Chapter 105: Chapter 105

**A/N: i feel like i should put some trigger warnings for the upcoming Chapters. the work is already rated 18 and i’m not sure what triggers certain readers so i’ll just mention that you read with caution. it’s really not so bad, i don’t know why i’m making such a fuss haha**

Errol had never been particularly close to any of Seton’s friends but he had always been under the suspicion that they knew that he was with Seton. They stayed away from him too, maybe it was because of Seton, Errol didn’t particularly care, he wished they would stay away still.

"You look lonely, let me keep you company." Hunt said, holding two glasses of drinks.

"I’m not," Errol said coldly, searching frantically for Nael.

He didn’t want to be in a limited space with anyone associated with Seton. He would leave if he could but he knew that there was no budging the muscular Alpha unless he decided to move.

Hunt didn’t look like he meant any harm, the Alpha partially rising. "Ah, my bad." He apologized. "Here’s a drink as an apology." He slid one of the drinks in his hand across the table to Errol.

Errol wanted to turn him down because Nael was already getting him a drink but also because he had no intention of drinking anything the Alpha offered him. But instinct made him smile instead, he didn’t want to offend Hunt

"Thank you." He said politely, his smile strained. He made no move to pick up the drink, waiting nervously for the Alpha to leave.

Hunt looked disappointed, "Not going to take it?" He prodded, sitting down again.

Errol panicked and reached for the glass, he had been hopeful that the Alpha would leave after offering him the drink so his nerves shot up again when he sat down once more.

He brought the glass to his face, intending to pretend to take a sip to make Hunt leave. His hand trembled when the scent of alcohol hit him, getting a cold sinking feeling in his middle.

The cruel glint in Hunt’s eyes cemented his fears. He slowly placed the glass on the table again without taking a sip for fear that it would spill all over him.

"No, leave." He said icily, rage filling his veins.

Hunt let out a monosyllabic laugh, reaching out to take the glass and draining it in a single go. "Huh, it worked when Seton did it."

Pain and rage spilled out of Errol’s icy eyes. "I don’t care," He bit out. "Leave, Hunt."

"You don’t even look bothered that he was dismissed, I even see that you’ve got yourself a new boy toy right away." Hunt made no move to leave, swirling around the contents of the second cup. "What’s it to you if it’s one or the other?"

The emotions storming through Errol were so intense he couldn’t speak, his eyes teared up. "Please, leave." He choked out, backed up against the wall now.

Hunt seemed to enjoy his misery, "It was a bet, you know. Now that I think about it, I should have been the one to do it." He kept going, eyeing up Errol appreciatively.

Each of his words cut through Errol like a red-hot blade. Memories poured in through the cuts, blurring his vision, or perhaps that was just his tears.

Hunt couldn’t just be saying those things to get to him, his words had to be true because how else would he know exactly what had happened?

It had been at the last Sports Ball which was hosted at Alpha Academy that he first crossed paths with Seton. Sure, they had seen each other around before but there had never been a reason for a conversation between the two of them.

Seton had offered him a drink and asked him to dance. Errol couldn’t believe it at first, it wasn’t possible for another Alpha to want to dance with him, right?

Errol really thought he meant it, it felt like he was living a dream. He forced down the drink, although it burned his throat and made him feel lightheaded. He just didn’t want Seton to take his offer back.

Errol was a lightweight, he couldn’t even handle watered-down wine, not to talk of the multiple shots of alcohol that had been in the glass. He immediately lost his balance when he got to his feet, falling on Seton.

There were dark spots in his memory but he remembered Seton helping him out of the hall. Perhaps Seton was supposed to just abandon him outside but instead, he had given Errol an odd look and kissed him instead.

Errol’s vision still swam badly and he felt nauseated. He wasn’t aware of what he said or how he reacted, he had just wanted to lie down for a bit.

He must have blacked out briefly because when he came to again, he was on a bed but he wasn’t alone. His fogginess cleared a bit when Seton tore his silk shirt off him, terror beginning to set him.

Even though he was hopelessly drunk, he could instinctively tell that he was in danger. Fighting didn’t do much because he couldn’t even coordinate his limbs, even a kitten would have won against him. freewēbnoveℓ.com

That should have been his first sign to run to the far ends of the earth to get away from Seton but he was naive and desperate for love so it was easy to be coerced into believing that Seton had done it because he loved him.

"I’m not..." He trailed off, suddenly drained.

Hunt encroached even further in his personal space, "I promise to leave after you accept my apology drink." He whispered sinisterly.

Errol knew it was a lie but the Alpha’s face was a forceful reminder of things that he would rather have ripped out his brain. He curled up into himself, sure that tears were brimming over his lashes although he couldn’t feel his face.

Even worse was that nobody seemed to notice what was going on at the sofas, or maybe terror had made Errol’s vision narrow and he just couldn’t see everybody else.

Hunt had merely done this for the fun of it, he already snuck some alcohol into the ball, it was only right that he follow in Seton’s footsteps and follow tradition. He hadn’t actually been out for Errol, it was merely fate that had brought them together.

Now that the Alpha was cowering and looked near tears, it was no longer fun. He would still make him drink it though, but he would keep to his word and leave, and maybe find someone else to mess with. ƒrēewebnovel.com

"Drink it and I’ll leave." He pushed the drink closer to him.
