Chapter 56: The Eternal Path

"It’s certainly a beautiful place... and everything here is wonderful... without exception!"

In response to Rios’s flirtatious remark, the receptionist smiled gently and tilted her head slightly.

"Thank you for your kind compliment, Mr. Ozir."

Rios slowly walked toward the desk, his expression returning to its usual calmness, then took a seat across from her.

Rather than continuing to flirt with the receptionist or admire the surroundings, he got straight to the point.

"I want to exchange the monster cores I have for Prime."

In response to Rios’s request, the receptionist took out a small blue disc and placed it on the desk.

"You may place all the monster cores you have here, Mr. Ozir. The detection array will calculate how much Prime you can exchange them for."

Rios stared at the blue detection array for a moment before placing his hand on it and instructing the system to transfer every monster core inside the system vault into the array.

Moments later, a massive stream of cores began pouring into the detection array. The moment they entered, the array emitted a blue glow and swallowed them all without showing the slightest sign that it would stop anytime soon.

After Rios finished sending every monster core he possessed into the array, it finally stopped glowing, and several numbers written in a strange language appeared above it.

"You have cores worth eighty thousand Prime, Mr. Ozir. Would you like them transferred to your personal storage, or deposited into an Eternal Night Bank account?" the receptionist asked gently as she put the detection array away.

"No. Transfer them to my personal storage."

The monster cores Rios had just exchanged were the treasury of the City of Light accumulated over the past thousand years.

Originally, those funds had been divided into ten portions, with eight of them sent to different places to seek help in saving the City of Light.

Two portions had remained within the city, while five portions had been sent to the Falcon race. However, they eventually returned with the Wood Fairy Tala, who handed them over to Etham.

As for the remaining three portions, they had been sent to the Giants in the neighboring lands of the City of Light. Two of those envoy teams were killed by the Giants, who seized all the monster cores they carried.

The third team—the old man Jansh and the young girl Luna—had fortunately crossed paths with Rios.

Rios had already absorbed that portion and converted it into points.

However, after becoming the King of the City of Light, all the remaining monster cores eventually fell into his hands.

He left one of the ten portions inside the City of Light for emergencies, while the other five portions had now been converted into Prime.

"They will be transferred immediately into your personal account, Mr. Ozir. You may withdraw them in full once you leave The Eternal Night Heaven, or spend them here. Any transaction amount will be deducted automatically from your account, and you will be notified before and after every transaction," the receptionist explained politely, leaving nothing out.

"Thank you."

Rios nodded, stood up from his seat, and prepared to leave.

"It was a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Ozir. We look forward to your next visit."

The receptionist nodded back with a gentle smile.

After leaving through the golden gate, Rios looked around and muttered quietly,

"What should I do now?"

There were many things occupying his mind.

He needed to find a way to make the City of Light stronger as quickly as possible.

He needed to find enough food to feed more than two million people during the coming period.

And most importantly...

He needed a way to understand the laws so he could break through to the fourth level as quickly as possible.

"Why don’t you try one of the Three Halls, Sir?"

The moment Lily heard Rios’s whisper, she immediately recommended something that might be useful. free𝑤ebnovel.com

"The Three Halls? What are those?"

Rios regained his focus and asked curiously.

"Throughout the entire universe, the Immortal Eternal Night Empire is famous for two things above all else."

Lily flew rapidly around Rios before stopping in front of him, spreading her arms wide with pride.

"First, of course, is The Eternal Night Heaven, something no other organization in the universe possesses."

"Second... the Three Halls."

"The Eternal Dream Auction Hall, recognized as the greatest auction hall in the universe."

"The second is the Eternal Coliseum, where you can fight to your heart’s content without worrying about death."

"And the third... a hall that has become the unique symbol of the Immortal Eternal Night Empire, just like The Eternal Night Heaven itself."

— The Eternal Path Hall —

Lily’s words carried an unmistakable sense of admiration as she spoke of them.

However, Rios frowned when he heard the name of the last hall.

"I understand that the Eternal Dream Auction Hall deals with auctions and rare treasures, and that the Eternal Coliseum is dedicated to endless combat and entertainment. But what about the Eternal Path Hall?"

In response to Rios’s question, Lily narrowed her eyes into cheerful crescents.

"Sir, the Eternal Path Hall is the one and only place of its kind in the entire universe."

She raised one finger and began explaining.

"Once a cultivator completes the first three realms and learns how to gather energy, use it, and transform it into skills, they enter the Realms of Wisdom, where they begin observing the universe and its laws, choosing one of those laws to build their foundation and walk the path toward immortality."

"Once the cultivator comprehends ten percent of the law they have chosen, they begin laying the foundation of the fourth level. From then on, as their understanding deepens, both their strength and cultivation level continue to rise."

"That is why these levels are called...

..."

"There are many things that can increase the speed of comprehension, such as the quality of one’s bloodline, a special skill, a rare treasure, or a unique environment."

At this point, Lily proudly raised her chin and continued,

"And that is exactly where the Eternal Path Hall comes in. By placing you in an environment perfectly compatible with your chosen law, and exposing you to a vast number of concepts related to that law, your comprehension speed will increase several times over in a very short period."

After hearing Lily’s explanation, Rios’s eyes widened to their limit, his pupils shrinking sharply as he asked in a trembling voice,

"Then... does it have an environment or concepts suitable for the Law of Life or the Law of Derivation?"
