Chapter 1952: Chapter 475: The Thief’s Heart Never Dies, Debasing by Choice
Yun Ya smiled cheekily, "Discussing whether Brother Yan is capable or not."
Damn, bold enough, Zhang Huasheng secretly gave Yun Ya a thumbs-up, as men are most sensitive about being questioned on such matters. Looks like there’ll be a good show tonight.
"Hmm?" Yan Song raised an eyebrow dangerously, his tone seductive.
"Capable... or not?" The three words sounded as if they were spoken through gritted teeth.
Yun Ya chuckled softly, "I said, how can we question Brother Yan? It was master who said it, but Brother Yan, I believe in you." Yun Ya patted his shoulder, receiving a glare from Yan Song filled with hostility.
Yun Ya’s heart shuddered suddenly, but for the sake of her lifelong plan, she forced a smile and said, "Brother Yan, don’t you agree?"
Yan Song’s deep gaze lingered on Yun Ya’s face, making even someone as thick-skinned as her feel a bit embarrassed.
"Whether capable or not, you can try and see."
Yun Ya raised an eyebrow, "Words are to be kept."
Zhang Huasheng suddenly coughed, well, he was still catching his breath...
"Alright, you guys take it easy, don’t overdo it, master won’t be a third wheel anymore." With that said, he swiftly ran off.
Yun Ya chuckled softly, staring into Yan Song’s deep gaze, "I was just joking with master, don’t take it to heart."
"A joke?" Yan Song questioned lightly, and with a long arm swipe, Yun Ya fell into his embrace. She pushed against his chest, looked up sheepishly at his handsome face that was so close, and swallowed hard.
"Brother Yan, actually I...."
Before she could finish her sentence, her thoughts were completely ensnared by his overwhelming presence.
Alright, you shouldn’t provoke a petty man.
——
The wind stopped, the rain subsided, and the sun came out.
After the rain, everything felt exceptionally fresh and beautiful.
Early in the morning, Lorde was about to leave. Butler Ziyu came to ask her to see him off, and Yun Ya agreed. Butler Ziyu thought that with the Princess’s temperament, after what happened yesterday, she might make a scene. But the Princess didn’t cry or make a fuss; she seemed to have accepted her fate.
Hopefully, the Princess has really figured things out.
At the dock, the sea breeze was strong, blowing the veil into the wind, adding a touch of ethereal grace to her gentle figure.
Lorde stood at the dock in a neat military uniform, and when he saw Yun Ya approaching, his gaze briefly flickered.
"Have a safe journey."
Lorde nodded, "After I go back, I’ll inform my father and come back to marry you."
His voice was firm and resolute.
Standing behind Yun Ya, Ziyu smirked upon hearing this.
Turning around, step by step, Lorde walked towards the deck, his tall figure standing out against the blue sky and sea.
The ship gradually disappeared on the horizon until it became just a small black dot.
"The wind is too strong, Princess, let’s head back." Butler Ziyu whispered.
Yun Ya gathered her veil, turned around, and walked back.
Gan Wei’er punched the tree stump fiercely, her eyes filled with hatred. Damn it, that slut picked up what she left behind. After scheming so hard, does it end up benefiting this woman?
Before Young Master Lorde left, he even said he’d come back to marry her. Does she deserve that?
Gan Wei’er felt an unbearable anger, wanting to tear that woman to pieces.
Taking a deep breath, the harshness on her face faded, and she regained her sweet and charming smile. Nothing is set in stone yet; we’ll see.
"Gan Wei’er?" Yun Ya frowned slightly, then quickly relaxed and smiled, "Come on in."
A young girl in a pink dress walked in, pure and lovely, sweet and obedient.
"Princess, I came uninvited, you won’t find me annoying, will you?" The girl said with a cheerful smile, her innocent appearance hard to blame.
Yun Ya laughed, "I’m all alone and have no one to talk to. I’m so happy you came to keep me company."
Gan Wei’er casually sat down opposite Yun Ya, "Since the Princess says so, I’ll come more often to chat with you then. By the way, I’m seventeen this year, how old are you, Princess?"
"Eighteen."
"Oh, the Princess is one year older than me. Can I call you sister then? My mom only had one daughter, and I’ve always dreamed of having a sister. For some reason, I felt a sense of closeness when I first laid eyes on the Princess, just like a real sister."
Yun Ya laughed, "Of course you can, my given name is Yun, you can call me Sister Yun."
"Sister Yun." Gan Wei’er immediately said sweetly with a smile.
It was her first time entering Yun Ya’s room, and she was struck by its luxury and splendor, feeling both jealous and envious inside.
Why wasn’t she blessed with such a good fortune? Despite her jealousy, she did not show even a hint of it on her face.
