Chapter 699: Chapter 699: She Didn’t Want To Die
The elevator moved up quickly.
Looking at the display screen insides the elevator, Stuart’s heart kept trembling.
Laty was not in the mansion. When hearing that Edie said she had gone to the mansion to pick up Laty, Stuart immediately realized she was lying.
He tracked her mobile phone. But the sign of the phone disappeared suddenly. It took him five minutes to relocate her.
All he prayed, for now, was Edie was still fine now. He hoped everything was not too late.
Finally, the elevator stopped. He stepped out immediately. All of a sudden, those guards in black surrounded her.
Stuart held the gun and shot the guard.
However...
She heard two sounds of shooting. Another sound was from the box. Stuart got nervous immediately. After handling the guard at the door, he kicked the door of the box out. The box was such dark insides.
He saw Edie immediately cuddling at the corner. He immediately walked to her,
Deik drew the curtain, seeing everything in the room.
At a distance from where Edie lied was Victoria. She was shot at heart. Blood kept popping out from her heart. Her eyes were widened. It seemed that she wanted to say something. But when her mouth was opened, blood poured out of her mouth immediately. Her mouth was also filled with her blood.
Seen from her widened eyes, she has never been reconciled.
She couldn’t understand. She had taken all bullets out. Why could Edie still shot her?
She was not reconciled...
She didn’t want to die.
Deik threw an eye on her. Then he picked up her corpse, dragging it out of the box like garbage.
She didn’t close her eyes. She held the vase piece tightly. It was covered with blood. When scratching through the floor, it made an annoying sound.
At the moment, the wound on Edie looked more terrible. Blood kept oozing out from the wound on her forehead. Her little face was covered by red blood. Her face was injured. The wound was severe. Her arm was also pierced. Victoria did this. At the moment, Edie was dying. She fell in the blood, holding the gun tightly,
When Stuart held her body up, she felt so painful. It was too hard not to touch the wound on her body.
She felt so suffering that she frowned. But she was so weak that she couldn’t even groan out.
Her mouth was filled with blood. She couldn’t say a word. So she had no choice but kept pulling Stuart’s clothes.
Laty...
Laty was in there.
Stuart got her meaning. As he was about to kick the door open, Edie stopped him.
She swallowed the blood in her mouth and said in a weak voice...
"Don’t....don’t let her see me....she would be frightened..."
She felt so painful on her face. Blood kept falling down from her face, pouring into her mouth, wetting her cold lips.
Hearing these words, Stuart felt so painful for her.
He asked Deik to take Laty back. He drove Edie back to the hospital.
Sitting in the car, Edie kept trembling as if she was so cold.
He held her little hands with his big hands, feeling her body getting colder and colder. He wanted to warm her, but....it didn’t work this time.
"Edie, hold on. I don’t allow you to leave me now. Hold on, and we are just united. We haven’t registered our marriage. You’ve promised me you wouldn’t leave me again. You promised me you want to live with me. You’ve promised me you would make money for me. You would cook, take walks, enjoy the sunset and take vacation with me.... we still have a lot of things to do. We haven’t done anything, yes. You are not allowed to leave me now."
At the moment, Edie was still conscious. Looking at the man beside her saying those words like a helpless little child, she really wanted to comfort him. She wanted to open her hands to hold him into her arms.
But she was so weak now.
She felt so painful. Her body was covered with lots of wounds.
Her nerves kept twitching. She felt she might stop thinking the next moment.
She felt so cold. She wanted to hide into his arms to feel his warmth. But he was driving now.
She wanted to stop him. She wanted him to hug her tightly. She wanted to feel the smell on him. She wanted to feel his hot body. She wanted to hear the sound of his heart beating.
She really wanted to.
She was so afraid she would die. She would never be able to feel him then. She wanted to feel him before it was too late.
When she could still feel him.
Finally, she was sent to the hospital. Lots of doctors and nurses rushed to her and took her into the crash track. She was pushed into the operating room.
Stuart stayed with her to the door of the operating room. He didn’t lose her hands until he had to stop at the door.
Her hands were still so cold. When he loosened his hands, the cold wind blew into the corridor. Her hands covered with blood got colder.
Edie struggled to raise her hands, trying to retain him. But....the door was closed.
She finally gave up. She gradually got into a coma.
Edie didn’t know when she woke up. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in the corridor. All operating rooms were closed. Sometimes several doctors and nurses in a white coat would pass by.
They held a blood bag in their hands. They said the patient in No.2 operating room was in danger because of liver hemorrhage caused by an external force.
Out of curiosity, she walked to that room. She didn’t expect she saw Stuart there.
He stood there, staring into the room blankly, like one out of his mind.
Edie never saw him like this before. At the moment, he looked so fragile and depressed, like a taut string. He might break down the next moment. Though he stood there straightly, Edie thought she could destroy him with one finger.
At the moment, she was like a spliced vase. It would be cracked apart easily, like a breeze.
He stood at the door of the operating room. Who lied in there? Why did he care about so much?
"Stuart"
She called his name in a slight voice. Stuart turned around immediately as if he heard the thundering behind. He stared at her for a while.
But it seemed he was not looking at her. Instead, he was looking at the end of the corridor.
But there was nothing at the end of the corridor.
"Stuart, what are you looking at? I am here."
She waved her hands.
But Stuart turned his back to her. The door of the operating room was closed again.
At the moment the door was closed, he took off all his camouflage.
He leaned against the door, slipping down and finally squatting on the floor, ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
He closed his eyes slowly. Tears poured out from his eyes.
He... Was crying?
Edie froze. She wanted to comfort him. When seeing his crying, she felt so painful at the bottom of the heart. Finally, she squatted down in front of him and wanted to comfort him with her hands.
However...
Her hands went through his body.
She froze immediately, staring at her hands, confusingly. Suddenly, she realized something. She touched her arms and face. She didn’t find any wounds on her body.
She remembered she was injured. She was dying.
She suddenly realized something. She suddenly understood. She raised her eyes, looking towards the door of the operating room.
The patient in No.2 operating room...
Liver hemorrhage caused by external force...
The patient was her...
Because of what Victoria did to her?
So...she already died?
What could Stuart do now?
