Chapter 1992: Chapter 1996: Don’t Bother Me

God, what was she thinking!

Realizing her thoughts were heading in a wicked direction, Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly grabbed the bathrobe and wrapped it around herself.

Picking up the hair dryer to blow her damp hair, the man’s voice flashed through her mind again.

...

I’ve done this kind of thing for you more times than I can count!

...

Luo Xiaoqian shook her head in frustration. Her mind was actually full of that man.

Walking out of the bathroom, she went to the window, lifted the curtains and looked out at the sea.

That man... is he really dead?

No, definitely not.

He was so skilled; he would definitely turn misfortune into blessing.

Touching her lower abdomen, she made a silent decision in her heart: Tomorrow morning she had to go to the room on the second floor and see what exactly was written on that note in the water tank.

Walking to the side of the bed, she lay down on the pillow. Luo Xiaoqian raised her hand to switch off the bedside lamp. She wanted to sleep, but tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.

...

...

Downstairs.

After cleaning up Roselia’s corpse and coming back, Leng Zirui had already been arranged by the Butler to stay in a guest room on the second floor. He took a shower and changed into a clean set of clothes, and with his hair still wet, he walked out of the room.

"Sir, do you need anything else?" The Butler, who was arranging defenses on the first floor, saw him and hurriedly asked politely.

"Where’s the wine cellar? I want to grab a bottle to drink." Leng Zirui asked coolly.

"What would you like to drink, I’ll get it for you?"

Leng Zirui raised a brow impatiently. The Butler could tell he was in a foul mood and guessed it probably had to do with Roselia’s death, so he didn’t say anything more and simply told him where the storage room was.

"Don’t bother me."

Leng Zirui waved him off, strode out of the living room, circled around the villa and quickly found the small door leading to the underground storage room. He pushed the door open and went in.

In the darkness, Leng Zimo silently gripped his gun and, after confirming it was him, lowered his right hand.

Leng Zirui turned on the light and pulled open the small door leading to the basement.

"Come on."

He stepped onto the stairs. Leng Zimo closed the door and followed him in.

The two brothers walked into the cellar one after the other. Leng Zirui casually tossed him the bottle of water he was carrying, pulled a bottle of wine from the rack and opened it. He took a small swig straight from the bottle, then looked at Leng Zimo opposite him. "Why didn’t you leave?"

Leaning against the wooden rack, Leng Zimo took a sip of water. "If I don’t take her with me, I’m not leaving."

"Lunatic." Leng Zirui squeezed the word out between his teeth.

"If Xiao Qian were Xu Xia, you’d be the same." Leng Zimo said evenly.

Leng Zirui shot him a sideways glance, walked over with the bottle in hand, and sat down on a big beer keg not far beside him.

"We can’t kill Luo Ke yet. I need to get all his major transaction records, find out his list of contacts within governments of various countries, and also use him to wipe out Lei Wenting and the others in one go."

"That’s your business. I just want to get Xiao Qian out." Leng Zimo said.

"Bro."

Leng Zirui looked utterly helpless.

He understood his brother’s mood, but doing this was too crazy.

Even though this was a small island and hiding one person didn’t seem difficult, with his personality, he was never going to obediently stay hidden in the dark and wait for a chance. After what happened today, Luo Ke would definitely be doubly cautious. This was basically yanking a tooth from a tiger’s mouth.

"Help me." Leng Zimo raised his hand and grabbed Leng Zirui’s arm. "And I’ll help you."

Turning his face to meet those dark, heavy eyes, Leng Zirui raised the bottle and took a gulp, then nodded. "Fine. You’re my brother, after all. But this time, you have to follow my lead."
