Chapter 626: Chapter 626: He Wanted To Live A Happy Life
Aaron hung two hands down on the waist. He held his hands into fists. Blue veins popped out. Those joints looked scarier.
He was so angry. But he found no reason to release his anger.
Aaron squinted. In his eyes were coldness. He stared at Stuart viciously.
"Because she likes you. So I couldn’t win her heart. I am willing to give up to satisfy you. But I don’t agree with you throwing her in danger. Instead, I want you to take good care of her, to love her. But what have you done?"
Aaron pressed his anger and roared in a low voice in the meeting room.
The sound kept lingering in the room.
Stuart raised his eyebrows. His eyes looked complicated. But that complicated expression disappeared immediately. It was too quick to capture.
"She’s my wife. I would take care of her. I don’t need anyone to teach me."
"I see..." Aaron sneered after hearing Stuart’s answer, "So this is the way how you take care of her, right? By throwing her to that killer’s arms. I still remember, his sister Julia was still in deep love with you. You know clearly what kind of girl she is. It is impossible for Edie to win her. Don’t you worry about her? Safe place? What kind of safe place? Bullshit!"
Aaron roared out and padded on the table. He was so angry that the blue veins popped out.
The safest place for Edie was his own house. The girl he loved should be under his protection. He would worry about her all the time if she leaves him. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
The idea came into his mind and grew up crazily.
"I know what I am doing. If you don’t have anything else, please leave now." Stuart said in a casual voice as if he didn’t notice Aaron’s anger.
Aaron got madder. He couldn’t stand this attitude.
It irritated him more.
Stuart always took this attitude, as if he was the more powerful and strongest man in the world. No one worth his attention. In the past, Aaron admired him. But....now, he hated him, really hated him.
Aaron thought he was like a clown sparing no effort to play in front of him. But he never threw an eye on you, as if he didn’t care about you at all. So he would never be bothering to look at you.
Aaron shouted out angrily, "Stuart, I am talking to you? Could you please show some respect?"
"But you’ve finished. You are bothering me now." Stuart lowered his head to handle the report. He said at a normal speed. But it seemed that he got a little angry.
Apparently, he was a little annoyed by Aaron’s bothering.
Annoyed...
He really dared to be annoyed.
Aaron held his fist tightly and straightened his back, "All right then. I can talk about the business. Now I am one of the directors of the group. I am also a Harions. I have the right to talk about something, right?"
"Go on," Stuart said in a cold voice as if he was negotiating.
"All right. Could you tell me why Mr. Harions bought many shell companies? If the government found this, L.N would get into big trouble. Don’t you see it?"
Aaron didn’t know that most important files were kept as a secret by Ellison. No one else knew. Therefore, he didn’t know the operation of these shell companies, who used this money and who ran these companies. But he was sure of one point, and those operations were illegal.
Only companies that wanted to deck or evade tax would do that kind of thing.
Besides, it was hard to avoid investigation from the policeman to the company when it acquired too many firms. What the hell was Stuart doing?
Aaron was willing to give up the position as the president of the group because he believed that Stuart could expand the business of L.N and make the group more influential. He didn’t want him to do these crap.
"This is the decision of the senior layer of the group. You don’t have to know this. We would tell the public when necessary. You can leave now," Stuart said. He didn’t even stop writing his name on the contract. freewebnσvel.cøm
"Don’t forget to close the door," Stuart added one more sentence.
Aaron frowned. He could no longer put up with this. He walked to him and threw his files on the floor. Then he lifted the collar of his clothes.
His clean flat shirt became wrinkled immediately.
"Stuart, do you think I can do nothing more than softening you up?" Aaron asked him angrily.
"You don’t look like that now," Stuart lowered his eyes and swept his hands to remind Aaron what he was doing at the moment.
Even Aaron caught his collar and remained so calm as if he didn’t care about it.
His eyes looked so cold and indifferent, like a cup of water, tasteless and dull, like anybody else, as if he never cared about anybody.
Aaron’s been struggling for so many years, trying to make Stuart regard him as an opponent by fair means or fool. But he never achieved the goal. Never. Stuart never really paid attention to him. He didn’t even throw an eye on him.
Was he really so weak in front of him?
"Stuart, maybe I am wrong. Maybe I was wrong at the very beginning. When Edie stayed with me, I should have held her tightly. I shouldn’t send her to you. Since they’ve selected me as the president, no matter how they decided, I should have accepted it and hold it tightly. When you are injured, I shouldn’t help you bear the family’s punishment. I should let you die."
"If you die, I will be absolutely the happiest one."
Aaron said, squeezing those words one by one from his teeth.
His sound was filled with hatred. The atmosphere inside the office room froze immediately. It became so weird at the moment.
Hearing these words, Stuart frowned slightly. His voice turned cold, "All right. You can announce this after I die."
"I wound. I swear I will kill you one day."
He loosened his collar and stepped back and started swearing, "I would take Edie away from you. I am the one that was supposed to give her happiness. Not you. You are heartless. You would never be able to understand how hard for others to chase after the better one. You would never understand that. From now on, I would never give up. I would never lose anything to you. Girls, positions, and money. I would win it all."
Aaron said in a cold voice, and then he left.
The meeting room fell into dead silence again.
Stuart sat on the rolling chair. He turned around, enjoying the sightseeing out of the window. The light was shining, outlining the shape of the city. Night in the winter looked mysterious and dreamful, as well as cold and brutal.
He saw the image in the mirror. He looked so embarrassed.
Certainly, he knew where Edie was. He knew William’s plan and goals. Edie was the best choice for William to control him. William couldn’t miss this chance.
Because of this, Edie was safe now.
Currently, many people were spying on him. He should be careful and cautious all the time because now he represents the whole L.N. group. If he fails, like his father, he might die forever.
He couldn’t die, at least not now. He couldn’t follow his father’s steps. He wanted to live a happy life with Edie.
This idea kept entangling his heart, like a poisonous plant. It was killing him and encouraging him at the same time. If he was careless, he might die.
In the darkness, his black eyes became dimmed and scary.
