Chapter 76: Chapter 76 The Storm Breaks
Elara
Sometimes I seriously wondered how I’d ever found this idiot attractive. An Alpha getting played this easily by some crocodile tears.
"Alpha Zack," I said, not even trying to hide my annoyance anymore, "are you actually suggesting I trashed that violin just to mess with your precious fiancée?"
Zack raised an eyebrow. "What else would it be?"
"Ha," I laughed, the sound sharp enough to cut glass. "You think way too highly of yourself."
"Do you honestly believe you’re worth that much time and energy?"
I kept going with a dismissive snort. "This whole thing is in the cops’ hands now. They haven’t blamed anyone yet. Why the hell should I apologize?"
Zack’s eyes went cold. "You sure about that attitude?"
"You really want to go up against me?" His Alpha power leaked out, trying to make me back down.
The duty manager and front desk staff looked like they wanted to disappear. They were probably thinking this was some messy love triangle drama.
I was done dealing with this moron. I looked at the quiet woman next to him.
"Selina," I said, my voice ice cold, "you and I both know exactly what happened here."
"I’m not apologizing to you. I won’t say sorry for something I didn’t do!"
Zack let out this bitter laugh. "Fine. Since Elara wants to be so stubborn, I hope you don’t come crying when karma hits you back!"
I watched them storm out, feeling the duty manager practically shaking next to me.
"Elara," he whispered, looking scared, "is this gonna be a problem? That guy looked like he runs Blackwood Industries..."
I kept my voice calm and steady. "Don’t worry about it. They can’t make lies into truth. This is obviously just them trying to bully me through the hotel. Sorry you guys got dragged into this mess."
The manager shook his head hard. "No way, Elara. If we’d been more careful with security, they wouldn’t have found a way to screw us over."
"Manager!" A staff member ran over, looking excited. "A guest just told me they caught something on camera the day this all went down!"
The manager and I looked at each other with hope.
"Let’s go check it out!" I said.

Alpha Zack’s revenge hit fast and hard.
Multiple Twitter accounts picked up clips from Selina’s concert speech and went crazy analyzing every word, tracing the whole drama back to Park Hotel Group. Since Jack had completely vanished during this mess, all fingers were pointing at Elara.
A selfie Elara had posted from a yacht trip weeks ago was now trending nationwide, getting absolutely destroyed in the comments.
"Some people look sweet but are total psychos! Never staying at this sketchy hotel again!"
"Cancel Park Hotel Group! Shut them down!"
"Everyone needs to report them to the IRS! Let’s get their books audited! Don’t let these scumbags get away with this!"
"OMG Selina just posted! We need to support our girl!"
Selina was basically an influencer at this point, always posting lifestyle content and cute selfies. She had hundreds of thousands of followers who worshipped everything about her.
That day she posted: "I believe someday the truth will come out and justice will win. Sending love to myself, trying to stay positive."
The message was crystal clear, and her army of fans immediately went into attack mode.
The photo showed Selina looking out a window with perfect tears sparkling in her eyes. It was obviously staged, but her followers ate it up and were ready for war.
"How DARE they mess with our angel! Do they think she’s some pushover?"
"Keep reporting Park Hotel Group until they’re done!"
Elara couldn’t even check her DMs anymore.
The 99+ notifications were all hate mail. Some idiots had photoshopped her face onto gravestones, others sent novels worth of nasty threats.
She switched off her phone, but it immediately started ringing with a call from Mark.
"Elara, how bad is it over there? Things are falling apart here. Multiple clients are trying to bail on their contracts and demanding we pay them for breaking deals!"
Elara’s eyes flashed with dangerous light. She said coldly into the phone
"Don’t freak out. Just try to keep everyone calm. Give me one more day to fix this."
"Okay. Elara, stay off social media right now. It’ll just make you feel worse."
