Chapter 672: Full Moon for My Little Niece

"You looked like this when you were born too, ugly, but after a few days, you grew to look better," Xu Mumu said with a smile.

"No way?" The little one felt like he was struck by lightning. Was he really this ugly before? Terrified, he couldn’t believe it. He couldn’t be that ugly.

"It’s true, I saw what you looked like when you were born, just like this. My mom said that all babies look like this, so no need to worry, we all went through that ugly phase," Little Fengfeng reassured his elder nephew like an adult.

The little one had to accept the reality. Seeing that his mom and dad weren’t objecting, he knew that little uncle was right.

He couldn’t call his sister ugly, because he used to be ugly, too.

Xu Mumu didn’t know the little one’s mind was so full of drama; she was currently watching Yun Qiu with great interest. The little guy was already asleep, looking very sweet and small, with tiny hands held in, making Xu Mumu’s heart soften.

"Brother, let Yun Qiu wear this for peace and safety." Xu Mumu took out the small silver bracelet she had prepared. Had it been a boy, she would have taken a longevity lock instead.

This little silver bracelet was prepared for a girl, and its design was quite exquisite.

"Thanks, sister." Xu Minghui wasn’t pretentious and accepted the item directly.

The daughter was still young, and they would put it on her after a month had passed, letting her wear it until it no longer fit.

The silver bracelet was beautifully crafted, so it would surely look good on the little girl.

It was getting late. The little one was satisfied after seeing the baby sister born, and now sleepiness followed him.

While Xu Mumu and the others were sitting in the car on the way back, the little one fell asleep in the car.

The little fellow was doing quite well staying awake this long; children still need to get enough sleep.

Back home, they carefully took off his clothes, wiped his face, and then put him to bed.

The little guy slept soundly; even after Xu Mumu had disturbed him a bit, he didn’t wake up.

She kissed the little one’s cheek before gently leaving his room.

"Honey, do you want to have more children?" Yin Yang gently murmured, holding his little wife. He wanted a daughter, but couldn’t bear the thought of his wife suffering.

"Of course, we can have a few. You know my health is good, don’t worry, everything will be fine," Xu Mumu replied with a smile.

"But I’m worried about you." Yin Yang held his wife, feeling pained.

"There’s nothing to worry about. You saw how smoothly it went when I gave birth to Doudou. We should have a few more kids, both boys and girls. Do you want Doudou to handle everything on his own? That would be too tiring. I don’t want Doudou to be like you, with so much to do every day," Xu Mumu said with a smile.

"You make it sound so easy. I want to give Doudou more siblings, but I can’t bear to see you suffer," Yin Yang said, glaring at his wife, feeling she didn’t appreciate his concern.

"It’s not a big deal, you’ll be with me, it’s just a bit of pain," Xu Mumu laughed.

After two days in the hospital, Jiang Yuxiu was brought home to rest, and guests visited from the Jiang family.

Doudou would run to the Xu Family every day to see his sister Yun Qiu. Yun Qiu looked different every day and soon wasn’t ugly anymore, much to the little guy’s joy.

Xu Mumu couldn’t be bothered to scold the mischievous boy anymore; was his sister that good? Did he believe she would later have three or four sisters who would bother their brother?

Of course, she knew this was just a fantasy; even if she wanted to have that many, Yin Yang probably wouldn’t agree and would settle for just one more.

Even Lian Fengfeng, the uncle, really liked his niece. If she wasn’t so little, these two stinkers would’ve taken Yun Qiu out to play.

Every day when Xu Mumu went over, she saw him guarding the kids as if they were wolves, thinking they would take his daughter away.

Xu Mumu always found it amusing to see this scene; her brother had become so childish.

Looking at her niece, her facial features resembled Jiang Yuxiu’s, and she would certainly be a pretty girl in the future.

Sitting through the confinement period was uncomfortable for Jiang Yuxiu as the weather was getting hotter, and the room felt stuffy. Being a postpartum woman, she couldn’t have cooling breezes, just wiping herself with a handkerchief felt uncomfortable.

Xu Mumu, watching how her sister-in-law suffered, thought back to her own time of confinement, fortunately, it was cold then, so she didn’t suffer much.

But time passed quickly, and soon it was Little Yunqiu’s full-month celebration.

Xu Minghui planned a small full-moon banquet, inviting a few uncles from the Xu Family and relatives from Jiang Yuxiu’s side, and everyone had a lively meal together.

Jiang Yuxiu’s parents were relieved to see that the Xu family cherished their granddaughter so much. They had initially worried about gender preference in the Xu family, but thankfully it wasn’t the case.

Seeing the Xu family holding a full-month banquet for Yun Qiu, the Jiang family was quite pleased, and the relationship between the two families became even closer.

Xu Mumu played with Yun Qiu in the room, holding a rattle drum she brought for Yun Qiu. The rattle drum that Doudou used to play with was stored away, to show him when he’s grown.

Having bought a new drum, its crisp sound always caught the little girl’s attention.

"Mom, I want to play with my sister," Doudou said, eyeing the rattle drum in his mom’s hand eagerly.

"Sure, you can play with your sister, but don’t bring the drum too close; you might hit her. Understand?" Xu Mumu instructed gently.

"I got it," the little guy said, eager to try it out.

As soon as the rattle drum was in his hand, he started shaking it, and his sister’s pretty eyes followed it, making the little guy very excited.

Watching her child’s happy face, Xu Mumu let him play, while she started chatting with Jiang Yuxiu.

Looking at Yun Qiu with the exquisite silver bracelet on her wrist, Xu Mumu smiled; it was the one she had given.

"You have good taste; Yun Qiu looks lovely with this bracelet," Jiang Yuxiu noticed Xu Mumu’s gaze fall on her daughter’s wrist.

She couldn’t help but praise. The little sister-in-law really had great taste; the bracelet was so beautiful that Jiang Yuxiu planned to keep it even when Yun Qiu outgrew it, just for its aesthetic value.

"It’s the craftsman that Yin Yang introduced who’s the real talent. If you like it, let’s go together next time to have some jewelry made," Xu Mumu laughed, acknowledging that Yin Yang really knew people from all walks of life.
