Chapter 280: Give it up (1)

"I-Is this as satisfying as you thought it would be, Aurora?" Minnie questioned as black spots filled her vision. freewebnovel.cσ๓

"The fact I found you locked away in a cell makes it wonderful. You should know, your real punishment starts from the moment your soul leaves your body. The underworld loves to torture people like you have hurt innocent people. I hope you will be able to find your grandfather’s soul and see what he has become. Who knows. I hope that when they torment you, my face shows up," said Aurora.

"It will not be torture for me if I can meet my mother. Regina is now a witch and it won’t be long before she realizes her destiny to regain glory for our family and have witches flying over this land. I have close friends-"

"You mean Gilbert?" Aurora interrupted her boring speech. "He has been dealt with. He will not target Regina and he will not continue with your plans. Those three witches you hired were my friends. They don’t care about having witches take over. They only want frogs," she smiled.

"You..." Minnie’s hands trembled, desperately wishing to drive a knife through Aurora’s heart before her life ended. "You were once my friend but I don’t regret what I have done. I hope someone takes my place and traps you again. Avenge me that way, son."

Minnie’s body went limp after a brief moment of silence.

Aurora cocked her head to the side watching Esmeralda’s soul linger around Minnie. She couldn’t judge Esmeralda for being this way after everything Minnie had done as this was her daughter and Esmeralda most blamed herself for the way Minnie turned out.

"Leave," Nathaniel ordered Aurora through gritted teeth. He clenched his fists to fight back the anger he felt. He was tired of his mother and placed her in this cell to protect his children but he did not want her to die.

Nathaniel had a doctor quickly treat his mother after he struck her in the head. He was going to hold onto hope that everything could become peaceful when they no longer cared about their witch side. Aurora had ruined everything. His family was now ruined. "Never return to this land," he said.

As Aurora watched Esmeralda continue to hold Minnie’s body, she found Nathaniel’s words to be interesting. "I could say the same thing for you. I’m certain you are aware this land never belonged to your family. Return it with your own hands and I might spare you for Regina’s sake. If I have to burn this house myself, you will end up dying."

"It doesn’t matter who this house belonged to originally. It now belongs to us. We’ve worked hard to" ƒгeewebnovёl.com

"You’re all greedy," Aurora interrupted him. "I will free the souls you have trapped here. Why aren’t you following your daughter to the underworld?" Aurora questioned Esmeralda. "Don’t tell me you are trying to get inside of her body. Leave before your soul changes, Esmeralda."

"I should apologize to that child," said Esmeralda.

"Regina? You can if you wish but she does not take well to anyone abandoning her. Perhaps at a time like this, she will let it go and forgive you quickly. Have you made your decision yet? Nathaniel? Will you return what you have stolen or will I have to take it by force?" Aurora glanced to the side of her where Nathaniel stood. "This house never belonged to you. Give it back."

"Fine," Nathaniel decided to give it up. They had enough money to be fine without this house. They could buy another one or build this one back up from the ground one day. "Leave everything else for us."

"Why? Why on earth should I do that? Why should I let you keep the businesses you created from money that did not belong to you? What’s the point in burning this house down just to let you keep everything else? You’ll learn to make your own money starting with nothing. Your businesses no longer belong-"

"You can’t do that," Nathaniel took a step forward ignoring one of the knives pushing into his forehead when he stepped forward. "We cannot be left with nothing when we’ve always had everything. How can you do this to Regina?"

Aurora did not have to worry about Regina. Nathaniel must have forgotten that Regina agreed to marry Timothy who was wealthy. "Regina will be well taken care of when she gets married. All of you will have to figure out what is your next step. I suggest you run," Aurora said as she placed her hand on a wall and watched a darkness form. "I’m going to burn this house down."

"Have you always been this crazy? Everyone else is still on the inside," Nathaniel pushed the knives out of his way, ignoring the pain from where the knives had pierced him.

He was more concerned with getting his family out of the house before it could be destroyed and his family along with it. He hoped this would show Regina why she should not look to hold onto a relationship with Aurora. How could Aurora care for Regina but start this when Regina was still here?

"So dramatic," Aurora commented on Nathaniel’s reaction. The house was going to burn as quickly as he was expecting. "Chaos, she called on her sibling she knew had to be nearby.

"It’s been forever since you’ve called for me. Do you need my help destroying this house?" Chaos appeared out of thin air. "It’s been so lonely since Artemis left us. Am I allowed to kill anyone I come across? You should want all of them to die, not just the old woman," he bent over to get a good look at Minnie’s dead body. "Nice work."

"Do not kill anyone, Chaos. Just light a fire around and do whatever it is you do to make this house crumble. Do not make me regret calling you instead of someone else."

"How boring, Aurora. Why are you the only one to kill someone? You are lucky I enjoy setting fire to this world," he grinned before disappearing.
