Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Vivian Linton’s Faithful Henchman
Philip Payne breathed against Vivian Linton’s ear, overcome with desire.
Although Vivian Linton’s features weren’t as delicate as Holly Sinclair’s, her overall appearance was still quite attractive. She could pass for an innocent beauty.
Philip Payne was completely infatuated with her.
Every time they met, he would ravage her.
"Philip, you said you’d love me forever, didn’t you?"
Vivian Linton traced circles on Philip Payne’s chest, her voice a coy and seductive whisper.
"Of course!"
"Then do one thing for me..."
Vivian Linton leaned close to Philip Payne’s ear and whispered to him.
...
「Two days later.」
Holly Sinclair was running off her feet at her studio when she suddenly received a call from Mr. Quentin.
Mr. Quentin was her grandfather’s personal attendant.
"Miss Holly, you have to get to the hospital! Grandfather has collapsed!"
Hearing Mr. Quentin’s trembling voice, Holly Sinclair’s mind went completely blank.
She was completely stunned.
Her heart was thrown into a panic.
She didn’t know how she even got to the hospital.
Her eyes filled with tears, but she didn’t dare let them fall.
’Grandfather will be fine!’
She couldn’t bring him bad luck by weeping and wailing.
Running out of the elevator, Holly Sinclair rushed toward Mr. Quentin, who was pacing back and forth in front of the operating room.
"Mr. Quentin! How is Grandfather?"
She asked urgently, her voice trembling and broken.
She was scared.
There weren’t many people left who doted on her.
Her brother hadn’t woken up yet; she didn’t want to lose her grandfather too.
"He’s still in surgery..." Mr. Quentin’s old eyes were red, and he was just as worried.
Seeing Mr. Quentin like this, Holly Sinclair’s heart twisted as if a knife were being turned in it.
’It must be serious with Grandfather.’
"How could Grandfather have just collapsed like that?" ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
She stared at the closed doors of the operating room, desperately trying to suppress the panic in her heart.
"I accompanied Grandfather to the hospital for a check-up today. I was only gone for a moment to pick up some medicine, but when I came back, his face didn’t look right. He was all flushed and looked like he wanted to say something, but he collapsed before he could get the words out... It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have left his side..." Mr. Quentin recounted the events, blaming himself terribly.
Holly Sinclair knew it wasn’t Mr. Quentin’s fault, but right now, she was scared to death herself and simply couldn’t spare the energy to comfort anyone else.
Soon, Brandon Sterling, Tristan Sterling, and Vivian Linton arrived.
The moment she saw Vivian Linton, Holly Sinclair immediately rushed forward, spreading her arms to block Tristan Sterling and Vivian Linton.
"Get out!"
Her eyes were bloodshot as she glared fiercely at Vivian Linton and snarled.
"Holly, this is a hospital. I’m here to see Grandfather. What right do you have to tell me to get out?"
Vivian Linton instinctively hid behind Tristan Sterling, muttering defiantly in a small voice, playing the part of the wronged victim to perfection.
’There’s no way I’m leaving.’
’I have to stay and see if the old bastard has been angered to death.’
’I had Philip arrange for two nurses to deliberately tell the old bastard about Holly and Tristan’s messy divorce and all the bullying Holly has been through recently.’
’The old bastard really couldn’t take the shock.’
’He got so angry he ended up in surgery.’
’It would have been perfect if he’d just been angered to death.’
’Then all I’d have to do is drive Holly away, and I could take my seat as Madam Sterling.’
Vivian Linton cursed silently in her heart.
"Vivian Linton, get out now!"
Holly Sinclair gritted her teeth, the depths of her eyes turning to ice.
’Grandfather doesn’t like Vivian Linton.’
’What if Grandfather comes out in a little while, sees her face, and gets agitated again?’
She couldn’t allow anyone who might upset her grandfather to be here.
"What do you think you’re doing?"
Seeing Holly all worked up, Tristan Sterling frowned in displeasure.
"Make her leave. Grandfather doesn’t want to see her!" Holly looked at Tristan, her trembling voice even holding a hint of a plea.
At this moment, nothing was more important than her grandfather’s life.
"How do you know Grandfather doesn’t want to see me?"
Vivian Linton grew even more defiant. "Holly, it’s one thing for you to target me at every turn, but are you now going to stop me from showing my filial piety to Grandfather?"
"Filial piety?" Holly sneered. "Vivian Linton, forget filial piety. If you had even a shred of a conscience, you wouldn’t be here at all!"
"You—" Vivian Linton choked, her face turning pale and then livid. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Holly struggled to control her nearly collapsing emotions and looked at Tristan. "Tristan Sterling, you know Grandfather can’t handle any agitation. You also know he doesn’t like her. Can I please just beg you? Make her leave!"
Tristan Sterling thought Holly had a point.
Grandfather’s health was the most important thing.
He turned to look at Vivian Linton and said softly, "Vivian, you should—"
But just then, the door to the operating room opened.
A doctor walked out.
"Doctor, how is my grandfather?"
Holly couldn’t be bothered with driving Vivian away anymore and immediately rushed to the doctor, asking anxiously.
"The patient’s life is not in danger for the time being, but he is still in a coma," the doctor replied, taking off his mask.
Hearing that his life wasn’t in danger, both Holly Sinclair and Tristan Sterling let out a sigh of relief.
Their tense bodies relaxed slightly.
Meanwhile, a flash of disappointment crossed Vivian Linton’s eyes.
’He didn’t die?’
’That old bastard is tougher than I thought.’
"When will Grandfather wake up?" Tristan asked, his eyes also filled with worry.
The doctor said, "That’s uncertain. The situation doesn’t look optimistic at the moment, but we will do our best to treat him."
At these words, Holly’s whole body went weak, and she swayed on her feet.
"Holly!"
"Holly!"
Seeing that she was about to collapse to the floor, Tristan Sterling and Brandon Sterling reached out for her at the same time.
Tristan was faster.
But just as his hand touched her arm, she instinctively flung it away.
She didn’t control her strength, and the force of the movement made her stumble back two steps, right into Brandon Sterling’s arms.
Tristan’s face instantly darkened.
His gaze was like arctic ice, radiating a bone-chilling cold.
’Does she have a death wish?’
’How dare she choose Brandon again!’
’Does she even see me as her husband at all?!’
Brandon held Holly steady.
His actions were gentlemanly, without a trace of impropriety.
"What do you mean, not optimistic?" Holly choked out a sob.
She finally couldn’t hold it in any longer, and large tears began to stream down her face.
"Holly..." A look of restrained heartache flashed in Brandon’s eyes.
Holly was on the verge of a breakdown.
She was so scared.
Scared that her grandfather would never wake up again.
"Brandon, I’m so worried. What if something happens to Grandfather? He’s going to wake up, right? Right?" Holly asked, her eyes blurred with tears.
"Holly, don’t worry. Grandfather will be fine."
"How can I not worry? How can I not worry... Brandon, I want Grandfather to live a long and healthy life. I don’t want anything to happen to him..."
"Yes, I know, I know."
Brandon agreed repeatedly, his own heart aching to see her so distraught.
Coldly watching the two of them in an embrace, the rage in Tristan Sterling’s heart burned hotter and hotter.
Unable to bear it any longer, he strode forward.
He violently yanked Holly Sinclair out of Brandon Sterling’s arms.
"AH!"
Caught off guard, Holly slammed directly into his chest.
Her body was already weak with worry, and this collision made her even more unsteady.
Tristan Sterling swept her up into his arms.
