Chapter 101: Chapter 101 We don’t have much time.

Some of the men had thick bandages wrapped around their heads, now heavily stained with blood. Others had broken arms or injured legs twisted at unnatural angles.

Pain and exhaustion filled their faces.

A few soldiers groaned weakly while trying to stay conscious.

The atmosphere inside the truck was heavy and tense.

Just then, the driver suddenly slowed down.

The moment the truck approached Ivy’s bunker, his eyes landed on the rows of fresh vegetables growing vibrantly behind the fence.

Beside them was a clean fish pond reflecting sunlight beautifully.

The sight alone was enough to make his eyes widen in complete disbelief.

The truck screeched to a stop.

“What the hell...” the driver muttered under his breath before quickly getting out of the truck. “Oh my goodness! Do you all see that too?!”

Several men inside immediately frowned in confusion.

“Just what is it now?” one of the injured soldiers asked impatiently, annoyance clear in his tone. “Is anything more important than getting our comrades treated? They’re bleeding badly!”

The driver pointed toward the bunker with trembling fingers.

“I’m trying to tell you that we might not need to travel all the way back to headquarters anymore,” he explained hurriedly. “There’s a bunker right here!”

The moment the others heard that, they instantly became alert.

“A bunker?” another man repeated in shock before quickly peeking outside. "Are you for real right now?"

The moment they saw the thriving crops and organized surroundings, disbelief flashed across their faces.

In the middle of the apocalypse...

There was actually a place like this?

The driver swallowed hard before speaking again.

"Woah. I really can’t believe I’ll be seeing drag plants again. The monster horrible smell prevent plants from growing, but here is not affected."

“I’m sure someone lives here,” he continued. “Look at those vegetables. They’re fresh and healthy. Nobody abandons a place like this.”

His greedy gaze swept across the area.

“This bunker seems to have everything we need,” he added slowly. “Food... water... maybe even medicine.”

One of the soldiers narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

“Maybe the owner went out scavenging,” he guessed.

Another soldier clenched his jaw before speaking.

“If people truly live here, then they’ll definitely have medical supplies too.”

The injured men inside the truck groaned painfully again.

Blood continued dripping onto the truck floor.

Seeing this, the atmosphere immediately became more tense.

“We can ask them to let us in peacefully,” one of the men suggested. “And if they refuse...”

His expression darkened slightly.

“...then we’ll force our way in.”

The others exchanged glances before nodding slowly in agreement.

At this point, survival mattered more than manners.

Soon, several soldiers stepped out of the truck despite their injuries.

One of them walked toward the bunker gate cautiously before raising his voice.

“Hello?!” he shouted loudly. “Is anyone home? We need your assistance!”

His tone carried slight desperation.

“Our friends are seriously injured and need treatment immediately!”

However...

No response came.

Only silence greeted them.

The soldier frowned slightly before trying again.

“Hello?! Please, can we speak with the owner of this bunker? Please kindly give us some medicinal herbs you have."

This time, impatience slowly crept into his voice.

Still...

Silence.

Unknown to them, Aria, Lila, and Pearl could not hear anything happening outside.

The bunker was completely soundproof thanks to the system’s modifications.

Not even the loud truck engine could penetrate through the walls.

One of the men scratched his head in confusion.

“Is anyone really living here?” he muttered suspiciously. “Or maybe they’ve been killed by monsters on their way out?”

Another soldier looked toward the flourishing crops again.

Then one of them finally spoke the thought lingering in everyone’s mind.

“Should we just break in?” he suggested carefully. “We can find medicine and treat our comrades first. Later, we’ll explain everything properly to the owner that if they’re still alive.”

Several others immediately nodded.

“Exactly.”

“We don’t have much time.”

“Our captain and comrades could die at this rate.”

“Treatment comes first.”

One of the soldiers then stepped forward while gripping a large hammer tightly in his hand.

His plan was simple.

Break the heavy lock securing the bunker gate from outside.

However.... fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

The instant he took another step forward....

“AHHHHHHH!!” fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

A horrifying scream suddenly echoed through the area.

The man disappeared instantly.

Clang!

The hammer fell loudly onto the ground.

The remaining soldiers froze in absolute shock before rushing forward instinctively.

Only to discover that the man had fallen directly into one of the hidden traps Ivy had set around the bunker earlier.

Sharp metal spikes pierced through parts of his leg while ropes tightened violently around his body.

Blood splattered across the ground instantly.

The terrifying sight sent waves of panic and fear through the others.
