Chapter 193: Reunion (2)

Going to Aurora’s room would be a suicide mission considering Minnie watched it like a hawk most likely thinking Aurora might magically appear back there. "Or maybe she’s watching to see if I’m going to do something there. Well, she’s right. Should I have let Timothy stay in case I get caught and they try to kill me?"

"My body is screaming danger if I go to that room. I’ll surely get caught if I go in there. Even a blind person could see that. I should have things belonging to Aurora in my room after all the nights she used to sneak in here. Three things shouldn’t be hard to find," Regina stood up to look for the items all around her bedroom.

"I don’t have any dresses belonging to her or any shoes. No bags or hats either. Dammit, why weren’t we the same size so that we could’ve swapped clothes! What kind of sisters were we? Oh, wait," Regina went to her shoes where she had a blanket belonging to Aurora stored away.

Her mother wasn’t a fan of Regina and Aurora sleeping in the same bed so they would have to sneak into each other’s rooms to avoid getting in trouble. Regina had a soft blanket given to her by her father and Aurora fell in love with the softness. Regina had sewn Aurora’s name on the blanket and gave it to her since she loved it.

Aurora was the one to hide it in Regina’s closet so that she could use it when she came to sleep over.

"Your mother might kill me if she finds this blanket in my room. I don’t want to get in trouble," Regina remembered what Aurora told her. freewebnoveℓ.com

It was a good thing they hadn’t put the blanket in Aurora’s room considering they later found out Rachel would be in Aurora’s room from time to time looking for something but they never found out what.

"Technically, this belongs to Aurora since I gave it to her. One down, two more to go. I should have a bracelet Aurora made for me and gave to me after my dance lesson. I think I put it in here," she started rummaging around the jewelry box she used for the pieces she liked most. "Found it," she smiled looking at the green bracelet made of string.

This was done in Aurora’s phase of thinking she should make bracelets for a living in the future. This bracelet was the best-looking one Aurora made and instead of keeping it for herself, it was given to Regina. A red one was given to Samuel. Regina made a blue one for Aurora so that the three of them could match.

"Two down. This is making me really depressed going through all of these memories. To be young and oblivious again won’t be too bad. I just need one more item. I swear it used to feel like my room was full of her things. Why is it so hard to find something when you really need it?"

Regina removed the chair she placed on the closet door and left the room for a moment to look for the last thing she would need to make the spell work. "Where are all those books she used to come in here to make me listen to what she read while I was away. They can’t be in the closet," she placed her hands on her hip looking around for where the books might be.

Aurora left them here in hopes Regina would read them before she went to sleep but instead of reading them, Regina kept shoving them under the bed.

"Right," the realization hit her of what she used to do with the books. She didn’t share the same love for the books Aurora used to enjoy reading and to avoid hurting Aurora’s feelings when she was so excited, she opted to shove them under the bed. "I might have enough books under here to open a book shop."

She got down on her knees to look under her bed and almost screamed at the number of books she did have under her bed. "I was kidding about the book shop but now it might be possible. Why wasn’t Aurora ever concerned about where I was putting these books? Did she just assume I had a good hiding place and why the hell did she never ask for them back? I have so many questions."

Regina pulled out three books just in case the other two things wouldn’t work. Plus, she didn’t feel like getting up again to look for something else. She went back to the closet, put the chair back into position, then picked up everything from the floor that she needed.

This spell required her to use a mirror as a way for her to spy on the other person like looking through a window.

She used her lip paint to draw a triangle and all the symbols the book had. She then had to draw an eye in the middle of the triangle. The last thing Regina needed to do was place each item on all three corners of the triangle.

"How on earth am I going to get them to stick to my mirror?" She asked this question as she placed the bracelet on one corner of the triangle and almost like a magnet, it stuck the mirror in the spot she wanted it to go. "Ugh, that’s kind of amazing."

She decided to use two books instead of the blanket considering it would block her view. Just like the bracelet, the books both stuck to the mirror. A light formed around the triangle after all three items were placed.

Regina suddenly felt an adrenaline rush seeing that it was working so far. She looked down at the book to see the words she needed to chant for it to all work. Regina tried to pronounce the words as accurately as she could and then said," Aurora," as the person she wanted to spy on.

Nothing happened at first which made Regina start to lose confidence that she had finally been able to make something work. "They should write down step by step so we know what is meant to happen afterward. Maybe I drew something wrong? I’m not an artist," she looked back at the signs she drew.

Just then, where she drew the eye in the middle turned black and swirled around in a circle until the eye disappeared. She was left staring at a bed on the other side of whatever she was looking at.

"It’s working," she said in disbelief. Regina was expecting she would have to spend her entire day working on this spell to make it actually work. "I can’t believe I actually did it right! Yes, yes, yes!" She jumped up and down clapping her hands excitedly.

"Where’s Esmeralda when you need her?" Regina looked to her left and right expecting the woman to suddenly show up but she was nowhere to be seen. "This is kind of disappointing but still, I got it to work. Aurora?"

Regina scooted closer to the mirror to get a better look at what she was seeing. The room she was looking at must belong to Aurora unless she had gotten this wrong and was looking at someone else. "This is going to be a waiting game for someone to return," she sighed, going back to the floor to watch the mirror.

Thanks to Minnie, she had all day to wait here for Aurora or someone else to enter the room. Minnie’s order for her not to go to the wine shop turned out to be a blessing in disguise after all.

An hour and a half passed by with Regina waiting around for someone to enter the room. Eventually, her eagerness decreased, and boredom got the best of her. Regina ended up drifting off to sleep missing the moment the door opened and someone entered the room.

"Who is spying on me?" Aurora asked looking into the mirror to see the culprit. Before she attempted to break the mirror to mess up the spell, she found the room she was looking at to be familiar and so was the person sleeping on the floor. "Regina? How on earth did she do this? Regina!" Aurora called out to the sleeping girl.

"I’m reading the book mother," Regina jumped up thinking she was being scolded by her mother.

"Please don’t ever refer to me as that woman. I am not that mean," Aurora smiled, happy to see Regina again even if it was through a mirror. "Do you mind telling me how you learned you are a witch and how you learned to do this," she pointed at the mirror. freёwebnoѵel.com

"Aurora?" Regina scrambled to her feet not believing the sight before her. She pinched her arm to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. "It’s really you. I’ve been waiting so long for you to come into that room. Wait, how do you know I am a witch?"

"It’s a long story honestly but it’s good to see you, sis."
