At noon, the North City University cafeteria was bustling with activity. The lines for the windows with the best food were especially long. Shen Yi found an empty table for Qin Jiao to sit at, then squeezed into the crowd by himself to get lunch for them both.

Qin Jiao sat there, flipping through a textbook Shen Yi had left on the table. It was for an introductory Computer Science course, so it wasn’t too hard to understand.

"Qin Jiao, is anyone sitting next to you?" Gu Yunqi and his roommate had also just come for lunch. Seeing Qin Jiao sitting alone, he walked over.

Qin Jiao shifted the book aside. "No one’s here. You guys can sit."

"Great, can you save our seats then? We’re going to get food," Gu Yunqi said, putting down his water bottle before heading into the crowd with his roommate.

Qin Jiao said, "Those two seats are taken."

Now that she’d heard he was her boyfriend, not her brother, she was ready to blow.

Just then, Shen Yi returned with Gu Yunqi and his roommate. The three tall boys saw that the empty seats at the table had been taken—Sun Lili was even sitting across from Qin Jiao.

Shen Yi strode over to Qin Jiao’s side on his long legs and set down their trays of food.

Gu Yunqi stared speechlessly at Sun Lili. "Excuse me, but that’s our seat."
