Chapter 52: Chapter 52 Rivals Revealed

Turned out the rest of them were total morons—everyone except Silas, Finnian, and him.

If they’d actually bothered reading, they’d know why touch reduces spirit collapse. It’s all there in the ancient texts.

Silas’s smile turned vicious. "So it’s not just Barrett? Fucking hell. This pisses me off." frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

Finnian glared into the darkness of his room, just as pissed.

He’d figured Barrett was his only real competition. Now things just got a hell of a lot more complicated.

Kaelen was busy admiring himself in the mirror.

He wanted Elara’s attention and as many rewards as he could get.

Julian’s brilliant moment lasted just a brief moment. He was primping in front of his own mirror, plotting the exact same thing.

Dorian was still knocked out cold, happily kneading the air in his sleep.

Barrett was being even more calculating.

He clipped his nails, splashed on cologne, and mapped out his entire strategy.

Elara’s POV

I slept like garbage. Dragged myself out of bed in the afternoon, stretched until my joints cracked, then stumbled to the bathroom. Cold water on my face, clean clothes, then straight down to the basement.

After missing workouts for days—my body was getting restless.

I’d been training daily. This body wasn’t nearly as strong as my previous one, but it was getting there.

Give me time, and I’d be back where I was before.

But one thing was driving me absolutely insane. How the hell was my aqua power supposed to level up?

The pool balls cracked like gunshots. Alistair, who’d hijacked the practice robot, was practically sweating oil, acting as if he was wondering why I was pissed and wishing he could speak.

I was beyond frustrated. Smacked a few more balls around, then gave up.

My wood power was nearly Level 6, but my aqua power hadn’t budged. Of course I was furious.

As I headed for the exit, Alistair quickly jumped his consciousness into a butler robot.

I’d barely reached my dorm when the butler robot was already there waiting.

It stepped forward with perfect politeness and reached for my towel. "You’re perspiring."

It was early afternoon. He jerked his optical sensors away fast, seemingly relieved that his robot body hid any embarrassing physical reactions. Once he’d gotten himself under control, he carefully started cleaning my workout clothes.
