Chapter 658: Chapter 658: You Are A Lucky Mommy
In all competitions, they won the first prize easily. It was as simple as breezing.
After finishing all tasks, Laty got lots of medals on her neck. Seeing those shining medals, Sophie could no longer move away.
Because Sophie really wanted to win that medal, she rushed to her dad in the first competition. But then she was distracted by the chocolate. She was so immersed in the taste of the chocolate that she forgot the contest.
She focused on enjoying the food. So finally she won nothing but food in her belly.
What would she feel if she won those medals? She really wanted to know. She was so curious about that.
Looking at her eyes fixing on Laty’s medals, Edie suddenly wanted to hug her and gave her a medal.
Anyway, Laty didn’t even care about those medals. She knew they were just an iron painted by golden color. They were worth nothing.
"Laty, give Sophie a medal, okay?"
"Okay, I don’t like them anyway," Laty took those medals off and passed them to Edie.
Edie gave them to Sophie. Sophie’s eyes started shining immediately. She took them in her arms carefully and then hung them on her neck.
She kept saying thank you to Edie. But she still stood there, fixing her eyes on the medal on Laty’s back.
"They look so heavy. You might be exhausted while hanging them on your neck."
Hearing these words, Edie burst into laughter. Sophie was such an adorable girl. She looked so cute no matter what she was eating or talking. She looked fatty.
Though she looked a little confused about everything around her, Edie thought she was quite smart and quite good at getting along with others.
"Laty, could you give them to Sophie?"
"Well, here you are."
Laty took another medal off and gave it to Sophie. But Sophie still stood there still.
"Laty didn’t like those medals. It would be hard for you to take them. I could help you solve the problem."
Hearing these words, Edie laughed more happily.
This little fatty girl was such an adorable girl.
Edie knew Laty didn’t like those medals, so she wanted to ask her to give Sophie one more. But unexpectedly, before she said anything, Stuart took all the medals off and gave them to Sophie, "Laty already said she could give them all to you."
"Really? You are so kind."
Edie took the medals and wore them on Sophie’s neck.
Laty was speechless, "When did I say that?"
"See, your mother looks so happy." freewebnσvel.cѳm
Stuart fixed his eyes on Edie without even throwing an eye on Laty. Edie’s smile made him feel so warm at the bottom of the heart.
"But....those are my medals." Laty crossed her hands on her chest. She looked so annoying.
"What do you want?" Stuart looked towards her and asked.
"What do I want" Laty rolled her eyes. Many students were licking an ice stick. It was so hot now.
Laty smiled towards Stuart and said, "Let’s go. You need to buy something for me to make up for me."
At the same time, Edie was talking to Sophie’s parents.
"Laty is so incredible. Sophie always talks about Laty with us. She says that she is so smart. She knows everything her teacher tells them. You are a lucky mommy."
"Thank you so much. I think Sophie might be the only girl that can put up with Laty’s bad temper. I really appreciate it."
"Is that man your husband? We didn’t see him before at the parents’ meeting. Sophie said, you are divorcing before. You’ve settled it, right? Your husband loved you deeply, I think. I see his eyes fixing on you. His eyes were shining with light. I couldn’t believe you’ve married for such a long time. You looked like a couple falling in crazy love. Laty is such an adorable kid. She was like her dad in characteristics, and like you in appearance. You are such a perfect family. Why do you want to divorce your husband?"
Hearing these words, Edie felt a little embarrassed. She didn’t know how to explain such complicated situations to this parent, "We’ve reconciled with each other again. Don’t worry."
"Laty’s mother, I was so busy several days ago, so I failed to take food to my kid. So Laty gave her some food. You also took good care of my kid. Because of your fruit salad and biscuit, Sophie already started avoiding dishes I cook for her. These two kids were good friends. They might be classmates for a long time. Can we make friends? Do you have free time this weekend? Allow me to invite you to my house—three of you. Come to my house. I would make delicious food for you. Okay?"
"What? Oh, that is so kind of you. I never did anything for Sophie. You don’t have to do this."
’Please. My wife has talked about this for several days. She really wants to invite you to express our appreciation. If you refuse, she might complain to me that I never care about our daughter."
Sophie’s father is a simple and honest man. He was about thirty-year-old, with a round belly. He looked nice.
"Shut your mouth up," Sophie’s mother said towards the dad and then turned towards Edie.
As Edie was hesitating, someone placed a basket filled with ice cream.
All kinds of ice cream.
The man taking the basket looked so calm. He gave those ice cream out and said, "Taste it. Quite delicious."
When Laty took one and gave it to Sophie, Sophie was so moved that she even wanted to get married to Laty.
"Why do you buy lots of these?" Edie asked him in shock.
"I never ate them before. Quite delicious. So I bought them all. This is the best. I have tried it. Here you are. This is for you."
He said in a calm voice and passed the ice cream to her.
Hearing his words, Sophie’s mother was surprised, "You never ate them before?"
Stuart nodded.
He thought it was quite reasonable. After all, he was born into a noble family. He was a nobleman. Besides, he had stomach trouble. How could he eat this junk food? Even he wanted to eat this, and he would ask his cooks to make it, with high-quality ingredients.
Seeing the expression on their face, Edie knew they might think a lot. She asked Stuart to go away immediately, "Ask others whether they want. Stop eating this. You have stomach trouble."
Stuart was surprised. He didn’t know she still remember he had stomach trouble. All of a sudden, he was touched deeply.
Now, even the ice cream was so delicious. He would no longer touch them.
"Okay then, go on. I would come here later."
Stuart smiled slightly. Everyone seeing his smile was distracted for seconds.
Though neither Stuart nor Edie explained to each other, both of them knew they could get along well with each other because of Laty.
But they were really familiar with each other. They would feel warm at the bottom of the heart while staying with each other. Though for Laty, they needed to pretend sometimes, they really cared about each other.
Stuart turned around and left. After he left, Sophie’s mother asked Edie immediately, ’Laty’s mother, please forgive me for saying this.... but what’s your husband’s problem?"
She pointed at her brain. Apparently, she meant Stuart might have some problems in his brain.
Hearing this, Edie was amused, "His parents were so strict with him. Besides, he had stomach trouble. So he never ate this kind of food before. Don’t make fun of him. I am free this weekend. Call me when you decide the exact time, okay?"
"Saturday. At noon. Because my husband needs to work at night, okay with you?"
"Okay. We would come."
Then they changed their number. Then Edie went to find Stuart. She saw everyone in the class held an ice-cream. Everyone said that she was so lucky to get married to such a handsome, smart man.
Edie’s handsome husband attracted even that young mother quarreling with her in the fitting room. She kept admiring Stuart as if she was the one that got married to Stuart.
