Chapter 1973: Chapter 477: Ambitions Pave the Way, Under Heaven’s Turbulence (Part 6)
I’ve heard Doctor Zhang’s medical skills are extraordinary; otherwise, how could the Queen let him stay by the Princess’s side? Besides, it’s the middle of the night, and going to the hospital would still take quite a while.
The door to Doctor Zhang’s room was locked from inside, no matter how much Gan Wei’er banged on the door or shouted until her throat was hoarse, that thunderous snoring never lessened.
Gan Wei’er felt itchy and painful all over, and couldn’t help but rub her back against the door up and down, left and right. This behavior was very unseemly, causing a few maids to cover their mouths and giggle.
Gan Wei’er glared viciously: "What are you laughing at? Laugh again and I’ll throw you out."
Her words didn’t matter at all; the maids didn’t take her seriously.
"It’s the middle of the night, what’s all this noise about? You’re not sleeping, but the Princess is. If you wake the Princess, I won’t let you off." The Butler Ziyu appeared with a stern face, his cold gaze sweeping over, making the maids lower their heads one after another.
"Butler Ziyu, you have to save me." Gan Wei’er cried, rushing over to him.
Butler Ziyu, seeing her in disheveled clothes and covered in rashes, even he couldn’t help but take a sharp breath, "What happened?"
Gan Wei’er, with a mournful face, couldn’t help but scratch her calf, "I don’t know, it suddenly turned out like this."
Butler Ziyu said in a deep voice, "I’ll arrange for someone to take you to the hospital now. It’s not good for a young girl like you to have scars."
Gan Wei’er pointed to the room behind her, "But isn’t there a Divine Doctor right here?"
Butler Ziyu raised his eyebrows, "If you can wake him, then it’s fine."
Gan Wei’er began to cry uncontrollably, "How can this be? Doesn’t he like me? Is he deliberately not saving me?"
Butler Ziyu sighed, "You’ve misunderstood Doctor Zhang. When he sleeps, he cultivates his inner breath and respiration techniques to prolong life and strengthen the body, so even if you break the door, he won’t wake up."
So that’s how it is; Gan Wei’er felt even more desperate. How could she be so unlucky?
Butler Ziyu arranged for Gan Wei’er to be taken to the hospital overnight. After a check-up, the doctor said it was a rash caused by a food allergy. After putting on a few drips until dawn, the itch finally stopped, but the rashes hadn’t faded; there were still red scratch marks on her face. Her biggest worry was scarring, and she asked the doctor several times.
"The scratched area is quite large, it’s hard to say. If you’re lucky, it won’t scar. Even if it does, there’s nothing to worry about; with modern medicine, medical aesthetics can make it clean and fair again."
Gan Wei’er still felt uneasy. Most importantly, she couldn’t be seen by anyone now. If Young Master Lorde found out, would he despise her?
Food allergy? What did she eat to cause rashes all over?
She carefully reviewed everything; she ate the same food as the Princess, who was fine, so naturally she should be too. Only at the banquet she was forced to drink quite a lot of wine by those people, so was it the wine...
It couldn’t be Xi Lin being jealous, unable to take revenge on the Princess, so she targeted her instead. She suffered an undeserved disaster for the Princess’s sake, she truly suffered this time, and she still blames the Princess for it.
Zhang Huasheng woke up refreshed, looking at the bright sunshine, the singing birds and fragrant flowers, he happily walked out.
Yun Ya heard about last night’s events and upon seeing Zhang Huasheng, asked, "Master, did you do this?"
Zhang Huasheng replied with an innocent face, "Master, I am unjustly accused."
Yun Ya shook his head helplessly, "You might fool others, but you can’t fool me."
Zhang Huasheng’s mustache twitched, "There’s always some petty ones flaunting their skills in front of the ancestor, the ancestor just taught them a lesson."
"Master did it to vent your anger, and now you’re scolding Master." He replied with a face full of grievance.
Yun Ya snorted with laughter, "Master did well. Let her disdain doctors, and not simply run to the hospital."
That little girl Gan Wei’er kept stirring trouble in the shadows, Yun Ya just didn’t want to bother. Master helped vent her frustration, and she was grateful.
Zhang Huasheng snorted, sitting opposite her, "Daring to drug you, Master cannot tolerate it."
"Don’t worry, Master has plenty of strange poisons; making a few experiments on her wouldn’t be bad, treating her as my little white mouse."
Such a superficial little girl naturally couldn’t draw too much attention from the two of them; they quickly shifted topics, talking about the engagement party early next month, "Do you think she’ll come then?"
Yun Ya quietly sipped her tea, "She will come."
"What if she doesn’t come, everything you’ve done would be for naught, and if you truly get engaged to Lorde by then... that guy will lose his mind." The tone was quite gleefully malicious.
