Chapter 13: Arthur’s Path, Sneaking In
"They did experiments on me using flesh and blood of other dragons and even of the Orcs. But one day, they embedded something powerful in my body, and it also broke their control over me. I evolved, and became stronger, so...I killed many Orcs of that kingdom and ate them, which evolved me again, and then I ate all Orcs and everything that came my way, and evolved again.’
’In the end, I killed all the Orc Lords and ate them. But then I discovered that the world wasn’t simple because giant metal monsters and ships appeared, and started taking over the world. They also started hunting me, and they were very strong, so I couldn’t kill them easily. But I managed to eat some of them, and evolved again. But I still wasn’t strong enough. I think they were humans because they looked exactly the same, but they were larger in size, like adults were around ten meters tall.’
’Your portal came at a perfect time, master! You saved me.’
[Player Aidan. Argon Bloodsun Cyber Dragon is one of a kind, a dragon, an exotic being as your talent sought it, born through a unique path of evolution that cannot be imitated. It would be wise to let it continue its evolution path.]
Aidan caressed Arthur’s back. ’Well, you also had a rough life like mine, buddy. Don’t worry, I’ll let you eat intelligent beings, but you must have some patience. For your stomach, we gotta find real pieces of trash that this world doesn’t need. So can you wait until then?’
’Roar! I will wait for as long as you say, Master!’
Aidan smiled.
’Now then, let’s dive steadfast into the gate.’
Lighting flickered around Aidan’s body.
’Say, how much speed can my Divine-10 health handle?’
[Your Divine-10 health is at roughly half of its capacity right now. The maximum speed you can handle before its resistance depletes your body’s energy is 30,704 kilometers per second for five seconds.]
Aidan was dumbfounded. ’That’s insanely fast. Can I achieve that speed with the idea I have?’
[No comment.]
’Arthur, can you maintain camouflage at that speed?’
’Of course, master!’
’Great, then get ready.’
’Ready!’
Aidan’s eyes glinted as a path was about to form, but then he quickly stopped. ’Wait, if I form the path, it might get sensed by those two. After all, I will be putting a form of energy out there, right?’
[Correct. Good that you caught on.]
’...’ Aidan. ’You weren’t planning on telling me?’
[That’s not my job.]
’Fine, fine. So, how do I pre-establish a sequence that would execute itself? Because I certainly can’t think and use magic fast enough during that speed to put one point in front of me, reach it, then make another point, and reach it...sounds impossible and very slow unless I make it like a program that I can execute.’
[That would be in the territory of spells. A spell is a pre-established sequence that executes according to its instructions. In a language you understand, it’s a form of coding.]
[To create a spell, you must form a mana paper in your mindscape and connect it with the parameters and powers you want to execute. This connection is profound, and how you design this paper depends on individuals. The paper becomes your body, mind, and powers, showing an exclusive design of dots that represent them. By connecting the dots and forming patterns, you create a spell that executes itself upon activation. You can save this spell and can execute it at will.]
’Interesting.’ Aidan’s eyes glinted. ’This sounds fun.’
Aidan told Arthur to wait as he started dabbling in the territory of spells.
The Blitzer Burst ’technique’ was like a complete ladder, and he could climb it at a fast speed. But this full ladder couldn’t be hidden from others’ senses as it interacted with the atmosphere.
The Blitzer Burst spell would not be a complete ladder. It would be like building a step ahead, climbing it, then building another step, and climbing it. This way, it would be hidden from others’ senses as each step of the ladder would be enveloped within Arthur’s camouflage as he travels through it, and after passing it, the step would disappear, leaving nothing behind.
Five minutes later...
’Well, that wasn’t hard.’ Aidan grinned as a mystical paper with exotic patterns lit up in his mindscape.
’We are going in, buddy.’
Below, one guard was watching something on a hologram that extended from his wrist-watch, and the other was meditating, but not inwardly. He was outwardly looking at the surroundings, doing his job of securing the area in surveillance.
"It’ll be your turn soon, Bors. Get ready."
"Yeah, yeah. I still have two more minutes. Keep it up."
Unaware of them, the portal of the gate wobbled for a frank, disturbing nothing and no one.
No sound, no wind movement, nothing.
On the other side of the portal, Aidan and Arthur flew up above the clouds.
"ROAR!!" Arthur roared, speeding up instantly before crashing into a mountain, right on top of a gigantic blue-scaled bear with crimson patterns.
BOOM!
A Tier-10 Monster died just like that.
Arthur suddenly became bigger, startling Aidan.
"Woah!"
After becoming 100 meters long, Arthur opened his mouth and gulped the entire bear in one go. fгeewebnovёl.com
"Guess you were really hungry for some high-tier meat."
"Grrrrr!"
Now, that wasn’t Arthur’s growl, but Aidan’s stomach.
Arthur looked at Aidan.
"Haha, my stomach is asking for some as well. Let’s go start hunting for food."
...
After two hours, Arthur and Aidan had travelled a few thousand kilometers away from the portal.
So far, all they saw was the thick and exotic wilderness with rivers, forests, and mountains, and a bunch of Terror Tears that would appear, spew Terrors, and disappear before appearing at another place.
The Terrors were fighting against monsters, killing them and getting killed, but they were unceasing. Terroreign had rooted into this dimension, creating anchors and one core. To purify this and have a chance to make this dimension permanent, hunters would have to destroy all the anchors and cores.
"This place looks good. Let’s camp here and cook."
When Arthur and Aidan encountered a beach, they stopped there.
Aidan poured out over fifty gigantic Tier-10 monsters.
In one hour, they had killed 54 Tier-10 monsters and 134 Tier-10 Terrors.
Well, it was Arthur who mainly killed them at a speed he couldn’t even perceive properly yet. All he did was store the bodies of monsters into his Inventory, but for most of the time, he experimented with aspects to create spells and techniques, learning the positives and negatives of both, and overall increasing his knowledge.
"Can you make a big campfire, buddy?"
Arthur nodded.
Particles rained over an area before they ignited and took form, turning into large sticks of wood in a neatly arranged manner as a giant ten-meter campfire appeared.
"Your abilities are too handy." Aidan grinned and flew up. "Next, skin the bodies as I say and remove the bones."
He wanted to help, but if he did, he would exhaust his body’s energy by depleting his mana after skinning a couple of monsters.
His magic potency, as in, his Attack stat wasn’t strong enough to cut through these Tier-10 monsters at low mana cost.
After all, his other stats were still at merely A-1, far weaker than these Tier-10 Monsters with stats ranging from SSS-11 to SSS-100.
Tier-10 was the gigantic gap in power. At Tier-9, people and monsters had stats progressing from SSS-1 to SSS-10.
A 10-point increment as usual.
But at Tier-10, all the stats would have to increase from SSS-11 to SSS-100, which required an immense amount of resources.
There were two ways to progress in Tier-10 rank. First, by regularly eating the meat of monsters stronger than them. Second, by absorbing essence-type resources that give a significant boost at once.
Arthur was two stages beyond Tier-10, at legendary-rank, and on this planet, the known Legendary-rank powerhouses were less than fifteen.
