Chapter 200: Chapter 200

Valentin leaned his weight against the wall, still trying to recover from a series of shocking events. When he turned around and saw Alexander, he immediately picked up the pace, having no intention of giving his roommate a chance to keep walking with him.

That had resulted in being chased down and ambushed in the alley between dorm buildings, but even all that wasn’t as startling as being stumbled on by an Omega.

Alexander had stepped away and gone after her, and Valentin should probably use this chance to make his escape, but he could hardly move. He was less concerned about the fact that he had been kissing an Alpha and more about who it was, he didn’t want to imagine what would happen if it got out, which it would because of the number of admirers Alexander had.

Would they jump him? He would rather not have to fight off a bevy of murderous girls over a kiss that was not his doing. A few moments later, the muffled voices that he had heard went silent, prompting him to check up on just what Alexander was doing.

He stood rooted to the spot when he did, looking from Alexander who had a pleased expression on his face to the Omega who was out cold on the ground. "You killed her?!" He demanded in horror.

"Unfortunately, that’s not legal," Alexander said casually, nudging her with the tip of his boot to make sure she wasn’t getting up.

Valentin was getting more horrified by the passing minute, "What??"

"Want to continue our tour?" Alexander just brushed the entire conversation to the side.

Valentin took a step back, "Our? What do you mean by that? Besides, you don’t intend to leave her like this?! We have to make sure she is okay."

Alexander followed after him, "If we stay any longer and she rouses, I’ll have to knock her out again."

Valentin was starting to consider the possibility that Alexander was truly dangerous like he had always thought. "Why would you want to do that?" Sure, she caught them sharing a kiss but that wasn’t enough reason to make her unconscious.

"I don’t like the sound of her voice," He bluntly said, taking his wrist and pulling him along.

Valentin snuck one last look at the poor Omega curled up on the grassy ground before walking after Alexander, "That’s not enough reason to hit a girl though," He grumbled, still troubled about the entire matter, but he didn’t want to be present when she roused and have to deal with whatever messy situation would arise.

Alexander didn’t reply, Valentin didn’t need to know why he knocked her out, frankly, he hadn’t expected the other to return. He had been expecting to have to chase him down when he tried to make a run for it again.

He didn’t spare the Omega a look, of course, it had to be a social climbing shrew that would stumble upon them. He wouldn’t be surprised if she had been silently trailing him the entire time, he should have been more cautious of that. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

He had just been planning to give her a little scare but then she had the nerve to try to blackmail him, it was ridiculous because he didn’t care about rumors regardless of who they were with but the fact that Valentin would take the brunt of it had infuriated him.

He didn’t bother bargaining with her, she wasn’t the type to see reason, especially when she noticed that he was concerned about the threat of blackmail; now he wished he had knocked her out harder.

He glanced at Valentin who had a furrow between his brows, of course, he would still be worried about a person that had wanted to ruin his life.

They had gotten to the class buildings by now, and if the dorm buildings were devoid of people, the class buildings were even more so, there wasn’t a single person in sight.

Alexander pulled Valentin closer with one hand and turned so he could hold his waist, and pull him even closer.

Valentin made a sound of surprise, he had barely been paying attention to where they were going, distracted after the interruption they just had. So he was caught off guard when Alexander maneuvered them so that he was up against him.

His first thought was to panic, "What if someone sees?"

Alexander’s response was an aggravating smirk, "Is that all you’re worried about?"

Valentin really wanted to kick him then, what was with the annoying Alpha Prince and stealing kisses in public spaces anyway?

They returned to the Sports Complex in an hour’s time to watch Nael compete, Jacques and Audie were apparently in one of the changing rooms drying off.

The winner of the swimming competition was decided from the start or so everyone thought, halfway through the race, Nael slowed down out of nowhere, much to the confusion of the members of his team and club.

A third-year won instead while Nael came in fourth, he languidly made his way to the edge and broke through the surface of the water. Naturally, everyone crowded around the winner, and in the excited chaos that followed, he snuck into the changing rooms, got dressed, and slipped away.

Jacques and Audie came out at this point, "Did we miss the whole thing?" Audie asked desperately, his shirt buttons done up wrong.

Valentin found his voice then, "Yes but Nael didn’t win," He said slowly like he was just processing what had happened instead.

Audie stopped shoving away Jacques who was trying to help him button up his dress shirt right, "What do you mean?" He frowned, whipping his head from side to side. "Where’s he?"

"Gone," Valentin said helplessly, he hadn’t even spared him and Alexander a look.

Audie fell silent, the gears in his head visibly going around, then he suddenly exploded. "That conniving little twit!"

Valentin still looked to be the only confused one, "We’ve got to find him, what if he had gotten injured while swimming?"

"If you’re looking for him, he’s probably already at Errol’s side but you don’t have to be worried about him being hur- stop fiddling with my shirt!" He snapped, finally having enough of Jacques being so handsy.

He walked over to Valentin and threw an arm around his shoulder, "Nael made himself lose so that he wouldn’t be delayed by the celebrations, now let’s go back to the outdoor kitchen, I’m hungry."

Audie didn’t need any input from Valentin to start dragging him off in the direction that he wanted to go. Behind them, Jacques and Alexander walked side by side, shooting each other knowing looks.

Over at the outdoor kitchen, Henri and Claude had already made their way over there and were currently seated in the guest section, Louis sneaking away every chance he got, to have a conversation with Henri.

Dodie and Claude had surprisingly gotten along quite well, she had been pleased to hear about what he had done during the race, wishing she had been there to see it herself.

Fleur and Jolie seemed to be the only ones getting any work done, they were long done with the chocolate chip cookies and while it was baking in the over, Fleur had eventually worn down Jolie’s reservations about her cooking, and the filling for pot pie was currently steaming on the stove.

Jolie had watched her like a hawk while she made it though, careful so that she didn’t make far too much. The other members of the club had also been hard at work, with some groups choosing to make drinks instead of baking.

It was just filled with a handful of students having the time of their lives doing what they love to do so naturally, there were disasters, mostly by one person. Jolie had to put Cedric in timeout several times, resulting in the Alpha becoming a spectator although he was a part of the club. freēwēbnovel.com

Pleasantly, they had gotten quite a number of spectators from both colleges who were willing to watch them at work, and it would seem that both clubs would be getting new members as well.

"I’ll check the cookies," Fleur happily offered, putting on oven mitts.

Jolie was busy with the dough for the pies, calling Louis over to help her so she agreed, after making sure that Fleur wasn’t trying to pick up a scalding hot metal tray with her bare hands.

Fleur took out a single tray of cookies, choosing Dodie’s tray which had spread out into formless blobs, some sticking together. She placed it on the counter and waited for it to cool before taking a bite.

Her next step was to call Dodie over to try it as well, her eyes sparkling when Dodie hurried over. She had taken off an oven mitt to pick up a cookie easier, and without a hand to hold the cookie she had been in the middle of eating, she held it between her teeth so that she could pick up another cookie for Dodie.

She didn’t expect Dodie to ignore the cookie offered to her and instead beelined for the half-eaten cookie held between her lips. Fleur went wide-eyed with shock when that happened, somehow managing to keep holding onto the cookie in her hand.

"It’s so nice!" She beamed, reaching for more. "Henri! Claude! You’ve got to try this! I made it myself!"

Louis thought that she was exaggerating a little bit but he didn’t stop her, looking at Fleur to find her reaching for another tray with just a single mitten protecting one of her hands, a dazed expression on her face.

Before he could react, Jolie dashed past him and tackled the slender Omega to the ground, "That’s it, you’re on timeout with Cedric."
