Chapter 17: Blood for Blood
Then the door slowly opened with a creaking sound.
Rohan entered the room.
The guards remained outside and closed the door behind him.
The people who came with Rohan also left and went somewhere else.
Inside the room, only Rohan remained.
Arya was hiding under the bed, silently watching everything.
Rohan had no idea Arya was there. freeweɓnøvel.com
Rohan looked injured.
Bandages covered his head, arms, and legs.
He slowly walked toward the mirror.
Standing in front of it, he looked at his reflection.
Then a smile appeared on his face.
One by one, he removed the bandages from his arms.
Then from his head.
Then from his legs.
Arya’s eyes narrowed.
There wasn’t a single wound on Rohan’s body.
Everything was fake.
Rohan laughed quietly.
"Those fools will die."
"Because of them, I lost the battle."
"Now they will pay with their lives."
A cruel smile appeared on his face.
"I made all the people in the town believe that Ronnie and Hina betrayed me."
"They think I am the victim."
"They think I was injured because of them."
Rohan held one of the bandages in his hand and laughed.
"With these fake injuries, they believed everything."
"Not a single person questioned me."
"Now the entire town believes Ronnie and Hina betrayed the town."
"They don’t know the truth."
"I was the one who betrayed them."
Rohan looked at himself in the mirror and smiled even wider.
"They never even realized what happened."
"They trusted me until the very end."
Then he began laughing to himself inside the room.
Meanwhile, under the bed, Arya silently listened to every word.
The truth he had never known was finally being revealed.
Then Rohan walked toward the washroom.
After entering, he closed the door behind him.
Seeing the chance, Arya slowly came out from under the bed.
But before he could move far—
The washroom door suddenly opened again.
Arya froze.
He no longer had enough time to hide.
Rohan stepped out and immediately noticed him.
His eyes narrowed.
"Who are you?"
"What are you doing in my room?"
"And how did you get in here?"
Rohan carefully looked at Arya from head to toe.
"You don’t look like a soldier from this castle."
"You don’t look like a servant either."
Then a thought appeared in his mind.
His expression changed.
"Wait..."
"That means you heard everything I said before."
A cold look appeared on his face.
"You are either a thief or an assassin."
"But it doesn’t matter."
"If you heard everything, then you have to die."
Rohan slowly turned toward the door.
"I’ll call the guards—"
Before he could finish speaking—
Arya moved.
Using Air Walking, he instantly shot forward.
At the same time, he opened his Storage Box and pulled out a sword.
A silver flash crossed the room.
Rohan’s eyes widened.
He did not even understand what happened.
The next moment—
His head separated from his body.
For a brief second, confusion remained on his face.
Then his body collapsed onto the floor.
Thud.
Blood spread across the ground.
Rohan was dead.
Silence filled the room.
Arya stood there without saying a word.
In his hand was the sword he had just used.
Slowly, he looked down at it.
It was Ronnie’s sword.
The only thing he still had from his parents.
The only memory they left behind.
Arya tightened his grip on the sword.
His eyes remained fixed on the blade.
For him, this was more than just a weapon.
It was a reminder of the people who saved him.
The people who gave him a family.
The people who lost everything because of the man now lying dead before him.
