Chapter 64: Chapter 64 I want to watch them suffer!

Her gaze darkened.

"I hate dogs that break agreements the most."

"Dogs?!" Mr. Charles snapped instantly, anger flaring in his eyes as his expression twisted with rage. He immediately turned toward the agent standing beside him. "Did she just call us dogs?!"

The agent swallowed slightly, then stepped forward with forced composure.

"Let’s just go inside now, boss," he said quickly, his tone uneasy but calculated. "Or... we could threaten her properly first. Women usually have softer hearts than men, after all."

"True," Mr. Charles muttered after a beat.

He raised his hand sharply.

"Bring them out!"

At his command, two burly men moved toward the second truck. They opened the back doors and dragged out two injured women.

One of them had a badly wounded leg, blood soaking through the fabric as she was forced to limp forward. The other had a heavily bandaged head injury, her steps unsteady and weak. Both women had their hands and legs tightly bound, forcing them to stumble and be pushed forward just to move.

"Please... let us go... please..." one of the women cried weakly.

Before she could finish, Mr. Charles stepped forward and slapped her hard across the face.

Smack!

The impact echoed sharply.

She gasped, blood spilling from the corner of her mouth as her head snapped to the side.

"Shut up, bitch," he growled irritably, shaking his hand slightly as if her voice had offended him personally. "You’re making noise in my ears."

He then scratched his ear casually, his expression one of annoyance.

Then, turning his attention upward toward Ivy, he spoke again.

"You see... it’s either you come down here now and talk to us properly," he said slowly, "or you watch them die right in front of you."

His gaze hardened.

The two women trembled violently, silent tears streaming down their faces as they looked upward in desperation.

"Beg her," Mr. Charles ordered coldly, glancing down at them. "Only she can save your lives... so you can go back to your children."

Ding!

{Going out will only grant them access to barge inside your shelter.}

{They cannot enter now since your bunker is protected by the system. However, stepping outside the gate will result in your death—instant electrocution will be triggered.}

{Should I activate the ground traps you previously installed, Host? You have not tested them yet.}

---

Ivy’s lips curled into a faint, dangerous smirk.

"No need," she replied immediately.

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she continued watching from above.

"If they’re going to die... then they’re not getting an easy death."

---

"You’re wasting my time, young woman," Mr. Charles called out again, impatience creeping into his tone. "Do you accept or not? Come down here... or watch them die."

He gestured roughly toward the two women again.

"Maybe you should beg her instead," he added cruelly, leaning closer to his captives. "She’s your only hope if you want to live and return to your children."

The women sobbed quietly, trembling harder at his words.

"Please, help us, miss..." one of the women cried out, her voice breaking as fresh tears streamed down her cheeks. "I have a three-year-old daughter waiting for me at home. Please... just come down here and let them release us. Please..."

Her sobs shook her entire body as she struggled against the ropes binding her hands.

The second woman immediately followed, her voice trembling as she spoke through tears.

"Today is my son’s eighteenth birthday," she said, her breathing uneven. "I only promised him I would bring back a cake and some cooking ingredients this morning so I could cook for him."

Her lips quivered.

"He didn’t even want the ingredients," she continued weakly. "He just wanted me to stay with him for his birthday... but I snuck out, just to make him happy in my own way before I was captured." freewebnoveℓ.com

A choked sob escaped her throat.

"I just want to go home... back to him. I’m not even going back to the supermarket anymore. His only wish was for me to be beside him today... and I just want to fulfill that one wish now."

"Enough!"

Mr. Charles’ voice cut through the air sharply, silencing both women instantly.

He then turned his attention back upward toward Ivy, his expression cold and demanding.

"Did you hear that now?" he asked, his tone laced with pressure.

Ivy remained still for a moment, her gaze fixed downward. Then she let out a quiet scoff under her breath.

And where does that leave my children if I fulfill everyone’s wishes?

"I’m not going to be the same fool I was in the last apocalypse," she murmured inwardly, her expression hardening. "Never again."

Her eyes sharpened.

"I repeat," Ivy said aloud, her voice dropping into something colder and more dangerous. "You dogs better leave this place now... before I unleash my wrath on all of you."

Her tone this time carried absolute finality.

One of the women, overwhelmed with desperation and anger, suddenly snapped.

"Did you even listen to us?!" she shouted, tears still falling. "Do you really want them to kill our children?! What is wrong with you?! Why can’t you just come out and talk to them?! Why are you being so evil?!"

The words echoed in the tense air.

Ivy’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"Evil?" she repeated slowly, almost amused, but there was no warmth in it. "You think I’m the evil one here?"

She let out a faint, cold scoff.

"You all are standing there begging me to walk into a trap you can clearly see... just so these men can spare your miserable lives. And yet I’m the evil one?"

Her gaze turned sharper, colder.

"You already know exactly what kind of men brought you here."

Silence followed for a brief moment.

Then Ivy’s expression shifted. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"Get me two chickens," she ordered suddenly, her voice snapping into command.

The system responded instantly in her mind.

Ding!

{Right away, Host.}

"I want them killed inside the system if possible," Ivy continued without hesitation. "I only need their blood collected in buckets."

Her eyes darkened further.

"And bring me my bow and arrows."

She exhaled slowly, her tone turning almost icy calm.

"As I said... these fools are not dying quickly. I want to watch them suffer... slowly."

Ding!

{Understood, Host. Resources are being prepared.}
