he’s back from his past life, he has a talent that can counter almost any Eldritch Entity. He isn’t afraid of them at all.
But Luna has zero combat skills.
To survive the attacks coming up, she needs a weapon that can hold her own against most of them.
For now, dipping melee weapons in Holy Spring is the best option.
As for handguns, regular bullets won’t do much damage to Eldritch Entities unless they’re enchanted by Amelia.
Kevin reminded Luna again, "Eldritch Entities usually don’t attack during the day. Unless some idiot decides to go fishing."
Right as he said that, someone knocked on the bridge door.
Kevin opened the door and found Stephanie leaning against the frame, looking all cute and inviting.
The second she saw him, she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Kevin, I know you’re still mad at my sister. Let me apologize for her, okay?"
"Just give me one sandwich, and you can do whatever you want to me."
She leaned in, ready to kiss him. But Kevin didn’t let her get close. He shoved her back. "Get lost!"
Stephanie fell to the floor, looking completely shocked.
She was sure she had better looks and a better body than any other girl on the ship.
If Luna can pull him in, why couldn’t she?
The more she thought about it, the madder she got. Hunger was messing with her head, and she finally snapped. "Kevin! How dare you treat me like this? Are you even a man? I’m handing myself to you, and you just shove me away!"
Kevin looked down at her, his expression cold. "I’m not interested in women who are easy."
Stephanie’s eyes widened. She fired back angrily, "What nonsense is that, Kevin? Any pretty girl has a past, right? I’m so gorgeous. Isn’t it totally normal for me to have slept with dozens of guys?"
Pfft!
Before Kevin could even speak, Luna, standing right next to him, burst out laughing.
"What’s so funny!" Stephanie glared at Luna, her face full of defiance. "You witch! How come you can seduce Kevin?"
Luna didn’t get mad. She just raised an eyebrow. "If we’re comparing ourselves, I’d say I’m a hundred times more put-together than you."
Stephanie looked completely unconvinced. "Bullshit! With how slutty you look, I bet dozens of guys have already had you!"
Luna just shrugged, looking completely innocent. "Sorry, but Kevin is the only guy I’ve ever been with. That was literally my first time. If you don’t believe me, go downstairs and take a look. There are still stains on the sheet from my first time."
Hearing that, Stephanie scrambled to her feet in a panic.
She walked over to the window and leaned out, staring down at the bedroom below, refusing to just take her word for it.
Sure enough!
Right there on Kevin’s big bed, the sheet with the red stains was still in place. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
The sight made Stephanie’s eyes twitch violently.
Her voice shaking, she turned to Kevin. "Kevin, I couldn’t help it. That was my past. I can’t change it."
"But if you want, I can promise to only stick with you from now on. And if you’re open to it, I can even share you with my sister."
Seeing Stephanie’s offer get more absurd, Kevin shook his head again and pointed to the door. "Sorry, I’m not interested in either of you. Instead of wasting your energy on me, you’d be better off going to the deck and grazing on some Barnacles."
Hearing the word "Barnacle", Stephanie’s gaze instinctively fell on the deck, where she happened to lock eyes with a dense cluster of Ocular Barnacles.
That terrifying gaze instantly froze Stephanie in place.

Stephanie’s sanity was already on the verge of collapse from hunger and the Ocular Barnacles.
With the extra hit, her composure completely shattered, and she snapped into a rage.
She scrambled to her feet, pointing a finger at Kevin. "Don’t get cocky! You only got lucky to become captain. If it weren’t for that, your trash talent would’ve had you under my boot long ago!" ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"Just you wait! Leo’s already out fishing for me! The second he lands a big one, I’ll be grilling it with him right on the deck! When that happens, neither the fish nor the vitamins will be anything you get to touch!"
