Chapter 230: Glamour (2)

"Aurora, I am not sick. I will get the glamour and go with you. I will get it from the more experienced witch and not the one who almost turned me into a goat. When do you intend to leave? It cannot be tonight if the community will be going on a run or having a bonfire," said Vincent.

There were two good ideas he wanted to put to use today.

"Tomorrow would be the best solution. We would have to pack for our stay there, I would have to try to get into contact with Regina, you would have to put someone in charge for the time that you are away, we need an escape plan in case the plan goes left-"

"Aurora!" Vincent shook her shoulders as her rambling was becoming overbearing. "You have enough time to plan everything out. I have been to the human town many times to spy on you and have countless escape plans already. Cross that out."

"That’s not creepy at all."

"I wasn’t some random stalker. I was your lover so I was justified in watching you from afar," said Vincent.

"We shouldn’t forget that I had no memory of you for a long time. Wait, someone suspiciously bumped into me the day I went dress shopping with Regina and the others. Was that you?" Aurora only now remembered the moment.

"Sorry but that was not me. I only arrived in town in time for the harvest festival. Was there another pest buzzing around you? Should I kill them?" Vincent didn’t like sharing what was his and since Aurora was a rare creature in their world many looked to steal her away.

"That’s odd. The person felt familiar unless I misread the feeling. The only person I got a weird vibe from back then was Seth since he was a vampire. Perhaps, there is another vampire in town?"

"That could be possible. Seth had his eyes set on you and might not have been working alone. I killed Seth so I can imagine his partner would be pretty pissed but he hasn’t come here to get even with me. Those bloodsuckers are so cocky they would come here to get revenge though they are outnumbered." This fact alone made Vincent start to think the person might not have been a vampire unless they never cared for their dead partner.

"What if they are watching the Hamiltons waiting for the day I return? The best person for them to follow would be Regina. Her mother has been looking for a husband for her but luckily she will be married to Timothy. We’ll have to keep our eyes alert just in case it really is another vampire," Aurora stated.

There was too much danger piling up around Regina. Wouldn’t it be better for her to just bring Regina back here? She didn’t need to stay in the community. They could live in the old castle until everything was sorted out.

"No," Vincent disagreed with her plan.

"What? You don’t even know what I was thinking. Are you inside of my head again?" Aurora stepped back to get away from him. She told him numerous times in the past she didn’t like the mind thing he did.

What if she was talking to herself in her mind and didn’t realize he was connected to her.

Vincent flicked her forehead with his finger to stop her from rambling again. "I have marked you, Aurora. I don’t have to jump into your head to know what you are thinking. It’s evident from your expression and the emotions you give off."

"I really don’t like this whole mark your mate kind of thing. It’s an invasion of privacy. Why on earth do you need to physically know what I am feeling? Since you love me, shouldn’t you just be able to figure it out on your own? Why did nature give werewolves a cheat?" Aurora wondered.

Was it because they were closer to wild animals than humans and did not understand each other?

"Since I have been marked by you shouldn’t I be able to do the whole mind thing of my own free will?" It wasn’t fair in Aurora’s opinion that Vincent was the only one to do it.

"You can. How do you think we met in what you once called a dream? You did that on your own. How did our conversation about glamorous change to this topic? Focus Aurora," he smiled, teasing her like he wasn’t a giant distraction for her.

"I should just push you down the stairs," she replied, clenching her fists to refrain from actually doing it.

"That would hurt me."

"Everyone is aware such a fall wouldn’t hurt the alpha. You’re practically invisible. I sympathize with your enemies. Oh, how many plans they must have gone through to try and kill you. Why did I fall in love with such a man?" Aurora shook her head not understanding how he was able to charm her.

"Who wouldn’t fall in love with me? I am a catch. Have fun talking to those witches," Vincent bid her goodbye for now. He had a lot to plan with Jane for the bonfire tonight. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

"His confidence never fails me. Back to work," Aurora went back into her bedroom and closed the door. Hopefully, there won’t be any more distractions after this. "I can’t believe he’ll accept a witch placing a spell on him again. Love is weird," she said before breaking the stick the butler gave her.

Once again, green smoke appeared in her bedroom.

"I don’t understand, if these three almost turned Vincent into a goat, why does everyone else do business with them? Shouldn’t a werewolf run from the chance of being turned into a goat? They’ll become lunch for their werewolf friends. What on earth am I thinking?" Aurora smacked her face for thinking of something so stupid when she had more important things to do.

"Do you have any frogs-"

"Shut up! Welcome-Oh! I swear we didn’t kill Vincent!" Minerva yelled the moment she laid eyes on Aurora.
