Chapter 77: Chapter 77 Power Moves and Game Changers

Author

Alpha Dominic sat in his office like a storm about to break, ice-cold fury burning in his dark eyes as he stared at his silent phone.

It had been half a day since everything went to hell, and his phone hadn’t buzzed once. Not a single text from her.

When Elara was in trouble - real, career-destroying trouble - he wasn’t even on her contact list.

His jaw clenched so hard it ached. Was he really that useless to her? Did their bond mean nothing?

His assistant, practically trembling as he felt the deadly Alpha energy rolling off his boss in waves, approached the desk like he was walking through a minefield. "Alpha , Alpha Enzo wants to schedule a meeting with you."

Dominic’s voice came out like a blade through ice. "Hell no. Tell him to teach his spoiled brat some manners before he even thinks about talking to me."

--

Alpha Enzo’s hand shook as he held his phone, his face going white.

Since 9 AM that morning, their company stock had been crashing hard, dropping like a rock with no signs of stopping.

Alpha Enzo had found out through his business connections that Alpha Dominic was behind the attack, but he couldn’t figure out what had set him off.

Only after hearing Dominic’s assistant’s brutal message did he finally check social media and see Elara’s name trending for all the wrong reasons, getting absolutely destroyed in the comments.

His stomach dropped, and he immediately called his daughter.

"Selina, kill that trending hashtag about Elara right now!" he ordered.

Selina was pissed. "Dad, why should I? Do you have any idea how much Elara has been screwing with me?"

She was especially angry about Alpha Enzo’s recent behavior. Her dad kept protecting Elara, making Selina wonder who his real daughter actually was!

"Dad, I’m not taking down anything! If Elara’s so tough, let her deal with it herself!"

Alpha Enzo’s head was pounding, and then Alpha Zack called him.

"Uncle Enzo, don’t stress. Nobody’s going to mess with Selina while I’m here to protect her."

Alpha Enzo forced a fake smile into his voice. "Zack, remember that Elara is still her mother’s daughter. Maybe we should cut her some slack, you know?"

Alpha Zack’s voice turned ice cold. "Not happening."

[Elara needs to face the consequences of her actions. If she’d just apologized like a normal person, I wouldn’t be this pissed off.]

[This isn’t just about defending Selina. This is personal.]

[I want to see how long Elara’s mystery sugar daddy will keep protecting her. When she realizes only I can truly save her, she’ll regret everything and come crawling back to me!]

[Right now she’s acting all tough and untouchable, but I’m going to crush every bit of that stubborn attitude with my own hands!]

--

Elara had stopped caring about the online hate mob. She was completely focused on the video someone had just handed over.

"I smoke, but I didn’t want my boyfriend catching me, so I snuck into the stairwell for a quick cigarette," the woman explained with a grin. "That’s when I saw this weirdo. Who the hell plays dress-up in an emergency stairwell? I whipped out my phone and secretly filmed it. Manager, do I get some kind of reward for this video?"

Elara stared her down. "Ma’am, we need to check this footage thoroughly. If you can give us a copy, I promise on behalf of Park Hotel Group that if the video is real and unedited, we’ll pay you properly for helping us out."

"Sounds fair! I like doing business with straight shooters. Here’s my number so you can contact me later."

"Haha, the video’s totally legit. Who would bother setting up some random creep for no reason?"

Elara and the duty manager smiled politely as they walked the guest out.

The duty manager could barely control his excitement. "Elara, this is the smoking gun, right? Why don’t we post it online right now and shut up all those keyboard warriors?"

She gave him a small smile. "No rush. Let’s take it to the police station first. We shouldn’t fight this battle on social media. Let’s trust the legal system to do its job."

As for dealing with Selina, that could wait.

The duty manager nodded eagerly. "You’re absolutely right, Elara. Let’s go to the cops!"
