"There has been a lot of talk about my future wife but I have turned down the offers. I don’t plan to spend the rest of my life with a woman I do not love. I want to have a marriage similar to how my father loved my mother. It wasn’t an arranged marriage or wanting something from the other person. They truly loved each other. If some of the people here had it their way, they wouldn’t have allowed my father to marry her."
"Your father stood his ground and married her. Marrying to gain something seems to be a trend everywhere and then many wonders why they are so lonely. It’s good you are sticking to your heart but I fear I might die with the way many of your admirers are looking at me. "I can’t tell whether I love or hate your confidence now," Aurora said, rolling her eyes when he hinted at the fact he was well desired. He didn’t need to tell her. One could tell just by looking at his face and body that many would want him. "These women are longing after you but little do they know how many tricks you love to play or how blunt your words are. One day with you and they’ll want the marriage to be over with."

"I already told you, I am only a gentleman to those who deserve it. People like that woman are deserving of what I am sending their way. You might surprise yourself and be the one who kills her. You were the one she kept captive and you might be the last person she sees before drawing her last breath. For what your brother did, you might do the same-"
"No! I wouldn’t hurt Samuel even after the choice he has made. We are siblings even though it is not by blood." Aurora never planned to hurt Samuel or Regina
"I have seen many siblings who were once close from birth turn on each other without a second thought. They painted the sibling’s blood on the floors and walls as a sign no one would stand in the way of what they wanted. The harsh reality you and your siblings need to understand is the world will get to you and greed will get in between you. Sooner or later, the bond you have will disappear. "Vincent!" Aurora exclaimed, refusing to believe that.
"Here’s something you should know about me, Aurora. I have the ability to smell death lingering on someone and the scent was strong that night I came to rescue you. It was coming from your sister or your brother. One of them is not going to live for much longer and I have a feeling it is the other who will kill them. Considering the relationship you have with your sister, I would hope she is the one who doesn’t die but the world doesn’t care about what we want."
Aurora closed her eyes and covered her ears with her hands. She didn’t want to hear this right now. She refused to believe that Regina and Samuel would turn on each other. They were blood-related and close to each other. Sure they bickered constantly but they wouldn’t try to kill each other. "I was standing close to the two of them that night. What if the scent of death was lingering on me? What would you do then?"
