Chapter 152: Party mess (2)
"Just so you know, I never wanted to do this but you forced me to. If I have to be annoyed today, so do you, Vincent," Victor said as he placed down papers for his upcoming birthday party on Vincent’s desk. "Forcing your brother to throw a party just so your little girlfriend can have fun. You have reached an all-time low brother. Why couldn’t you have thrown an intimate party here?"
"Cause I don’t want people in my home," Vincent sat with his feet crossed on top of his desk, his arms folded and eyes closed.
"So I am forced to have them coming in and out of my home. There is a reason why I chose to live alone. I didn’t want any housemates or visitors. I should just speak to Aurora about this blackmail. She’ll get you to stop this party mess right away," Victor stood up ready to leave to find Aurora.
"Do that and I’ll make sure you are alongside Derek helping to build the new walls," Vincent threatened his brother.
Victor sat right back down because he didn’t want to be anywhere near the new wall and gates when they had to start going up. His brother was a workaholic and a control freak who needed everything done to perfection the first time. There was no way Victor was going to work anywhere with his brother looking over his shoulder. He loved his brother but when it came to doing work he wanted to strangle Vincent sometimes. "I hate you."
"The feeling is mutual little brother. I asked for a dog and they gave me the wrong kind."
Victor pointed his finger at Vincent and said, "That is an insult to our people." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"Not if it is true I really wanted a dog and ended up with you. We are dogs in a way brother, have you not utilized the education provided to you? Hurry along with the planning and get the hell out of my home. I told you I will fund whatever it is you want and to go crazy but make sure the party comes out nice. If it doesn’t, I will still make you work."
"I thought you were kind enough to throw me a party when you approached me but this is all for Aurora and the crazy thing is, it’s my birthday. How can you use my birthday to give someone else a gift? I have not even heard you say once that you’re getting me a gift," Victor was appalled by what Vincent was doing.
"I have your gift covered and all you need to worry about right now is the party which I don’t understand why you came here to annoy with the planning. I am sure all you needed to do was hand these papers over to Cherry alone with the money and she would have done everything for you," said Vincent.
Victor opened his mouth to have a quick comeback to that but he realized he honestly could have given Cherry the responsibility of planning his party. "Why didn’t I think of that earlier," he muttered looking off to the side.
"Some people get to inherit the brains or the looks from their parents and I have taken all two from our parents as the firstborn. How you managed to survive up to this point is beyond me."
"I am much better looking than you Vincent and I am smarter. I have been told so by many of my teachers. Hence why our mother had many of my grades hung up around the house. Where were your grades, Vincent?" Victor bragged pushing his nose in the air feeling proud.
"I had a room specially made for them," Vincent replied.
"Oh right," it dawned on Victor. How could he have forgotten the large room dedicated to his brother? "I hate you," he muttered again. Victor made the mistake of pushing Vincent’s feet off the desk too hard which ended with Vincent falling out of his chair. "Oh shit," he didn’t expect that to happen.
Victor scrambled to stand up from his seat and rushed to the door to unlock it because he knew he was dead when Vincent got up. His hands trembled as he failed to open the door that wasn’t even locked. All he needed to do was twist the doorknob and push the door open but this simple task wasn’t making sense in his brain.
"Victor," he heard a low growl behind him coming from Vincent. A hand on his shoulder made his life flash before him and at least it looked good. Vincent dragged Victor away from the door into a headlock. "Why did you try to run away instead of helping your older brother after you made him fall? That makes you a horrible brother and now I have to punish you for it."
"You were going to punish me anyway which is why I ran. I know you better than anyone else in this world," Victor yelled as he squirmed, trying to get away.
"You’re right," Vincent said, still keeping Victor in the headlock. "What should your punishment be? How about I drop you from this window and see if you land on your feet?"
"I am not a cat, you big bully. Let go of me! Mom said you weren’t allowed to do this to me anymore. Are you going to make her worry about us from the afterlife?"
Vincent squeezed his brother’s head a little after his question. "Trying to guilt-trip me about mother is just going to make things worse for you. How about we drop you from the roof instead?" Vincent started walking towards the door with Victor still in his hands. "You need to train Victor more. I am not holding you with too much of my strength."
"You’re the freaking alpha you brute and- Aurora!" Victor cheered happily to see her standing in front of them when Vincent opened the door. His savior was here. "Thank goodness. Please get this big fool to let go of me. He is torturing me for nothing."
"He made me fall and tried to run away without helping me up," Vincent told her, still not releasing Victor.
"I see," Aurora softly answered looking at the weird predicament the brothers had found themselves in. "Then, I won’t interrupt your fun," she turned to walk away but Victor called out to her.
"Are you serious Aurora? I just asked you to save me. Vincent’s going to throw me from the roof to see if I can land on my feet. I am not a cat Aurora, I am a werewolf."
"Well can you?" Aurora asked, now curious about the outcome.
"Can I do what?" Victor asked looking up to see her as best as he could from where Vincent was holding on to him.
"Can you land on your feet if you fell from the roof? Being a werewolf, shouldn’t the fall be nothing difficult for you?" She further explained her question because two days ago when Vincent had taken her to see the old castle, he jumped from someplace high making her worried but he was pretty fine when she went to him.
Victor’s mouth fell open because Aurora hadn’t saved him and she was here being curious about the fall as if her curiosity wouldn’t make Vincent want to do it even more. "What the hell is wrong with you people? It must be a mistake to allow her to live with you. Just know, if I am dead, you can’t attend my birthday celebration Aurora."
"I have my ways in which she could," Vincent smirked, enjoying his little game of teasing Victor.
Aurora covered her mouth with her hand as she chuckled. "I am only kidding Victor. Vincent, you shouldn’t tease your brother about dropping him from the roof."
"He wasn’t teasing me!"
"I wasn’t teasing him!"
Vincent and Victor both informed her.
Vincent released Victor now that the fun is over. "Next time, you won’t push my feet off the desk, right?"
"Of course! I never want to be so close to smelling your armpit again. That was a punishment itself," Victor said, straightening out himself now that he was free. "Did you come to get something from either of us, Aurora? Specifically me and not him?"
"Oh, Mari just reminded me about your party and I came to see how the party planning is going. How old will you-"
Victor placed a finger on Aurora’s lips to shush her but it was smacked away by Vincent in a flash. "You never ask someone their age, Aurora. Well, I mean there are situations where you should but you get what I mean. Let’s just say I am old and do not like hearing the number."
"I understand. I can’t wait to attend the party," said Aurora.
"Yes, and it’s thanks to your excitement that I am being forced into this but anything for an old friend right? Make sure the two of you shower me with gifts for everything I had to endure here today. I am going to stop coming over here," Victor grumbled, going back into Vincent’s room to get the paper’s so that he could hand them over to Cherry later.
