After that, he left the villa.

Desmonda, Asmodeus, Luke, Seraphina, and Candice were already waiting for him before a ride.

"Nice ride Luke," Seraphina said.

"Was a gift," Luke replied.

"From...?" Candice asked, curiosity on her face.

"His girlfriend," Asmodeus said.

All this while, Desmonda was just on her phone. She didn’t know these teammates. So it would be unnatural to just butt in.

As for Asmodeus, he went way back with him. Their families were friends from Harland City.

Suddenly, the group saw someone approaching.

Long brown hair. Dark eyes. Fair skin. In a t-shirt, long coats, jeans and sneakers.

He looked handsome. But his demeanor was that of a civil, and ordinary person.

Aiden arrived before them.

"Good evening everyone," Aiden greeted them politely.

"Evening, Mr Vhorn," they responded.

"Just Aiden will do please," Aiden said. He did not see the need for unnecessary formalities.

"Alright." The group nodded.

"I’m Luke. I’m the healer of the group. Light affinity," Luke introduced himself.

"I’m Seraphina. Sound affinity," Seraphina introduced herself.

"I’m Candice, Ice affinity," Candice introduced herself.

"Aiden, blood affinity," Aiden said.

"Desmonda, lightning affinity."

"Asmodeus, gravity affinity."

This was a formal thing done if a team was working together for the first time. It was to make sure they familiarised themselves with their affinities so they knew how to cooperate.

After that, the group hopped into the ride of Luke.

The car left Derulo City University.

The car was a van. It had six rows.

Each row had three seats. So, three people were seated at the front. Three were seated in the middle row and three were seated in the last row.

Currently, Aiden was seated with Asmodeus and Desmonda in the last row.

However, no one said a word to the other.

Even the others at the front and middle rows were silent. They were all on their phones.

Only Luke, who was driving, could not use his phone.

"Damn, it’s too quiet in here," Luke clicked his tongue.

"What you gotta do, cry like a little bitch?" Candice said.

"Give it a rest Candice," Seraphina said. "You’ve been acting weird ever since Luke said he has a girlfriend. If you had feelings for him, you should have gone and just told him, instead of picking on him."

"Well, that was unexpected," Asmodeus said.

Luke whistled and looked at Candice for a moment.

Her cheeks were crimson.

"Heh. You see," Seraphina said, "she likes you."

Luke was surprised. "Is this true Candice?"

Candice was taken aback by his words.

"It doesn’t matter now, does it?" she replied. "Unless you have feelings for me too?"

"I did it in the past, but you were with someone at the time, so I moved on," Luke replied honestly.

Candice was a bit disappointed. However, she understood.

"Well, it’s water under the bridge," she said. "At least I have closure now. I’m responsible for not shooting my shot when I had the chance."

"Well, Asmodeus is single. And Aiden is totally your type," Seraphina said.

Aiden and Asmodeus looked at her with shock.

What the hell was wrong with this lady? Saying anything that just came out of her mouth?

"Don’t be shocked Aiden," Candice said. "You’ll get used to her since we will be working together on this mission for a while. That’s just how she is."

Aiden simply smiled politely, and returned to what he was doing.

As for Asmodeus, he shook his head quietly and sighed.

Desmonda was comfortably quiet on her phone.

"I think Seraphina and Asmodeus will do well as a couple, right?" Luke said.

"You..." Seraphina was flabbergasted.

"You have feelings for Asmodeus, Seraphina," Candice said. "Ever since we were kids. But Asmodeus has always been a slowpoke. Not realizing it. For helping me confess to Luke and get closure, I’m also doing you a favor."

"Interesting. It’s like watching a soap opera," Aiden thought. But he had a very innocent expression on his face.

Desmonda looked at Aiden for a moment. "He must be clearly enjoying this"

Aiden was oblivious to her thoughts. He was currently playing a game.

As for Asmodeus, he was feeling weird.

"Is it true?" he asked Seraphina.

"Yeah. You’ve always been so uptight about everything. So I didn’t know the right time to tell you," she said.

Seraphina was quite surprised but she was happy.

She looked at Candice and whispered, "Thank you," to her.

Candice simply nodded warmly. She was happy for her friend. As for Luke, at least she knew she should move on now.

"There we go. Now everyone is happy," Luke said. "Oh, we have arrived."
