Chapter 530: Episode 528: Here we go again.

The delivery room was completely bright and buzzing with happy energy. But the sweet human nurse holding her arms out instantly froze.

Zarek towered over the poor woman in his expensive, totally rumpled dark suit. His golden eyes were blazing with a terrifying, wild fire. The deep, rumbling growl that ripped out of his chest did not sound human at all.

"Nobody touches my children," Zarek growled. He snatched the tightly wrapped bundle right out of the doctor’s hands before the nurse could even blink.

Zarek pulled his brand new son tightly against his massive chest. He turned his broad back to the hospital staff, completely shielding the tiny baby from everyone in the room. The poor nurse looked like she was going to pass out from pure fear. She backed up against the wall, totally terrified of the giant mafia boss holding his baby hostage.

Roxy let out a totally exhausted sigh from the hospital bed.

"Zarek, please," Roxy scolded him gently. She was completely covered in sweat, but she still managed to give him a totally stern, warning look. "Stop scaring the poor humans. She just wants to weigh him so we know he is healthy. Be nice."

Zarek frowned deeply. He looked down at the tiny, squirming face of his son. His possessive dragon instincts were screaming at him to grab Roxy, grab the baby, and fly out the window. But he took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. He gave the nurse one last glare.

"Make it fast," Zarek warned her. He carefully placed the baby on the clear plastic scale, but he kept both of his giant hands hovering just one inch away the entire time.

But Roxy did not have time to rest.

"Okay, mom, the next one is ready!" the head doctor cheered, snapping Roxy right back into reality.

The exhausting, painful process started all over again. Roxy gripped Torian’s hand this time, pushing with absolutely everything she had left in her tired body. Ten minutes later, a second loud, beautiful cry echoed through the room. A tiny baby girl was placed on Roxy’s chest.

Then came the third. Roxy gave one final, massive push. A third cry joined the noisy chorus. Another perfect baby girl.

Roxy fell back onto the pillows, totally completely spent. She had successfully delivered all three babies.

The nurses cleaned them up and wrapped them tightly in soft, warm blankets. One blue striped blanket, and two pink striped blankets. Zarek carefully carried the tiny boy over to Roxy, while Kaelen and Caspian each carried a baby girl.

Roxy looked down at her brand new son. Her heart completely melted into a warm puddle. He was incredibly handsome. He had thick, dark hair and the exact same strong, stubborn jawline as his father. He was an exact mini version of Drax, her older son in the Beastworld. But when the tiny boy blinked his eyes open, they were not dark. They were bright, glowing honey colored eyes, exactly like Zarek’s.

The two little girls were just as perfect. They both had heads full of messy dark curls. When they looked around the bright hospital room, they showed off big, bright green eyes that perfectly matched Roxy’s.

They were not supposed to open their eyes now, yet their eyes were open.

"They are perfect," Roxy whispered, happy tears totally soaking her cheeks.

The Kings crowded around the hospital bed, completely totally amazed. Torian gently poked the tiny boy’s cheek with his giant finger, grinning like an absolute fool when the baby yawned. Ren and Syris looked at the two girls, already completely wrapped around their tiny fingers.

Because Syris had completely bought the hospital wing and brought his own private medical gear, they didn’t have to stay long. The doctors checked Roxy and the triplets, completely amazed by how healthy and strong they all were. The doctor signed the release papers right there.

They wrapped Roxy in a thick, warm coat and carried her out to the waiting SUV.

The winter blizzard had finally stopped. The city was totally buried in deep, quiet white snow, but Kaelen drove the massive truck easily back up the mountain.

When they finally brought the triplets home to the giant mansion, it was an incredibly beautiful, deeply emotional moment.

Torian pushed the heavy oak front doors open. The giant stone house was perfectly warm and totally safe. Mr. Vance and the security guards were standing by the stairs, completely smiling as the Kings proudly carried the three babies inside.

They walked up the wide wooden stairs and into the massive nursery Torian and Kaelen had spent weeks completely baby proofing. The room was huge. It had soft, thick rugs, walls painted a calm, pale yellow, and three beautiful wooden cribs lined up perfectly in a row. freewebnøvel.com

Zarek laid his son down in the first crib. Caspian and Ren carefully laid the two girls down in the others.

Roxy stood in the doorway, leaning tiredly against Zarek’s chest. She looked at her three beautiful, sleeping babies. She looked at her six giant, totally devoted husbands standing around the cribs like heavily armed guards. She finally had her Earth family. She was totally, completely happy.

Ren gently picked Roxy up and carried her into the master bedroom. He laid her down on the giant, soft bed and pulled the heavy silk blankets all the way up to her chin. Roxy was so incredibly tired from pushing three humans out of her body that she fell asleep before her head even hit the pillow. She was totally knocked out cold.

The giant mansion fell into perfect, quiet peace.

But that peace did not last very long at all.

Fast forward a few hours. The digital clock on the bedside table flipped perfectly to 3:00 AM.

In the massive nursery down the hall, a tiny, angry wail broke the total silence.

The boy woke up first. He was hungry, and he wanted everyone in the entire house to know it. He started crying loudly. Ten seconds later, the girl in the middle crib woke up. She did not like the loud noise her brother was making, so she started screaming at the top of her tiny lungs. The noise woke up the third girl, and she immediately joined the totally chaotic choir.

All three babies were screaming at the exact same time.

Down the hall in the master bedroom, Roxy didn’t even stir. She was sleeping so deeply she didn’t hear a single sound. Her chest rose and fell perfectly smoothly.

But the Kings definitely heard it.

Six massive, totally terrifying mafia bosses practically sprinted down the hallway in their pajama pants. They burst through the nursery doors, completely panicked.

Zarek ran to the boy’s crib. Torian ran to the middle crib. Caspian ran to the third.

"What is wrong with them?!" Torian panicked, his bright blue eyes totally wide. He hovered his giant hands over the crying baby girl, completely terrified to touch her because she looked so small and fragile. "Are they hurt? Did something bite them?!"

"They are just babies, Torian, they cry!" Syris yelled over the incredibly loud noise, rubbing his tired eyes.

"Well make them stop!" Kaelen ordered, covering his sensitive wolf ears. "They are going to wake Roxy up! She needs to sleep!" freewebnovel.cσ๓

Zarek awkwardly picked his son up, holding the tiny, screaming boy out away from his chest like he was holding a ticking bomb. The fierce Dragon King could literally burn an entire city to the ground, but he looked completely helpless holding a seven pound baby.

"Shh," Zarek tried to soothe the baby. His deep, rumbling voice just made the boy cry even louder.

The girls kept screaming. The boy kept screaming. The six giant men just stood there in the middle of the soft yellow nursery, totally completely exhausted and totally helpless. They looked at each other with wide, panicked eyes. They had hundreds of millions of dollars. They had an entire human empire. But right now, none of that mattered.

They were completely defeated by three tiny, hungry humans.

Ren leaned back against the doorframe. He crossed his arms over his chest, looking at his five giant brothers panicking over the screaming cribs. He let out a long, heavy, totally tired sigh.

"Here we go again."
