Chapter 734: Chapter 734: I Can Help You

The scandal was deadly for any actress, including Queenie.

But Todd stood out and told the public the baby Queenie conceived was his son. He decided to get married to Queenie.

The wedding was wonderful. Stuart also attended their wedding. Though Edie couldn’t arrive, she watched the whole process on the live show on TV. She was so happy for Queenie.

Since Queenie has already gotten married to Todd, she must know why she faked her death five years ago. So she didn’t talk much about that in front of Nina.

As expected, Nina nodded and smiled, "Yes, I’ve been married. I know you’ve also been married to Stuart. I feel so happy for you."

Now Edie didn’t see any sorrow or loneliness in Queenie’s eyes. Now insides Queenie’s eyes were peace and warmth. Edie thought she must lead a happy life with Todd.

This was enough for her.

Everyone had his or her own story and experience that he or she didn’t want to share with others. So Edie didn’t ask Queenie any more questions.

Edie laughed out, "It’s been a long time since we met each other last time. What about dinner together tonight? I have lots of words to tell you."

"Of course..."

As Queenie wanted to answer, Nina suddenly burst into laughter, "I am afraid not. Stuart might not agree. He must be so worried about his little wife. See, he’s already arrived here."

Edie was slightly shocked. Has Stuart already arrived here? But she didn’t get any call or text from him. Why did he finish the conference so quickly?

Edie turned around, seeing a strong, tall man standing at the door. It was Stuart.

Seeing this, Queenie didn’t make Edie feel difficult. So she said, "That’s all right, you can go back with him now. We can find another time."

After saying goodbye to Queenie and Nina, she walked to Stuart, "Why do you come so early? Have you finished your work?"

"Almost. I am so worried about you. So I come early. Get into the car. I would put all your staff in the car."

"I can help you."

"Get into the car. It is such a cold outside. I don’t want you to catch a cold. I would feel bad."

Stuart pressed his lips and smiled. Hearing this, Edie froze slightly.

Since when could Stuart say words like this?

Though Stuart was always frank, Edie could feel he was so sincere. Therefore, whatever he said, Edie didn’t feel awkward.

But what he said just now sounded really embarrassed.

Edie felt so uncomfortable.

As Edie froze still, Stuart already opened the car door for her.

He asked her to get into the car.

Edie got into the car without any hesitation. Stuart started taking all her staff inside the car.

She rubbed the chair back and the cushion which she sat on. Everything looked so familiar.

Soon, Stuart took everything in the trunk.

When he closed the trunk, Edie opened the door and got off.

Seeing this, Stuart squinted slightly, "What’s up? It is such a cold outside."

"I left something in the studio. I need to take it."Edie said in a calm voice. Then she turned around.

When she wanted to step into the studio, Stuart held her wrist and said, "What have you left insides? I can take it to you."

"My camera cap. Without that, the lens would be scratched easily. I forget where I place it. I need to look for it," Edie pretended to be anxious.

"Let’s go," Stuart said in a casual voice and stepped into the studio with Edie.

Edie’s hands slipped down slowly, and she held his hands. His hands were so cold. Edie felt so confused, "What happened to your hands? Why don’t you wear that red sweater I gave you before? You are so cold."

"Oh, I forget. I am in a hurry coming here to see you."

"Oh, I see. Could you look for it for me here? I need to use the bathroom. I will reward you if you find it. Otherwise, you should make an amendment for me."

Edie raised the corner of her mouth and showed a sweet smile. She held his hands and shook his hands slowly.

Stuart still looked so calm. Edie could see a flash of weird light in his black eyes.

As Edie turned around, he held her hands suddenly, "Give me your bag. It would not be convenient for taking it."

"Okay."

Edie passed him her bag without any hesitation. Then she took a box of tissue out and left.

Stuart looked at the purse on the table. After Edie disappeared in his sight, he immediately opened the purse to check. Edie had taken her mobile phone away.

Stuart frowned immediately. He didn’t know whether Edie had already conceived something. Therefore, he had no choice but approached the bathroom step by step at a slow speed.

Edie hid in the bathroom and called Stuart. But no one answered the call.

She immediately sent a text to him. Then she wanted to call Bella.

The man outside was not Stuart.

Because he lied, Edie never gave him any red sweater. Stuart would never be willing to wear any red sweater.

The man tried to handle her. But he failed.

Finally, she lost consciousness.

"Stuart," threw the rag asides and said angrily, "Fuck. Why is she so smart? Quite difficult to handle. I need to return back immediately. Someone might come to get in my way."

He started the engine and drove away.
