Chapter 23: Heading to Thunder Domain

Cole did not delay. The next morning, he moved out of the temporary laboratory after refining everything.

The Bloodline Potion had proved to be a double-edged sword. While it solved some of his problems, it created many others.

Of course, he was not aware that his unconscious act of saving the Blue Pegasus young master had already alerted his young cousin. Even if he had known, there was not much he could have done about it except shake his head.

Meanwhile, as Cole moved through the busy streets of Ravenstone City, a frown could not help but automatically appear on his face once the discussion of the awakened reached his ears.

"This Saint young master Cole is really cunning..."

"To force a father to kill his own son... so young, yet such a cruel heart. Thank god he was born talentless. If he had ability, who knows what kind of demon he would have become..."

This discussion immediately aroused Cole’s attention.

He was responsible for the Blue Pegasus young master’s death? Since when did the story get reversed? Wasn’t he the one who had saved that moron?

Cole felt completely gobsmacked, not expecting something like this to happen out of nowhere.

Moreover, not just that, he soon found members of the Saint Family looking for him. Upon inquiring why they were looking for someone like him, he realized his uncle Markoch had officially summoned him for his role in the Blue Pegasus family dispute.

If he did not show up by noon, disciplinary action would be taken against him.

"What a load of crap! Why should I explain myself when I didn’t do anything?"

After saying that, Cole did his best to blend in with the crowd. After avoiding the Saint Family soldiers, he arrived at Ethan Summers’ stall. In this entire city, anyone who could help him get his hands on the ingredients to refine the Blood-Calming Potion quickly was none other than that guy.

...

"So you want another batch of ingredients?!"

Ethan Summers looked at Cole with a strange gaze. This young man had just purchased a sizable amount of ingredients from him, and now he was back asking for more so soon.

For a moment, he thought Cole had finished refining the potion, but as soon as this thought appeared in his head, he got rid of it. Just how long had it been? How could anyone finish refining a potion so fast? Unless he had sold the ingredients to someone else, nothing could make any sense.

Ethan’s thoughts surged. Although he judged Cole in his heart, he did not say those words out loud.

"Customer, we understand your urgency, but please understand, I had already given you the last remaining stock that I had left. If you want more, I would have to arrange them from the Lightning Domain, and you know just how far the Lightning Domain is. Even at the fastest speed, it’s going to take at least a week."

"A week...?"

Cole’s expression darkened. He did not have a week. By then, the flaring lightning bloodline would have already deteriorated and cooked his body into a crisp burnt mess.

Cole simply shook his head. He could not wait that long.

Do I have no choice other than heading to the Thunder Domain?

Multiple thoughts surged through his mind, but heading to the Thunder Domain looked like the only valid outcome.

While thinking, he could not help himself from sighing out loud.

"It appears I will have to head to the Thunder Domain myself."

It was at this time, without anyone realizing, that a figure appeared beside the two of them. Of course, it was none other than Ethan’s elder sister, Jessica Summers.

"Heading to the Thunder Domain, huh? It appears we are heading to the same place. Why don’t we go together?"

Hearing those words, Cole was so surprised that he failed to respond. His mouth opened and closed several times, but no words came out.

Others might not know it, but ever since she was young, Jessica suffered from a special condition that required her to head to the Thunder Domain regularly.

On the other hand, Ethan reacted sharply. A male accompanying his elder sister during her trip to the Thunder Domain? Never, such a thing could not happen.

He immediately stood up alert, looking at Cole with slight hostility. Gone was the easygoing and gentle expression from his face.

Cole saw this scene with a forced smile on his face.

Just as he was thinking, he saw the beautiful woman turn to Ethan with a frown on her face, as if asking him to explain his actions.

"Elder sister, you heading out with a strange male — this can’t do. If father hears about this, he will definitely be angry."

"Please reconsider your decision..."

Ethan’s words were filled with genuine concern. However, those words caused Jessica’s face to turn slightly frosty. She looked at Ethan and said in a low tone,

"Speak one more word, and you can completely forget about receiving any more enchanted treasures..."

"Impossible!"

As if eight heavens had suddenly collapsed onto his feet, Ethan almost fell to the ground.

Enchanted treasures were where he earned most of his profits from, like that item with the weight formation he had sold to Cole. If those treasures disappeared, no customer would bother coming to his stall.

Jessica had barely used any pressure, yet even this was enough for Ethan. In just the blink of an eye, he folded completely.

"Okay, this man can also accompany you this time, but the two of you will not be going alone. I will also accompany you..."

Ethan firmly decided. With him going, it would definitely dissatisfy his customers, but having dissatisfied customers was better than having no customers at all.

Cole simply watched everything play out with a perplexed look on his face. His gaze shifted between the two siblings, and in the end, he could only let out a sigh.

Both of the Summers siblings looked like decent people. He would definitely accompany them. Moreover, nobody in their right mind would want to head to the Thunder Domain alone when they had the chance to travel with others.
