Chapter 77: Chapter 77
He couldn’t possibly share a tent with Alois for three nights! The Alpha had criminal tendencies, he wouldn’t survive it.
But he had to stick up to his position as the captain and take the fall, as terrifying as that sounded.
"Why do I have to let you sleep over with me for the rest of the field trip?" He complained, glaring at Alois who was far too giddy for comfort.
"I get to sleep over with you for the rest of the trip?" Alois mimicked, sparks flying out of his dark green eyes.
Cecil froze, realizing his blunder. "W-Wait..."
"But you’re roommates, it shouldn’t be too hard!" Leeson called from the entrance to his own tent, he had just returned from washing the soot off him with Perry in tow.
"I don’t mind Alois sharing my tent..." Perry started to offer but Leeson just pushed him inside his tent.
"He kicks, you don’t want any of that. Goodnight boss." He waved at Cecil, entering his own tent.
"It’s decided then." Alois gave him a tilted grin, hauling his backpack into Cecil’s tent like it was his.
Cecil just stood outside his own tent, dreading the night to come. Sleeping outside wasn’t entirely horrible, was it? He could just gather some leaves to soften the hard cold ground, and sleep under the beautiful, cold night sky with bugs and reptiles crawling all over.
That was enough to propel him forward to his tent, only for him to get in and find a shirtless Alois trying to take off his pants as well.
Cecil paled and grew red in the next moment. "I hope you’re not intending to sleep in the nude while sharing my sleeping bag?" He blurted out.
Alois’ eyes widened, "I get to share your sleeping bag?" He repeated, pulling his pants back up to quickly dive into the sleeping bag before Cecil could change his mind.
Cecil just knelt in the space in front of the tent’s entrance, a few deep breaths away from pulling out his hair. Why was he always so quick to put his foot in his mouth? If he had shut up a little more, all he would have gotten would be Alois sharing his tent for a night while sleeping on the ground.
"Aren’t you going to sleep?" Alois’ asked with a furrowed brow, looking very comfortable.
Cecil rose to his feet with clenched fists, irritated by Alois playing dumb after ruining his night and the rest of the nights that would be spent on this trip. "Scoot over." He grumbled, reluctantly getting in the sleeping back with Alois.
It was a little snug... scratch that, it bordered on uncomfortable unless they were tangled up with each other.
"Why are you so hot?" Cecil complained after a few minutes of tense silence, his face pressed up against Alois’ bare chest.
"It’s cooler if you take your shirt off." Alois immediately suggested, an evil light going off his in eyes.
Cecil immediately wrapped his arms around himself with a scandalized expression. "I’m not doing that." He shut down quickly, uncaring that his current position jabbed his elbows into Alois’ side.
Alois’ low chuckle filled the cozy tent. "Fine, then get some sleep."
Cecil still shot him suspicious looks but he eventually dropped his hands, getting drowsy far too quickly for someone who claimed to be uncomfortable.
Alois watched him with a fond smile as his guard dropped the more sleepy he got. He knew that his tent hadn’t been set on fire by accident but there was a positive side to it.
If he still had his tent, he could have bothered Cecil for as long as he wanted but would have eventually gotten kicked out when the Alpha wanted to sleep. It was like winning the lottery.
Alois would still get back at whoever did it and he already had a pretty good idea of who the culprits were... But as Cecil threw an arm around his neck and snuggled even closer to Alois, he couldn’t help but make a mental note to thank the arsonists while stomping their backs in. freёwebnovel.com

Valentin was the one who made the call for them to head to bed, sick of the endless tales of horror stories Errol had to tell.
He held tightly to Audie’s arm. "Let me crash with you, Audie, for old times’ sake." He pleaded.
Audie wasn’t having it, "I’ll personally feed you to the monsters myself if you throw up in my sleeping bag." He threatened, trying to shake him off.
"So is that a yes?" Valentin tried.
"It’s a no, sleep in your own tent." Audie refused.
Cedric and Jann retired to their tents calmly, saying their goodnights with a yawn, well until Cedric kept walking past his tent and Jann had to go after him.
"He sleepwalks," Jann said apologetically to Louis’ concerned look.
Although, Valentin was the self-acclaimed leader, the duties of the leader fell to Louis naturally. freewebnσvel.cøm
"Tie him down then, we don’t want to wake up to him missing tomorrow." Louis was quick to say, sticking to Henri’s side.
"You don’t possibly plan to sleep in my tent, do you?" Henri asked in disbelief.
Louis was unshaken, "I’ll bring my own sleeping bag."
"No." Henri said curtly, continuing on to his tent.
"But..."
"Don’t follow me." He added, getting into his tent. "Goodnight." He gritted out, zipping up his tent a little aggressively.
Dio had been standing on the fringes of their conversation and as soon as Henri got into his tent, he walked up to Louis.
"Dio will sleep with Lou." He said, a serious expression on his face.
Louis sighed, maybe he was pushing too hard. "I’m not scared of sleeping alone, Dio, thanks for the offer." He said in a softer voice, patting his friend on his shoulder. "Goodnight, Dio." He added, slipping into his tent.
Dio remained outside Louis’ tent, a lost expression on his face. He wanted to sleep with Louis because it was always nicer to sleep with Louis. But he shouldn’t cause any trouble for Louis, so he turned and walked to his tent which was the one right next to Louis, and quietly got in.
