Chapter 1972: Chapter 477: Ambition Paves the Way, Turbulence Across the Land (5)
"Hello, Miss Weiwei." Zhang Huasheng walked over with a smiling face.
Gan Wei’er was never stingy with her smiles, especially her innocent and obedient smile, the kind that old people liked the most. "Divine Doctor Grandpa, you’re bringing medicine to Sister Yun again, how hardworking."
"Yes, it’s so late and you’re still not resting?"
Zhang Huasheng walked past her, suddenly raised his hand and touched her hair. Gan Wei’er instinctively took a step back, and Zhang Huasheng, holding a withered leaf between his fingers, smiled and said, "You have a leaf in your hair, I picked it off for you."
Gan Wei’er awkwardly smiled, "Thank you, Divine Doctor Grandpa." She really was startled, as Divine Doctor Grandpa looked kind-hearted and wouldn’t take advantage of her. Just the thought of it made her feel sleazy.
Zhang Huasheng walked away happily with the medicine bowl in hand.
Suddenly, Gan Wei’er sneezed, rubbed her nose, and felt a bit itchy.
Could it be that waiting at the door for so long gave her a cold? After dragging that old servant out for a scolding, Gan Wei’er hurried back to her room, took a comfortable hot bath, and lay in bed with a joyful heart.
In the middle of the night, she suddenly felt itchy all over, and couldn’t stop scratching. But the more she scratched, the itchier it got, the piercing itch combined with the pleasure and pain of being scratched drove her insane.
She suddenly sat up in bed, scratching her back with both hands, but could never reach the itchiest spot, her face contorting in frustration.
"Ahhhhh...." she couldn’t help but yell out.
Ah Hua, hearing the noise, pushed the door open and came in, turning on the light. Seeing Gan Wei’er sitting in bed scratching herself shocked her, and Gan Wei’er, seeing her like a savior, grabbed her hand and moved it to her back, "Quick, scratch me, it’s killing me."
Ah Hua swallowed, seeing the blood on her back, instinctively pulled her hand back. Gan Wei’er, anxious, slapped her across the face, "You little bitch, you dare not listen to me?"
Ah Hua, holding her burning face, felt indignant; who do you think you are, hitting me like this?
"Didn’t you hear me?" Gan Wei’er shouted with a ferocious expression.
Ah Hua silently suppressed her anger, even though she was a servant, she still had human rights. The Princess had always respected them, never willing to even touch a hair on their heads. During her time with Gan Wei’er, she finally saw the true nature of this woman, always wanting to compare with the Princess, but always ended up failing miserably.
There was simply no comparison with the Princess.
Ah Hua, unable to voice her resentment, could only reach out to scratch her back, tearing her skin open, blood and flesh oozing out, yet Gan Wei’er moaned in satisfaction. Suddenly her legs started to itch too. She pulled them up and saw her fair skin covered with dense red rashes. Anyone with trypophobia would have goosebumps. Gan Wei’er let out a scream, but couldn’t resist the itch. She could only reach out to scratch, popping the rashes, blood smearing all over her thighs and calves. Gan Wei’er felt both pained and comfortable, her face twisting dramatically under the light, looking quite terrifying.
"My face... my face." Gan Wei’er just thought of scratching her face, but suddenly stopped. If she scratched the rash open, she would be disfigured, yet it itched so much. The sensation was like thousands of ants crawling through her veins. Gan Wei’er rolled around on the bed in agony.
Ah Hua stepped back, coldly watching.
Serves you right.
Eventually, Gan Wei’er couldn’t hold back and scratched her face, breaking it open. She rushed to the mirror, seeing her once fair face now covered in dense red rashes, red lines seeping out, looking truly horrifying.
Gan Wei’er’s eyes widened in terror, and she suddenly swept everything off the table onto the floor, holding her face, screaming, "My face...."
The piercing scream echoed throughout the ancient castle, chilling like an evil ghost.
"What are you standing there for? Go get Doctor Zhang for me!" Gan Wei’er shouted viciously at Ah Hua, who stood at the door.
Ah Hua turned and walked away slowly.
After a while, another maid who could speak came over. She was one of the head maids called Hongxin, and calmly said, "Doctor Zhang is already asleep."
"Then wake him up for me. If my face is ruined, none of you will escape." Gan Wei’er screamed shrilly.
A flash of disdain crossed Hongxin’s eyes as she calmly replied, "Doctor Zhang has a habit of sleeping like a log, even a cannon by his ear wouldn’t wake him."
Gan Wei’er now realized that these people were all on the Princess’s side, never seeing her as their master. Shoving her aside, "I’ll go wake him myself."
