Chapter 235: Bonfire (1)

"You look lovely Aurora," Cherry clapped her hands happy that the dress she created for Aurora turned out fantastic. "We’re so lucky I had it done in time for this unexpected bonfire."

"I still have plenty of dresses I have not worn yet in my closet. Was a new dress truly needed?" Aurora asked as she looked in the mirror.

Although it certainly was beautiful, what was the point of getting a new one just for the bonfire tonight?

"Aurora, we’ve been through this already. A woman can never have too many clothes especially when you are friends with a dressmaker. You must promise me that I shall be the one to make your wedding dress. Promise me," Cherry pointed her brush dangerously close to Aurora’s face.

Aurora looked down at the brush and then back up to meet Cherry’s eyes. "I promise if you do not attack me with the brush."

"Deal," Cherry retreated. "You know, I kind of miss shy Aurora. You were really cute back then but I guess you wouldn’t have lasted so long here. If not for you turning back to normal we both could have been seriously hurt the night we got kidnapped."

"Cherry, do you like women?"

"Completely ignored my heart-to-heart moment just now but to answer your question, yes I do, however, Victor is supreme. Oh my gosh, I forgot to mention this as soon as I saw you but look," Cherry started to unbutton the front of her dress.

Seeing this, Aurora quickly looked away. "I am not interested, Cherry but you are a good woman."

"What? Oh, you have the wrong idea Aurora. I mean this mark right here," Cherry pointed to her chest.

"You found your mate," Aurora replied, looking at the mark just above Cherry’s left breast. It is identical to the one appearing on her body from time to time. "Congratulations. It is about time that you and Victor take your relationship to the next step. If the two of you have always been meant to be together, why did the mark wait so long to show up?"

Aurora never could understand how werewolves and their mates worked. There was a lot to it and the only ones to understand it was the werewolves themselves.

"Victor and I have been denying our feelings for so long and then recently we just connected. One thing led to another and now the mark is finally showing. If my parents find out they would make us get married right away. These days it’s so rare to find your mate. That is why you should flaunt that you and Vincent are mates."

"I don’t care if the people here like it if I am with Vincent anymore. As long as we love each other is all that matters. I would like to have a relationship with everyone where they wouldn’t kidnap me," Aurora joked. "I won’t waste any more of my time trying to make them like me. I have wasted too much of my time away from Vincent."

Cherry placed the hairbrush down now that she was done with it. "I have not been told the exact story of how you and Vincent fell in love. I know from pestering Victor that the two of you met through the moon goddess."

"Vincent was the first creature I met that was not Artemis or my siblings. He was annoying at first and we hated each other so much that we tried killing each other. Artemis put an end to it as our arguments annoyed her. Vincent gradually became my friend informing me of what the world outside the forest was like."

Aurora continued to say, "Eventually I started to like him more than a friend. Vincent snuck me in to live here for a while and Victor had caught us so I became friends with Victor."

"I can’t fathom the rule-driven Vincent sneaking you in here."

"I was created by the moon goddess which granted me the privilege to be here but I guess Vincent didn’t want anyone to see he was with a girl. It would have been too much trouble. During my time here, we confessed our feelings for one another but then things went downhill," said Aurora.

"Do you regret leaving for whatever reason? Had you stayed, those humans wouldn’t have you for so long? You and I would have been friends longer. At least for longer than I remember." Cherry started working on her memory loss situation.

"No. I heard a wish from a young girl there who felt like dying and I became her friend. It could not be helped that her family was so dangerous. I would do it all again but take her away from there. Maybe she would have lived had I just run away with her," Aurora felt guilty for not being able to help Esmeralda.

She had the power to save Esmeralda but was so caught up in finding a new friend that she missed all the signs to leave and take Esmeralda with her.

"I’m going to make things right so that everyone can rest peacefully. I will be gone for a while soon so I hope the bonfire tonight will be a lot of fun," Aurora was ready to go out and see what Vincent prepared for the night.

"It will be lots of fun. Although a lot of people were upset with Vincent’s judgment, a lot of them have changed their minds and are excited to take part in the new plans. I might even shift tonight. It’s been so long that my wolf side must be angry with me. Let’s go," Cherry took hold of Aurora’s hand to lead her out of the bedroom.

Aurora smiled, excited to enjoy the night with Cherry and everyone else. She missed the festival she had been waiting for so tonight should make up for it. Vincent said there would be things placed similar to a festival which gave her the feeling he did that for her since a bonfire was just meant to be sitting around talking by the fire.

"Remember, you two cannot run away from us. It is too dangerous for you to try and run off on your own."

"I would have never imagined lazy Derek would make such a good father. He is quite active these days-"

"I heard that Cherry!" Derek yelled from downstairs. "Almost everyone here heard that. There are four werewolves here plus all of Vincent’s workers."

"It was not meant to be a secret Derek. Take it as a compliment instead. You have impressed all of us here with your daddy skills," said Cherry.

"No offense Cherry but I do not want to hear the term daddy skills leaving your mouth," Derek covered Tara’s ears. "After many conversations with you, I pick up that there is always something sexual to your words."

"How could there be anything sexual with what I said. You just give daddy vibes these days. I am sure Jane is enjoying it," Cherry winked at the woman in question.

"We’re out of here," Derek picked up both Tara and Abigail to leave for the bonfire. Jane followed right behind to make sure he wouldn’t drop the two girls.

"You are something else," Victor wrapped his arm around Cherry’s waist. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

"Of course, that’s why you love me."

Aurora enjoyed the annoyed look on Vincent’s face seeing Cherry and Victor flirt. She figured he was now realizing how much flirting he would have to witness. "Are you ready Vincent?" She decided to distract him.

"Get them the hell out of my house before they start making my niece or nephew," Vincent could not take the sight of his younger brother and Cherry kissing right before him. It was like brother and sister kissing since he viewed Cherry as a sibling.
