Chapter 121: Chapter 104: Double Rewards? Welcome to the Team

"Alright, what is it?"

Flora took off her hat, revealing a cascade of red hair.

"It’s about Miss Feney’s safety..."

Lin Mo couldn’t believe the Lord of Silver Stream City would feel at ease simply entrusting the young lady to ordinary Adventurers like them.

"Someone will be protecting her from the shadows. But don’t worry, they won’t interfere with your adventure unless it’s an extreme situation."

As expected.

Lin Mo smiled faintly. This was one of the reasons he had agreed so readily.

Accidents were bound to happen during an adventure, especially since the quests his squad was taking now required them to enter the Deep Forest Area of the Loran Forest. There was no guarantee they wouldn’t run into a powerful Demon.

’Bringing the young lady along not only means an extra reward, but also a guarantee of our safety. Only a fool would turn down a deal this good.’

He was also well aware that if it weren’t for his connection to Flora, an opportunity like this would have never come their way.

"Thank you."

Flora waved her hand. "Don’t thank me. It was just a coincidence. In a way, you were also helping Lady Ravel... By the way, how is your Magic training coming along?"

"It’s going okay."

Lin Mo held out his hand, and a Fireball instantly materialized in his palm.

Then the Fireball vanished, replaced by an Ice Cone.

"Your Magic Power is increasing at a decent rate."

Flora nodded, feigning composure, but internally, she was already cursing up a storm.

’If learning Magic so quickly could be chalked up to a fluke, his rate of Magic Power growth has me utterly convinced. This guy is a monstrous genius.’

’What he’s achieved in just two days took me more than half a month of hard work back in the day.’

’And he did it all without a teacher!’

"Any other questions?"

Lin Mo detected a hint of impatience in her tone, leaving him momentarily confused.

’She was fine a moment ago. Why the sudden rush?’

"I have two more questions. First, is there a way to recover Magic Power quickly?"

"Yes. A Basic Magic Potion costs 25 gold coins per bottle. After drinking it, you can rapidly recover your Magic Power within five minutes. With your current Magic Strength, one bottle should be enough for three or four uses."

"...Never mind."

Lin Mo instantly abandoned the idea of chugging potions to grind levels. The Magic Potion was even more expensive than a Life Potion. Buying one for an emergency was one thing, but using it as a daily consumable was far beyond what he could afford right now.

"Second question: where can I buy Magic Scrolls, and what’s the approximate cost?"

"Magic Scrolls are typically sold at auction, so the price varies. An Ordinary Level Magic Scroll can go for anywhere between 300 to 800 Gold Coins. As for other methods... you could try your luck on Adventurer Street. Occasionally, an Adventurer desperate for cash will sell a Skill Scroll. The price would be a little cheaper than at an auction, but not by much."

"What about Skill Scrolls for other Professions? Is it the same for them?"

"More or less, but they’re cheaper and more common than Magic Scrolls..."

Even so, Lin Mo knew he probably couldn’t afford them easily.

Even the most common Skills for the Warrior Profession often cost upwards of 150 Gold. He’d have to sell everything he owned and it still might not be enough.

Besides, he still needed to save up for the Secret Silver Gloves. Once he formally learned Magic and became a Mage, he would definitely need to focus on developing the Mage Profession.

"If you need one, I happen to have a spare Warrior Profession Skill Scroll."

Seeing his predicament, Flora reached into her robes and pulled out a Skill Scroll. "I got this from a rather foolish thief on my way to Roland Town."

"How much?"

Lin Mo eyed the scroll, hesitating.

He did want to expand his arsenal of Skills. Ever since his main ones had reached Excellent Level, the gains from killing Ordinary Demons with them had become quite low.

He couldn’t practice Magic Skills too much due to the limitations of his Magic Power. The best solution was to pick up a few more Low Level Skills to maximize the gains from killing monsters.

After all, Low Level Skills were quick to train and provided some attribute points. Once mastered, they could even evolve automatically. There was no downside, no matter how he thought about it...

But the question of whether to spend money on it left him conflicted.

Flora chuckled. "It’s nothing valuable. Consider it a gift."

"Is that really okay?"

Though that’s what he said, his body acted more honestly, his hand already reaching out to touch the still-warm scroll.

"Just consider it thanks for helping me dismantle the site Lawrence and his men set up. When it comes to Magic, I’m a tutor at Saint Antonia Academy, so I can’t personally teach you. But anything outside of Magic is fair game."

As Flora spoke, she handed the scroll to him.

"Thank you."

Lin Mo thanked her very sincerely.

Flora waved her hand. "Take good care of Feney. I don’t just mean during the adventure, but also socially. I’m worried she’ll have a hard time fitting in with other Adventurers, so please take the initiative to talk with her... This is a personal request. That girl is like a little sister to me. She’s very innocent and kind, so please don’t be mean to her."

"I’ll keep that in mind."

Lin Mo nodded seriously.

"Alright, go practice the new Skill. With your talent, you should be able to use it in tomorrow’s adventure."

Flora picked up her hat and placed it back on her head. With a wave and a flick of her Magic Robe, she turned and departed as naturally as she had arrived.

Lin Mo stared at her retreating back for a long moment before calling out, "Are you using the window?"
