"Alright," Seth Quinn agreed after a moment of thought. "Have Miles go with you."

"Okay, I know," Clara Grant said with a nod.

Sienna Hale quickly chimed in, "If that Sandra woman is really the culprit, you have to make sure she’s severely punished. Show her no mercy!"

’Even though the target was Clara Grant, it was my son who got hurt!’

Though Sienna Hale’s words were about Sandra, Faye Jennings couldn’t help but tremble slightly.

But she quickly composed herself. ’I’m not afraid. Sandra is the main culprit, so what do I have to fear!’

’As long as I handle this well, they’ll never find out the truth!’

Clara Grant thought for a moment, then glanced at Seth Quinn. Putting on a troubled expression, she said, "But, Seth, if I go, it’ll take at least half the day for me to get back. Who’s going to take care of you? I don’t think Sienna can manage it, and there’s no one else here."

As she spoke, she caught a glimpse of Autumn Shelby out of the corner of her eye. Seeing Autumn’s excited and eager expression, Clara Grant chuckled inwardly.

Before Seth Quinn could even speak, she turned directly to Autumn Shelby. "Miss Shelby, didn’t you just say you wanted to take care of Seth? As long as he doesn’t mind, I certainly don’t mind you helping."

Autumn Shelby, casting aside all pretense of modesty, nodded eagerly. "I’ll take care of Seth. I’m sure he won’t mind."

A smirk played on Clara Grant’s lips. Without even glancing at Seth Quinn, she turned and started walking out.

Faye Jennings hurried to keep up with her, her ears pricked to catch Seth Quinn’s response from behind.

Seth Quinn watched Clara Grant’s retreating back, knowing she intended to humiliate Autumn Shelby. A look of fond exasperation filled his eyes.

Then, he turned to Autumn Shelby. The tenderness in his eyes vanished, instantly replaced by an icy chill that kept everyone at a distance. Just before Clara Grant walked out the door, he spoke, his tone deliberately casual. "Sorry, but I do mind. Mrs. Cheney can stay and take care of me."

The smile on Clara Grant’s face widened. She raised an eyebrow and stepped out of the room.

’Getting rejected in front of so many people... I can only imagine how mortified Autumn Shelby must look right now.’

She wanted to humiliate her. She wanted Autumn to know that she, Clara Grant, was no pushover.

’I can be cunning, too. I know how to play these games!’

’And more importantly, I have Seth Quinn’s full support!’

’By doing this, I’m also sending a message to Faye Jennings. If Autumn Shelby can’t compete with me, Faye stands even less of a chance. She’d better figure that out quickly and drop any thought of making an enemy of me.’

As for Faye Jennings, she risked a quick glance back at Autumn Shelby before turning away again, her feet never stopping as she followed Clara Grant out of the hospital room.
