Chapter 148: Chapter 148
Dio frowned when there was no response, was Henri not in?
Alois immediately picked up on this and tried the door, sharing a look with Dio when it opened, a matching frown on his face. His frown morphed into a horrified expression as he took the scene in front of him, marching forward.
Dio stopped him with a firm hand on his collar, "Look closely, it’s Henri that has a death grip on my boyfriend." He said lowly.
Alois shot him a look of disbelief, "I’m not fucking worried about that," He muttered, slapping Dio’s hand away. "Have you ever seen Henri willingly hug anyone?"
It was Dio’s turn to look concerned, "Do you think he’s sick?"
They quietly moved closer to the bed, just hovering and trying to decipher what they were looking at.
"Or drunk?" Alois frowned, trying to remember a time he could remember the Prince being drunk and coming up with a blank. It was either he avoided alcohol or had a really high tolerance.
Dio wasn’t wrong, other than the worrisome part of Henri sharing a bed with someone else, the Omega was also wrapped around Louis like he was a body pillow. If they weren’t so concerned they’d find it cute.
"Or it’s some kind of punishment?" Dio suggested, still looking for a way to explain it.
"They’re both fast asleep though..." frёewebηovel.cѳm
"I don’t know, Lou might be dead already, there’s no way he’s breathing in that position," Dio said, making no move to save his boyfriend.
It was clear that Henri had done it unconsciously, who knew that the cold and distant Omega Prince was a cuddler.
Henri moved a bit, making both Dio and Alois freeze up in horror. They didn’t need to be told that Henri wouldn’t be pleased to find them in his dorm room when he was in such a vulnerable position.
Identical sighs filled the room after Henri went right back to sleep, both Alphas quickly making their way out to congregate in front of the door again.
"We should leave them to sleep." Dio decided without hesitation, already hot-footing it away from Henri’s dorm.
Absolutely - What Alois wanted to tell Henri could wait, after all, it wasn’t exactly an update to begin with. He had been keeping an eye on Prince Alexander as Henri asked him to and it was a bit too soon to draw conclusions but he hadn’t seen him do anything suspicious - that was the troublesome part.

Henri woke up before Louis, scrambling backward when he realized that he had his arms and legs wrapped around Louis’ upper body. When had he even fallen asleep? He couldn’t remember. One moment he was worrying about the do’s and don’ts of sharing a bed and the next he was waking up to find himself holding down Louis in a death grip.
Good thing his friend was a deep sleeper because it would be embarrassing to have to explain his way out of them. A quick glance at the window showed that the sun was going down, they had slept for a really long time.
Louis woke up shortly after and then sleepily stumbled up the stairs to his room. It was about time for dinner so Henri went with him, not about to wait for the two blights on his college experience to come find him.
To Henri’s surprise, he didn’t see them at all, not even at the dining hall. It made him wonder if he had managed to get rid of them for good.
Dinner included everyone and it seemed like the others had a lot to say, especially Audie but when did Audie ever have nothing to say.
"... we found this secret passageway in our class building, you three should really come check it out."
Henri immediately thought of the cold drafty passageways that were common in the castle, "No, thank you." He turned it down without hesitation.
"I don’t do well in underground spaces, I’m a bit claustrophobic." Louis said regrettably like he would have liked to go otherwise.
Henri flinched slightly at this, feeling eyes on him, only to turn in Dio’s direction and find the Alpha looking away steadfastly.
Audie just waved off their responses like he expected them, "We explored it today, it was really fun-"
"Yeah, until you ran off." Valentin grumbled from where he was sprawled on the table.
As a matter of fact, only Audie seemed to have recovered just fine - and also Jacques who didn’t drink much to begin with - but Nael and Valentin were far from recovered.
Nael was sleepily leaning on Errol’s should and holding on tightly to his arm while Valentin keep squinting, the lights too bright for him. So he tried to shield them by resting his head on his arms on the table.
"I said I was sorry!" Audie shot back, it was clearly an old argument.
"The entrance to the secret passageway is a false locker and it leads to an opening behind Marble park." Jacques finished off Audie’s story for him to the expectant audience.
Audie turned to him, "Hey! I wanted to tell them that!" He rounded on Jacques.
"You look like you needed help." The Alpha said quietly, taking a drink of water.
"I did not!-"
"Shh... you’re too loud." Valentin mumbled miserably.
"They explored the passageway drunk," Errol offered helpfully at their confused expressions, patting Nael’s hair.
"I bet it was Audie’s idea," Henri said, amusement in his voice.
Audie looked smug but it was only briefly, "Wait, that wasn’t a compliment." He realized, "Besides, it was Nael’s idea to drink." He foisted the blame on the other, jabbing a thumb in his direction. "Right, Nael? NAEL? Nael?... Errol." He said when his sleepy friend wouldn’t answer him.
"Why are you calling my nam-" Errol started to ask, a confused frown on his face. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Nael jumped up at this, his eyes narrowing. "What?"
"I said... it was your idea to drink, righ-"
"Shh..." Valentine interrupted him, placing both of his hands around his ears.
"And that’s what I’ve been dealing with all day." Errol shot the quietly watching three a strained smile. "That reminds me, how did the opening competitions go, Henri?" He asked politely, making small talk.
Henri would much rather watch his friends bicker but he answered nonetheless. "It went fine, I didn’t stay for the entire event."
