Chapter 254: Sisterhood (1)
Aurora enjoyed the breeze in her hair after Vincent called for the horse to start running and they were on their way towards the gate to head to the human town. Everyone rushed out the way to let Vincent’s horse pass by.
They were probably all surprised by a strange-looking man riding Vincent’s horse with a woman they did not know. Victor would be left with the task of explaining the person they saw was none other than Vincent.
Their trip away from the werewolves would be a small vacation for Vincent for the first time in his life. He took on the responsibility of being the leader from the moment his father died. Though they were leaving for her to get rid of the Hamiltons, Aurora planned to make him enjoy his time away before they returned.
"They are starting the new walls already," Aurora said as they rode past a look of people dragging around the wood cut to build the new walls. freeweɓnøvel.com
"We are looking to have it done before the next winter. We need the stations for guards to look out for threats to go up quickly. When we return, a lot would have changed," said Vincent.
He was counting on everyone to not slack off while he was away. There was a lot to be done with the new walls and setting up traps around in case vampires were to attack. Victor needed to take the job handed to him seriously as many lives depended on him.
"I see. When we return I will grow some trees to help block off the gates from being seen in the distance. If only I could make this forest act like the one Artemis lived in. It would attack those who had no business entering the forest. I will try to create something like that in the future to help get rid of your enemies."
Aurora wanted to find all possible ways to decrease Vincent from having to go out and defend the community. She was worried one day he would not win a fight and return to her as a corpse.
"How kind of you," Vincent replied.
"Here is almost my home and I have to protect it along with you just like I always tried to protect the forest Artemis lived in. With her gone, I must continue to look over it until she returns."
"If she returns," Vincent didn’t see Artemis returning from wherever she went. In a world where Gods were no longer needed by humans, he preferred Artemis stayed wherever she had gone.
"That is true. I wonder if the others left with her. If not, they will probably seek me out and try to get me to follow them to go after Artemis. Artemis is like my mother but I will not follow after her. I cannot leave you again," Aurora said.
"I would not let you go. If Artemis wanted you to be with her, you would not be with me right now. You somehow became your own person and she is fine with that. I hate to be a bad partner but if your siblings come looking to take you away, I will not allow them to come near you."
"You shouldn’t. My siblings love causing trouble and although it was fun back in the day, I am different now. They would most likely get distracted from causing Artemis and look to harass humans. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to stop them from coming near me. They are shadow creatures and wherever there is a shadow near me, my siblings can easily find me," Aurora explained.
She was once a shadow creature and knew how easy it was to get to anyone you wish to see. "I hope my siblings can find their own purpose in life. Just like I did and strangely Chaos did."
"Do you know what made you change from being a shadow to an actual person?" Vincent asked as he never knew how she was different from the others.
"I think I felt some sort of emotion for the first time. I am not certain and the only person who knew what happened might be Artemis but she is the type of person to keep it a secret. I hope wherever she is, she is happy. Do you think we will succeed against the Hamiltons?" Aurora wanted to hear his honest opinion.
"As long as we carefully plan our moves and do not act on emotions, we will be fine. We need to get into contact with the young Hamilton girl since she would be the one weakness for you that they have in their hands. You must make sure she is not acting on her emotions and get her on the same page as you. This will be hard considering we are going to be getting rid of her blood relatives."
"I don’t think it will be that hard. When I last spoke to Regina, she didn’t care about her family dying. In my absence, they must have pushed her over the edge. They had always tried to control her life and Regina preferred to be a free spirit. I wouldn’t be surprised by Regina killing her family before we do," Aurora could see that happening.
She wouldn’t be upset if she wasn’t the one to end the lives of the Hamiltons. Aurora only wanted to see Minnie dead and didn’t care how it happened.
"Your sisterhood must be strong for her to want to kill her family for you. I am still surprised she knocked her brother over the head for you to escape. I owe her a favor for helping you leave." Vincent never thought there would be a day he owed Hamilton a favor but he could not ignore how helpful the Regina girl had been. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"Regina will enjoy hearing you owe her a favor. You can’t take back your words once you hear what she wants you to do or she might knock you over the head. She has always been fearless and protected me throughout our childhood. Even though she has expressed wanting her family to die, I don’t know how I will look her in the eye after I have done it."
This was a lingering thought that suddenly bothered Aurora. She was not leaving until the Hamiltons were all dead and nothing was going to stop her but what if this were to create a rift between her and Regina?
What if Regina suddenly regretted letting her family be killed by someone who was not related to her? Aurora needed to speak with Regina quickly to hear what she felt about all of this now.
Would their sisterhood be good after the Hamiltons are dead and Aurora needed to return to be with Vincent? How would Regina handle being left alone with no one?
