Chapter 634: Chapter 634: I Would Get Revenge For Him

"I don’t know why he was killed, either. When Ellison found him, he already died. I promise I would get revenge for him. I would tie the murderer up and take him to you. You can do whatever you want to him."

His voice sounded low and cold. He squeezed those words one by one as if it was so hard for him to talk.

At this moment, Edie’s mind had already in a mass. She was in such a mass that she couldn’t notice something wrong with Stuart.

She didn’t know why she suddenly recalled what she saw at William’s castle.

She stood upstairs, seeing a man being shot. The blood poured out, wetting the floor. The dead man was dragged out.

"How...how did he die?" Edie asked.

"Shot," Stuart said in a powerful voice.

She kept thinking about what she saw at William’s castle. It kept hurting her heart, like a sharp knife. Her head started aching hard. She couldn’t think about anything at the moment. It was too painful.

Her emotion kept swinging. Stuart held her shoulder and led her into the room immediately. Then he poured a glass of warm water for her.

"If it is too hard for you to accept this, take a nap. You would feel better after waking up," Stuart comforted her in a gentle voice. He kept rubbing her hair with his big hands.

It really worked.

Edie gradually calmed down. Her tears were full of tears. She looked at Stuart while trembling, "Really? Could I find nothing ever happens after I woke up?"

"Yes, I never lie to you."

Hearing his answer, Edie held her tears back immediately. She covered herself into the quilt.

She knew clearly that Stuart was lying to her. Aaron was killed. Aaron died. This was true. This was a reality. He left this world forever.

He was lying to her. But she was willing to listen to him.

This time, she fell asleep.

In the dream, she returned back to that uniquely designed Gothic building. It was marvelous. But she saw the color of blood.

Blood...

Blood was running everywhere. The building swallowed him completely.

She wanted to escape away. But suddenly she saw Aaron standing at the door. She was so happy that she couldn’t say a word to him. She wanted to chase after him. But she saw another man standing at the door.

He stood there straightly, lifting the gun and pointing at Aaron exactly.

The man he saw the other day was Aaron. His back looked so familiar. It was him.

She covered her mouth in shock, watching what happened there. She yelled out, "Run. Run away."

But she couldn’t make any sound, as if she was trapped in a cage. All she could do was standing there, seeing Aaron being killed.

Don’t. Don’t shoot him. Please, don’t shoot him...

She prayed in silence. But she still heard the sound of shooting.

The bullet flew through Aaron’s heart. Blood shot out of his body immediately.

Aaron stared at the man in front of him, unbelievably. He was frightened and shocked. He couldn’t say one more word. He fell down finally, in the blood.

The blood looked so heated and scary, like the most shining rose.

Then, two guards stood out, dragging Aaron out, like dealing with a bag of rubbish.

Edie burst into tears. Looking at the back in her sight, she finally shouted out,

"Why...why do you kill him? Why?"

It seemed that the killer sounded her. He...turned towards her slowly.

"Edie."

Looking at the expression on Edie’s sleeping face, Stuart got so worried. Edie looked so suffering.

Edie woke up from her dream. She held Stuart’s hands immediately and told him, "I know. I know who killed Aaron."

Hearing these words, Stuart’s face changed immediately.

Edie was also there when he killed Aaron. Did she perceive something? Has she found something?

He held the fist tightly. Blue veins popped out, hiding his nervousness.

He squinted. His eyes were scary. His voice was low and terrified. He asked in reply, "Who?"

"William, right?" she held his hands tightly. But she found he was more nervous than her. He looked a little scary now as if he could break her fingers next second.

He also wanted to know who killed Aaron, didn’t he?

"He was killed in William’s house, on the lawn. I heard the gun. I looked down to see what happened downstairs. I saw a man who was dragged away. I’ve been so stupid. I didn’t see it at the beginning. If I knew, I would stop him immediately. I might rescue him at that moment."

Edie was so regretful. Tears poured out from her eyes.

Stuart finally took a relief. He asked her cautiously, "So you didn’t see the killer?"

"I didn’t see the killer. Even if it was not William, it must be his man. Otherwise, I couldn’t think of anyone else. Who dared to kill Aaron. You are also there, right? Don’t you see the killer?"

"No, I didn’t see it, either." he gave a brief answer.

Edie could no longer control her fear. She held Stuart tightly, burying her small head into his pseudo-natural foveae, breathing the air mixed his smell. His smell could help her calm down.

Tears...wet his shirt.

"Stuart, I am so fearful. This is nothing like what I’ve imagined. Aaron was killed. He left us forever. Please promise me, protect yourself. You need to be alive. Stay with us and protect us. Please don’t be killed."

"Okay. I will be fine. I will stay with you forever. I promise."

Stuart said word by word as if he was making the sincerest promise in his life.

Edie cried so hard that she was almost out of breath. But she still hugged Stuart tightly. She was so worried. If she loosened him, he might also disappear.

The news of Aaron’s death quickly spread throughout the whole country. The funeral was solemn. On the day, Stuart attended the funeral with her.

Edie wore a black vero moda, with a white rose on the chest. Everyone attending the funeral looked solemn and sad.

Because of Rose Mareau, they didn’t sit on the first row. Instead, they all stood at a distance.

In the church, Edie saw Aaron’s corpse in the coffin. It was covered with rose smelling like death. Catholic nuns surrounding was praying for him to make him go the heaven.

When those nuns passed away with the coffin, Edie saw that face. That attractive, charming face looked pale and cold at the moment. Edie was freezing.

He was dead, totally. Edie couldn’t even find a trace of life from him. He lay in the coffin, like a statue, in silence.

His hands crossed on his chest. He wore a black suit, like what he wore when she saw him for the first time. She never expected that when she saw this suit again, he already died.
