Chapter 60: Chapter 60
"Silence." Sir Hoskins called snobbishly as he strode into his classroom.
All he got in response was audible groans and boos, his class still having no respect for him even after a full month of classes.
"Quiet, please." Louis said wearily, long over his classmates’ shenanigans.
The class immediately quietened when Louis said it.
Hoskins’ eyes reddened, veins popping on his face but there was little he could do about it.
"Seeing as this is your first year at the academy, you may not be aware that the school organizes trips to facilitate learning amongst its students..." He announced, glaring at his rebellious class.
He had come to find that the Prince was the least of his problems because Prince Henri was mostly quiet and did his work diligently. The rest of the class, however, were monsters, it made Hoskins regret his decision to take this class every single day.
"Louis, did you know about this?" A student from the back called, interrupting the class professor.
Louis sighed, he had expected this; for some reason the class didn’t even want to get their information from Sir Hoskins, they’d rather he told them instead.
"No, I don’t." He said truthfully, earning Sir Hoskins more boos but thankfully, they went silent afterward to listen to what he had to say.
Hoskins cleared his throat and adjusted his cravat, sneering at his students. "There’ll be a field trip in two weeks, I hope a good number of you go missing."
Louis watched him leave angrily and sighed some more, they hadn’t been given enough information about the upcoming event, which meant that Louis would have to do his findings.
He got to his feet and perched on his desk, his arms crossed in disapproval. At this rate, all of his tawny hair would go gray and start falling out.
"What did I say about antagonizing Sir Hoskins?" freēwēbnovel.com
"You heard him wish us death just now!"
Louis had no counter to this so he just straightened up. "I’ll go find out more on this, no fooling around." He cautioned, walking out. freewebnøvel.com
Louis had no doubt that his class would sit still till he returned, although it was something that amazed him every time, how much they were willing to listen to him.
There was a monthly meeting of the Student Council and the class representatives of various classes and they just had the first one a week ago. They were encouraged to come whenever they needed help and that was exactly what Louis planned to do.
The members of the council were exempt from morning introductory sessions (homeroom if you will) so he was able to find them in their club room.
He returned with time to spare before their first class of the day because he still needed to take attendance, as his class wouldn’t let their class professor do it.
Everyone was present so taking attendance was easy and since he knew everyone by name, there was no need for a roll call.
"There’s a patch of forest behind the school, we’ll be going there in two weeks." He explained to the class after taking attendance.
"What are we doing there?"
Louis was perched up on the teacher’s table, dressed in both his waistcoat and his overcoat, he looked like a model student. "It’s supposed to hone our survival skills so we’ll be camping." He explained in simple terms.
Excited conversation started up in the class, it was a welcome break from the monotonous school work they had had to deal with.
"How long is it going to be though?" Jann asked.
"It would suck if we only spend the weekend there." Others started to murmur.
"If that’s the case, I hope it’s optional..."
"No, no, it’ll be during the week, starting on a Monday I believe. It’ll go on for four days and then we get an early weekend break to rest up from the trip."
Cheering started at this, only stopping when the professor taking their first subject of the day walked in.

Henri stayed back in class to finish up the work that had been given to him, he was a teacher’s favorite from how quickly he caught on to new concepts so they tended to go a bit overboard with giving him assignments.
He had asked Louis and Dio to go ahead to the cafeteria, planning on joining them after he finished up.
The gilded classroom was empty, as well as the other classes next to it which meant that he got to work in silence.
It wasn’t surprising that the academy would organize events for the students, seeing as they would be spending almost a full year within the walls of the school. It was only right.
Henri wasn’t looking forward to the camping trip however, all he could see ahead of him was four days filled with strenuous activities. At least, at the academy, everything was more or less provided for the students and there were workers who did the laundry and the cleaning. There would be none of that in the forest.
Henri couldn’t understand how his classmates were so elated about the prospect of spending four nights in uncomfortable bedding out in the wild. And don’t even get him started on hygiene.
Well, granted, they would be divided into groups of ten and spread out so there was some semblance of privacy.
Henri almost didn’t want to go to the cafeteria because he was certain that Audie and Vale would make such a fuss about it that his meal wouldn’t go down well but he had to eat so he packed up his books, planning on stopping by his locker before heading to the cafeteria.
After spending a month at the academy, he had gotten accustomed to it, falling into familiar routines of school work, meal times, and club activities.
He dropped off his books at his locker and turned around to find someone behind him. What was it about his locker that seemed to attract unwanted people? Maybe it was cursed and he should have it changed.
Henri held his breath as he looked up at the Alpha in front of him, with how busy schoolwork and everything else kept him, he had genuinely forgotten about the sketchy deal he made with a sketchy person.
Also, Henri couldn’t remember the last time he had run into him so it was easy to forget; out of mind out of sight.
"Seton." He said coldly.
"Your Highness."
