Chapter 474: Chapter 467: An Illness Must Be Treated; Never Give Up on Treatment

"Is that so?" Clara Grant smiled sweetly, her tone light and breezy. "His heart didn’t go far. It just went from you to me. How far could that be? Oh, my mistake. I misspoke. It seems his heart was never with you in the first place."

"You!" Autumn Shelby could no longer remain calm. She shot to her feet, her body trembling with rage at Clara’s merciless words.

Clara Grant also rose slowly to her feet. She gave Autumn a cool glance and said coldly, "Miss Shelby, perhaps you’re unaware, but Seth and I already have our marriage certificate. He is my legal husband now. Of course, even if he hadn’t married me, you would have no hope of getting back together with him.

"So, I advise you to stop fantasizing about him. And stop saying you got depression because of him, or talking about how much you’ve suffered. Because no matter how much you’ve suffered, Seth will never love you for it."

If Autumn Shelby hadn’t been so aggressive, Clara Grant wouldn’t have stooped so low as to use her illness as a weapon against her.

With that said, Clara Grant had no desire to waste any more time on this topic and turned to head back to the hospital room.

’Sigh... The hospital room felt so stuffy, so I came out for a breather. I never expected Autumn Shelby to chase after me just to cause trouble. Dealing with her out here is worse than being back in that room.’

But Autumn Shelby darted forward, blocking her path.

"So what if you’re married to Seth, Clara Grant? You haven’t even gone public or had a wedding. Even if all of Novaria knew you were his wife, I still wouldn’t give up!"

As Autumn Shelby spoke, she looked Clara up and down with a disdainful gaze that finally landed on her face. "Look at you. How are you worthy of Seth? What makes you think you can even compare to me? Let me tell you, no matter what, Seth will be mine in the end. He can only be mine!"

Clara Grant almost laughed at her blind confidence. She threw up her hands and said helplessly, "Miss Shelby, I don’t know if you had depression before, but right now, I strongly suspect you have a delusional disorder. So, I really think you should see a doctor. If you’re sick, you need to get treated. Whatever you do, don’t give up on your treatment."

If the circumstances were different, Clara Grant would have wanted to give her a friendly pat on the shoulder.

With that, Clara Grant once again tried to step past her, but Autumn Shelby simply took another step to the side, blocking her path. "You’re the other woman who broke up a relationship, yet you’re acting so high and mighty. You’re shameless, a total slut!

"What right do you have to mock me? Take a good look at yourself! You’re nothing but a bitch born from some slut!"

Clara Grant could have tolerated anything Autumn Shelby said about her, but she could not stand by and let her mother be insulted!

The coldness on Clara Grant’s face deepened, and she clenched her hands into tight fists. "Autumn Shelby, don’t you go too far!"

Seeing that she’d finally gotten a reaction, Autumn Shelby’s lips curled into a cold sneer. "So what if I’m going too far? What about it? Mad? You want to hit me? Then do it! Hit me!"

’This was exactly what she wanted. She wanted Clara to get angry, to hit her. That way, she could run and tattle to Sienna Hale, which would only make Sienna hate Clara Grant even more!’

But Clara Grant suddenly smiled. "Well, I’ve never heard such an impolite request," she said. "But since you’re asking so nicely, I’ll grant your wish!"

With that, she shot out her right hand and seized Autumn Shelby’s right hand.
