Chapter 113: Chapter 113
Louis couldn’t tell if Dio was pulling a prank on him or not but it was so out of character for him to say something like that that he was more inclined to believe it.
’Was that why he hadn’t seen Tristan for a while now?’
"Did you get in trouble?" He asked in a much calmer voice when Dio just stared at him with a straight face.
"I didn’t."
"Did you get hurt?" He asked again, realizing that he had already asked all the wrong questions from the start, he might as well get it all out.
Dio had a small smile on his face, "I didn’t."
"Are you angry I didn’t tell you about it?" Louis asked once more, not sure he wanted an answer to this question.
Dio looked thoughtful, "You told me eventually so no, I’m not."
"Oh," Louis mumbled, it was far easier than he thought to talk to Dio, it was cathartic even.
"Get dressed or you’re going to catch a cold." Dio parroted.
Louis scoffed, getting to his feet to change. "You’re one to talk."
"These silk ties make my hands numb, help me Lou."
Louis pulled on a cotton nightshirt with matching pants, shaking his head at Dio’s petulance. He was starting to adjust to how quickly Dio could flip on him. He was starting to learn that he didn’t have to give all the time, he didn’t have to be the one doing all the helping.
Because only people who cared about you would help you.
"Fine." He agreed to help, getting on their joined beds. "Will you help me try a new recipe tomorrow?" He asked in turn, doing up Dio’s buttons.
"Sure."

"It’s cold." Cecil muttered, marching over to Alois’ wardrobe to swipe one of his shirts. He really didn’t need an excuse because he always wore them to sleep but he said it anyway because Alois just sitting on his bed staring at him made him fidgety.
He hardly pulled the shirt on when Alois snagged him by the waist and pulled him down on his bed. This was how it went every night, Alois snatching Cecil up and placing him on his bed.
It didn’t matter if Cecil was already settled in bed before Alois came in, he would just pick him right up and drop him off in his own bed.
Cecil puffed out his cheeks, he was squashed against Alois on the almost too small bed. It was comfortable for a single person but with the two of them, it required some maneuvering. frёewebnoѵēl.com
It didn’t help that Alois had to be touching every inch of Cecil’s body at all times.
"We could just join the beds together." Cecil pointed out for what had to be the umpteenth time.
"I know." Alois said, his voice muffled against Cecil’s neck. His arms and legs were wrapped around Cecil like he expected his boyfriend to try to run away in the night.
"I like it this way." He shamelessly admitted, wiggling slightly to get comfortable.
It was adorable until Cecil had to get up for any reason like say to use the bathroom. He had quickly learnt from the first couple times that to do that he had to wake Alois first before attempting to leave the bed.
The first time Cecil tried to pry Alois off him to get out of the bed, Alois had instinctively snatched him back so hard, his arms wrapped possessively around his middle like he was about to do the hiemlich maneuver on him.
He could only get free after rousing Alois and asking him to let go. To which Alois would then proceed to sleepily trail him around the room and even into the bathroom, it was like having a puppy with separation anxiety.
Fortunately, he kept his hands to himself when they were in public. Leeson and Perry didn’t count, the latter getting beet red every time Alois pulled his antics around them.
Cecil wasn’t used to being tightly held to sleep, maybe his mother or a maternal figure that had helped him survive infancy held him like this but it was a memory long lost. Although he was really young when his father adopted him, he was brought up by a wetnurse who went about her job clinically.
He was dressed in just Alois’ nightshirt, and although they weren’t covered by sheets even as it rained outside, he wasn’t cold. Alois did all the work of keeping him heated up.
He might seem reluctant each time but he was becoming too used to sleeping with Alois pressed up against him, as he tried to match his breathing with his silently sleeping boyfriend.
So much so that he laid awake more often now if Alois’ stayed out a little late. He still pretended to be asleep though and grumbled as Alois moved him, only to hold the taller Alpha just as tightly as he held him.
Cecil wasn’t really sleepy, maybe he would stay awake for a little while and listen to the falling rain while Alois’s heartbeat synced up with his.
Unconsciously, he matched his breathing to Alois, wondering how the Alpha always dropped unconscious as soon as they were both settled in bed. His breathing turned slow and deep, his last thoughts were of Alois’ breath being ticklish against the side of his neck.
Alois slowly lifted his head when he was certain that Cecil had fallen deeply asleep, a thoughtful look on his face as he pushed his boyfriend’s dark hair out of his eyes.
He wondered if Cecil would prefer it if the beds were joined together, he would still have his boyfriend in a chokehold but this time there would be more space to move around - with Cecil in his arms.
Alois found that acceptable, he could deal with that. He pushed a hand through his blond hair with a relaxed sigh, he had stopped dyeing his hair. Maybe it was a way of showing his boyfriend support, he wasn’t quite sure.
When he got out of bed to push the beds together, Cecil didn’t rouse once. He got back in the now spacious bed, his heart slowing down when Cecil rolled right into his arms, a soft smile on his face.
The rain had slowed down to a slight drizzle, beating a soft steady staccato against the roof.
