Chapter 202: Chapter 129: Is This Really a Fucking Level 1 Wizard?
"How is this possible?!"
On the city wall, the burly man’s expression changed in an instant.
’He shattered the defensive barrier in a single strike. Could he be a Second-level Wizard?’
Elsewhere, Yan Dong and Fang Na were equally dumbfounded.
They never would have imagined that Pei Ze could shatter the Turin People’s defensive barrier with a single blow.
’Wasn’t the power of that last attack on par with a Second-level Wizard?’
When they came to their senses, the two couldn’t help but gasp. They looked at Pei Ze again, their gazes filled with unconcealable shock.
Just a moment ago, they had thought Pei Ze was bluffing, but now it was clear his power far exceeded their expectations!
Putting everything else aside, even Yan Dong, a Level 1 Liquid Stage Wizard, would have been utterly unable to withstand that last attack.
His strength was simply terrifying!
’Has Pei Ze really been a Wizard for less than two months?’
The same doubt surfaced in the minds of both Yan Dong and Fang Na.
Pei Ze paid no mind to their changing expressions. With a mere thought, the Wuyu on his shoulder shot forward, transforming mid-flight into a turbulent black mist. Thousands of Fog Crows poured out from it, swarming toward the castle like a torrent.
Without the protection of the defensive barrier, the castle was suddenly exposed to the numerous Oak Guardians.
These behemoths immediately raised their thick branches and brought them crashing down upon the city wall.
BOOM! BOOM!
Caught off guard, the Turin Knights on the wall were either sent flying by the branches or smashed directly into a pulp. In an instant, the casualties were catastrophic.
The solid ice wall was battered with huge cracks and craters, becoming pitted and scarred in a heartbeat.
"Damn it!"
The burly man, as if jolted from a dream, roared in shock and fury:
"Don’t fall back! Fight back!"
He then turned to his adjutant and bellowed, "Get the ballistae firing!"
The adjutant hastily complied and turned to give the order.
The ballistae on the outer wall soon roared to life again, unleashing a volley of massive bolts upon the Oak Guardians.
Unfortunately, at this range, the ballistae posed a negligible threat to the Oak Guardians.
Several Oak Guardians turned their attention to the ballistae. With a frenzied whipping of their numerous branches, they quickly destroyed most of the emplacements on the outer wall.
Watching this, the burly man felt a pang so sharp it was as if his heart were bleeding.
But he soon had no time to dwell on his heartache.
Just then, the black torrent of Fog Crows reached the city wall.
Screeching, the Fog Crows dove toward the Knights and infantry on the wall.
Facing Fog Crows with combat power comparable to a Peak Grand Knight, the weaker Noble Infantry were the first to fall, torn to shreds by countless talons in the first clash.
The Sect Knights held out a little longer.
With their strength, they could have barely contended with a Fog Crow in a one-on-one fight.
But now they faced a flock more than ten times their number; on average, each Sect Knight was besieged by at least ten Fog Crows.
Under these circumstances, the Sect Knights lasted only a few exchanges before meeting the same fate as the infantry.
In the blink of an eye, the Turin Army on the wall was completely wiped out.
Only a few officers at the Legendary Knight level were left, struggling desperately to hold on.
But given the disparity in strength between the two sides, their defeat was clearly just a matter of time.
Yan Dong and Fang Na were once again frozen in place, staring in shock at the flock of crows in the distance.
’Familiar derivatives... and so many of them, each with the combat power of a Peak Grand Knight...’
A storm of shock raged in Yan Dong’s heart.
He had a familiar of his own and had seen many other Wizards’ familiars, including powerful ones that could kill a Tier Two Legendary Knight head-on.
But the shock they gave him was nothing compared to Pei Ze’s.
’A host of familiar derivatives, visually estimated at over five thousand, each with the power of a Peak Grand Knight... forget a Tier Two Legendary Knight, even a Tier Three Legendary Knight wouldn’t be able to handle that.’
’How on earth did a Wizard like Pei Ze, who just advanced not long ago, cultivate such a powerful familiar?’
Yan Dong was both shocked and perplexed.
Just then, his expression sharpened, and he looked up into the distance.
He saw an intense fluctuation of energy erupt abruptly above the city wall.
An azure halo, as clear and brilliant as a Gemstone, suddenly materialized amidst the flock of crows. After a brief pause, the halo erupted. A tide of azure energy swept outward, and wherever it passed, the Fog Crows turned into ice sculptures that fell to the ground and shattered.
In a single moment, at least four to five hundred Fog Crows were obliterated.
A conspicuous empty space was instantly cleared in the dense flock.
And in that empty space, four figures in white robes slowly became visible.
The one in the lead was an old man with frosted temples and a solemn face, giving off a rigid and stern impression. On each of his sleeves were embroidered two snowflake patterns.
His gaze swept over the devastated city wall and the battered Sect Knight Order. A look of fury appeared on the old man’s face, and his sharp gaze shot like a sword toward Pei Ze, more than five hundred meters away.
"As expected of a Second-Class Priest, to have located us so quickly."
Seeing that he had been discovered, Pei Ze stopped concealing his presence and openly dispelled his invisibility.
Yan Dong said with a grave expression, "Be careful, Pei Ze. A Second-Class Priest’s power is no less than that of a Level 1 Liquid Stage Wizard."
Fang Na also wore a grave and serious expression.
Neither of them noticed the odd expressions on the faces of Su Ya and Peng Yan behind them.
After all, it wasn’t long ago that Pei Ze had just killed a Second-Class Priest.
Pei Ze nodded slightly without saying much. He beckoned with his hand, and a silvery metallic liquid that had returned to his side at some point landed in his palm, quickly disappearing into his pores.
A brilliant silver glow emerged from his palm and rapidly spread across his entire body.
