Chapter 288: Moving on (3)
Seeing his uncle like this, Victor did not feel any remorse. This was a man who killed his brother and sister-in-law and then tried to kill his nephew. Victor wished to kill his uncle with his own hands at first but having Graham be killed by the vampires he betrayed his own family with was satisfying. Graham was a fool to think a werewolf could betray his own by working with vampires and get away with it.

"Take him down," Victor ordered the men who brought Graham’s body to him. A crowd started to form to look at the body. It would be a pain to deal with people panicking about Vampires being nearby. "Have his body tied up outside the gates to be eaten by the birds. Have groups scout around the forest to make sure the vampires are gone. Warn those building the new gates to be careful," Victor gave orders.
"Yes sir!"
"After the birds have eaten enough of him, you should toss his body with his wife to scare her a little bit," Derek gave Victor an idea. "This will be a good present for when Vincent returns. To see his uncle in this state."
"I don’t want anyone telling Vincent about my uncle’s body being returned. Let Vincent continue to enjoy time with Aurora when he returns instead of bothering him with these matters. He told me he intends to marry Aurora as soon as they return," said Victor.
"So I have heard. They go great together so a wedding is expected. Hopefully whatever they set off to do went well. I’d hate for any of them to get hurt."
Just like Derek, Victor hoped no harm had come to either his brother or Aurora. The humans they were going up against seemed to be dangerous. He wished Vincent could have been able to send back a letter to inform him of what was being done.
"It’s getting too late. I’m going to head to bed. Good night," Derek patted Victor’s back and turned around to go into Vincent’s home.
"Good night-Why the hell would you be going to bed in Vincent’s house?" Victor caught himself after he realized where Derek planned to sleep. Vincent was the type to enjoy anyone being in his home. "You know my brother is not going to be pleased that you have been staying over here."
"He will only know if you or the butler tells him but the butler rarely speaks. Don’t be a snitch," said Derek.
Meanwhile,
Aurora and Regina returned to Timothy’s home and found the children they saved asleep in the living room after filling their stomachs with food. Regina had decided it was best to let the children sleep as they were now as they most likely did not have a good rest in a long time. Plus, she was not prepared to deal with children right now when her family was on her mind.
"I’m going to freshen up and get some rest, Aurora. I will see you in the morning," Regina informed Aurora then started to walk off to go to Timothy’s bedroom which she had been using.
"Okay," Aurora softly replied. She knew Regina needed this space right now but she still needed to be comforted. Aurora knew Regina would want to be strong in front of her but Regina needed a shoulder to cry on.
"Aurora," Vincent’s voice was heard behind her. He followed her scent back to Timothy’s house. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
Aurora looked around and found Vincent and Timothy standing side by side. A human from a family of hunters and a werewolf are cordial around each other. Artemis would never believe this. "Were you able to take care of Gilbert, Timothy?"
"Yes. Killed him in his bed," Timothy lifted his sword to show her the blood that coated it.
"Is it because he wanted Regina that you went so hard-"
"What?" Timothy interrupted her as he wasn’t aware that Gilbert had once wanted Regina. "When was this? Had I known I would have enjoyed it a little bit more. Where is Regina?"
"She has gone to freshen up and go to bed. I think you should be the one to go comfort her. She lost a lot tonight and there must be so much she is holding in," said Aurora.
"You are closer to her than I am. Isn’t it better for you to go?" Timothy wanted to check on Regina but he did not want to go to her if she was expecting Aurora to be the one to show up. He had always known Regina to be strong so would she want to break down and be comforted by him?
"It’s because of how close we are that she will not want to be comforted by me. Regina will not want me to open up to me to seem like she regrets what happened last night. The two of you will get married anyway. Best you start learning how to comfort Regina now," Aurora said.
"Right," Timothy decided to do it since Aurora was pushing for him to go. She knew Regina better than he did ao he had to trust her judgment. "I will inform you of what happened
-"
"No," Aurora interrupted him. "Keep it between the two of you. Now go before it is too late,’ she shooed him away.
"Right," Timothy said, then practically ran to look for Regina.
"Young love," Aurora said as she reached to hold Vincent’s hand. Since she had gained all her memories back this strangely felt like the most peaceful moment between them."Is it alright if we stay here a bit longer? I need to make sure she is alright and over relationship has not changed. Plus there is-"
"We can. We can stay a little longer," Vincent reassured her. It would just mean Victor would end up doing more work and then complain about it.
