Chapter 681: Chapter 681: So Attractive

Bette was so happy today. She didn’t expect all these. She didn’t expect she would hear Stuart and Edie calling her as "mom" again. She didn’t expect she would see such an adorable granddaughter.

She thought she had no chance to get a grandchild. She really never thought about this. She didn’t dare to dream of this.

The god might sympathize with her, so he made her dream come true.

She leaned her respectful body down to touch Laty’s head gently.

At the moment, she was not that determined, powerful vice president.

At the moment, she was just a lovely grandma.

Bette said in a gentle voice, "Laty...so lovely name. I assume you must be five years old, right? I have never see you before. I don’t know what you look like when you are just an infant. So magical. You’ve grown up...."

She murmured. Her eyes were filled with tears. She held Laty into her arms tightly.

"I finally could realize Alexander’s dream."

Bette has already known the real reason why her husband was killed. It was related to the business between L.N and the gang group. Her husband was selected out to sacrifice for the group to cover all those dirty trades with the gangsters.

Bette could not hate anyone. After all, those were all past long ago. What she needed to do was to accept this and take good care of her son.

Now, she got her son back and a grandchild. She was so happy. Even though she had to die now, she felt satisfied.

Because she finally realized her husband’s dream.

She got his family back together.

Stuart saw the scene. All of a sudden, he felt Bette had changed. Bette changed a lot.

As far as he could remember, Bette was always a gorgeous, powerful, determined woman. She was never weak, fragile, or old. But now, Stuart suddenly thought she got old. Even her hair got white.

Stuart hated her for so many years. Though he thought it might be late for him to apologize to her, he needed to do this.

Bette hugged Laty for quite a while. Then she turned around, looking towards Edie.

After hesitating for a while, Bette said to Edie, "Edie, could I ask you for a few minutes, alone?"

Edie nodded.

They walked to the balcony. Bette started talking slowly, "I didn’t expect you are still alive. Stuart is such a lucky guy. He doesn’t have to be alone anymore."

"Yes, I would stay with him from now on," Edie nodded slightly. Though her voice was low, Bette could feel her determination.

She sighed, "I didn’t expect that you are still willing to come back. After all, I...."

"Those were all past. If our mutual injuries were avenged on each other, we would not be able to get any happiness. I understand. I understand you and Tammie. You have your difficulties. I could understand. So, I forgive you."

Hearing these, Bette’s eyes turned red. She didn’t expect Edie to change a lot these years. After five years, Edie became more rational and considerate.

"I should apologize to your mother. If I know it will end like that, I would stop Tammie at any cost... I am sorry, Edie. It is my mistake. I am sorry."

Edie fell into silence for a while and then said in a serious voice, " I forgive you, on behalf of my mother. Let us end all hatred between us at this moment."

Hearing these words, Bette held Edie’s hands excitingly, "You are such a kind girl. Thank you...thank you..."

Edie smiled and said, "Laty is not familiar with this place, Mom. You are her grandma. Please help me show her around. I am also not quite familiar with this place now."

"Of course. I never dare to dream of being someone’s nanny. If you don’t come back, I beg Stuart might be alone for life. He wouldn’t get married to another woman. Let me cook lunch for you today. I am so happy today."

Bette cried in joy. She kept wiping her tears away.

So Bette cooked together with Stuart. Bette was the chief cook while Stuart helped her.

They focused on what they were doing. Though they didn’t say a word to each other, they could feel the warmth from each other’s eyes.

Brittany really wanted to change clothes for Laty. So she decided not to wait longer. She called to ask her man to take the children’s garments with the newest design to the house and then dragged Laty into her home to change her clothes.

Laty was never treated like this. Now, Laty out a white princess dress on her and clipped a hair card on her hair without even asking her permission. When seeing herself in the mirror, Laty immediately burst into tears.

"Wow...what’s wrong with you.... why so pussy?" fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Hearing Laty’s comment, Brittany rolled her eyes immediately, "You are a girl. Pay attention to your words, okay? Since you are Stuart’s daughter, you are supposed to accept orthodox aristocratic manners. Let me teach you, okay? I would make you look gorgeous every time and take you to your school. Everyone would be shocked by your beauty."

"Laty, don’t you dare to cut your hair. Long hair is so beautiful. It is more suitable for the dress. Wear your beach hat, and then I would take you to the beach on vocation: God, so pretty kid. I am so proud of you. Come on, baby, let me change your clothes."

"Aunt, are you obsessed with Barbie dolls in your childhood. Did you change the clothes for them every day?" Laty held on walls. Her legs were trembling hard.

"What? Why do you know? I am so talented at playing them. I am a super fan of them. I have lots of Barbie dolls. Do you like them? I can give them to you."

It was until this moment that Brittany realized how boring to play those dolls. She realized playing the baby girl in front of her was much more interesting now.

Seeing the expression on Brittany’s face, Laty suddenly wanted to burst into tears.

"No... Edie. Mom. Stuart. Dad. Please, help me out of here. This aunt is so scary...."

But no one threw an eye on her.

At noon, after lunch, Bette sat on the sofa, asking Edie about her life in these five years. She also told Edie what happened to the Yates. They were in such harmony that time flew.

In the evening, Stuart got out to take walks.

He arrived at the cafe house.

It was not time to drink coffee. The coffee house was empty. At the corner, Stuart saw a man in a black coat. He wore a hat and a pair of sunglasses. He was taking a sip of coffee.

Seeing Stuart, he raised the corner of his mouth, showing a tricky smile.

So charming. So attractive.

He took the glasses down, showing his long foxy eyes. Deep in those eyes was the craftiness of foxes.

He made a large smile and shouted out, "Stuart."

Stuart nodded to him, indifferently, "Hi."

"You don’t have to send those people to look for me. Anyway, if I don’t want to see you, you would never be able to find me. All right then, tell me now. Why do you want to see me?"

"Edie has come back."

"Edie?" Aaron was shocked. His hand holding the coffee cup trembled. The coffee poured out of the cup, burning his fingers.

But it seemed that he didn’t feel the pain.

Stuart added on purpose, "with my daughter."

"They were still alive? Where has she been these years? How did she food you? Was it...Norman?" Aaron didn’t hide his excitement and joy. He just asked those questions out directly, regardless of Stuart’s jealousy.
