Chapter 179: No one else (1)

"I am bored," Aurora groaned as she looked up at the ceiling of the living room. It had been a long time since Derek, Jane, and the children left, which should have been fine if Vincent didn’t need to leave right after.

It was late at night now and through the windows, she could see the lanterns placed around giving light to the people who loved walking around at this time. It sounded like a celebration on the outside from the laughter of children running around. Nighttime was best for some creatures like the wolves and vampires.

While everyone had found something to keep them busy, Aurora sat alone without a clue of how to entertain herself. Maybe falling asleep was the best option. When she woke up, Vincent would be home. Unless he would need to work again in the morning.

"I feel like I am a housewife and that is not going to happen," Aurora stood up, determined to find something to occupy her time with.

She spent many years trapped in a forest with the Moon Goddess and then many years trapped in her own body thanks to the Hamiltons. She was not going to spend years trapped in Vincent’s home doing nothing while waiting for him to return home.

"What trouble can I get into?" Aurora rubbed her hands together as a villain would before setting off their plans. She had always been a mischievous person who enjoyed playing with others. Unfortunately, at this time there weren’t many people left for her to toy with.

"Well, well, well. The rumors are true. My dear sister is back with the werewolf she fell in love with. I think that your standards are low Aurora but I will admit, I enjoy someone as terrifying as Vincent. It’s a shame you turned him into a love-sick puppy," a voice appeared out of nowhere as the living suddenly became dark.

"You can’t get into my head so easily, Chaos. Don’t even attempt it. Hasn’t Artemis told you not to toy with your siblings?" Aurora stood unamused by Chaos, who was also created by the Goddess Artemis, attempting to scare her.

Had she not had her memories back this would probably have scared the heck out of her.

"I can’t help toying with my favorite sibling. I will say I am sad that you did not come to tell me you were back to normal. About time sis. It was foolish how you allowed those witches to trap you in their home. Your emotions have always made you weak. First, falling in love with Vincent and then finding friends with witches. I would hope you learned your lesson but considering you are here I can see you haven’t. You are becoming more like the humans. I hate it."

Aurora expected this from Chaos. There were only two things in this world he cared for. They were Artemis, as she created him, and causing chaos in the world. "Vincent is not human and he has these emotions-"

"His ancestors were humans cursed into being werewolves by Artemis and humans who were bitten. Werewolves might detest humans but should always remember their ties with the humans. They used to mate with them. I am not a fan of all of these creatures and do not care for what happens to them. They are all fun to play with and I will never become like you," Chaos said, circling the room in the dark to get a look at his lost sister.

"I curse you that you fall in love with someone and regret every word you have spoken about emotions. I hope that I get to witness your self-destruct brother," Aurora said much to Chaos’s annoyance. He knew that she had the ability to curse him as well as bless him. It was why she was so valuable.

"I will kill you before such a thing can happen. I miss my sister who would meddle in human lives with me. You were much better before you laid eyes on that man. Oh how much I wished to drive Vincent insane and kill him but Artemis would never forgive me," he sighed, giving back the lanterns their light so that Aurora could see him.

"How nice of you to show yourself rather than hiding away in the dark like you always do brother. It was wonderful of you to visit me but if all you are going to do is criticize me for the choices I made in the past and my current relationship with Vincent, I suggest you leave. I spent many years reflecting on everything that has happened so I don’t need a recap with you," said Aurora.

She was already over this visit.

"Thank you and goodbye," she told him.

Chaos instead of feeling hurt by her pushing him away clapped his hands happy to see that she was showing that cruel side of her. "It warms the hole in my chest to see you be this way. By the way, where is your beloved? Don’t tell me he left you all alone. Is he working or playing with others?"

Aurora picked up one of the decorative stones to throw Chaos for insinuating Vincent was cheating. "Why would he wait so long for me just to turn around and cheat? How does that make any sense in your head? You are supposed to be on the smarter side of our siblings."

"I just say things to upset you. Well, I won’t stay where I am not welcomed-"

"You always stay where you are not welcomed, Chaos. Stop trying to fool me. I have all my memories of the type of being you are. I am now starting to realize that you must have come here to tell me something else. You are not here because you miss me. What do you wish to tell me?" Asked Artemis. Chaos did not have the emotions to be able to miss someone.

"You know me so well, Aurora. You used to be as devious as I am and I am sure you wouldn’t want to miss two big events happening soon. One, is the fall of the human king, Darius Harlow. He is dead but tell no one-"

"He is really dead?" Aurora could not believe her ears.

The human king was the reason Vincent kept his community on lockdown. King Darius, like the kings before him, hunted down creatures who were not human and slaughtered them right where they stood. The king had no heir to take after him and the only sibling was a princess. The king’s death would leave the palace in the hands of the princess.

There was no telling how many creatures might look to attack the humans at this moment because the king was dead. It was then she realized something. Chaos must have something to do with this. How else would he know about the king being dead unless he was in the palace?

"Did you kill him?" She asked as there would no doubt in her mind Chaos would enjoy watching the king die. She would too because they were hunting down people like her, Vincent., and more importantly, Artemis.

"Of course not. I just got in his head a little bit. It was his dear sister who killed him. Do you want to hear something that is also interesting? Artemis has a human living with her in the forest and I am disgusted to say that it appears she is falling for him. Such a thing should never happen. People like us should never fall in love. It ends in tragedy." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

’There is nothing wrong with love, Chaos. I don’t care how my life will end, I will use this time to love Vincent as much as I can. I am happy to hear that Artemis is always finding love instead of holding unto her hatred for humans. Now, please leave before Vincent returns home and sees you," she picked up the sound of a horse in front of Vincent’s home which could be him.

"Ashamed to introduce your brother to your lover? I never took you to be the type. I am a wonderful person once you get to know me and there is nothing about you I can toy with. The one thing about emotions is how I can toy with them and make people like you kill each other. I’ll tell you one last thing, dear sister. There’s a special witch I see worth toying with. I believe you once called her, sister," Chaos grinned before disappearing into thin air.

Aurora clenched her fists out of anger since Chaos was planning to toy with Regina just to mess with her. She wasn’t in the mood for Chaos’s games at a time like this. Whenever he sets his eyes on someone, either they die or the people around them. She had to get into contact with Regina soon.

"Why are you just standing there? Were you waiting for me?" Vincent suddenly asked as he entered the front door. He was expecting her to be asleep by now.
