Chapter 598: Chapter 598: I Love Her For No Reason

Hicks finally got the freedom to stand up. But she was so shocked by the truth she heard just now that she failed to stand up. It was really freezing

She tumbled to Stuart and looked at his handsome face. Though she looked pale, that didn’t influence his elegant quality. She’s been staying with him for such a long time. He never fell in love with her. But she was fooled completely.

Why...?

Why? Even this was just her dream, and it was too short. Could it be prolonged a little bit?

Why did he tell her the truth now?

Why was he so brutal to her? ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Hicks burst into tears. She lifted her trembling hands to try to approach him. But he avoided it.

"I can send you back to A now. You can be an actress. I can also fund you. You could continue the contract with The Universe Entertainment. If you want something else, I can also try my best to help you."

"Stuart... I believe you know what I want." she showed a ridiculing smile. She still wanted to approach him.

Stuart stood up. His eyes were so cold.

Since he didn’t have to disguise himself, he wouldn’t hide his disgusting feeling. It was apparent that he hated her.

The only girl that could touch the man in front of her was Edie Lara. As for her sister, they did nothing more than hugging and holding hands.

Did she really believe she had such an honor?

"Stuart, don’t you want to know the man behind? Noble’s made you suffer a lot. Don’t you want to know the man behind him?"

Hearing her question, Stuart frowned.

He wanted to know who was behind. But he didn’t want to touch her again.

"Tell me what you want from me."

"Sleep with me," Hicks said directly, "I am not Marina. I’ve never been raped. I could give you what my sister could never give you."

She walked to Stuart and hugged him tightly. But he escaped. She fell against the wall. Hicks’s eyes turned red.

"No man hated sex. I like you. I won’t ask you to take responsibility for me. Would it be good to have a sex partner? I have a sexy body and a pretty face. Don’t you like it?"

She roared at him angrily. Tears kept falling down from her face. She really couldn’t understand why she lost the game. She was much better than Edie. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"Don’t compare me with other men. The only girl I want is Edie."

His eyes were sharp, fixing on Hicks.

"I would never betray Edie. Guards, send Miss Days to A."

Then, he turned around and walked to the door.

Hicks’s voice was trembling, "Actually... I don’t know the man behind. I’ve only contacted Mr. Sunny. His influence didn’t cover A. It was not Noble’s men that kidnapped Aaron. I heard Mr. Sunny calling him before. He also needed to follow others’ arrangements. So I guessed there must be someone behind him. But that’s just my guessing. I am not sure. Though I know you don’t love me, I couldn’t see you being trapped in danger."

"Thank you."

Stuart threw an eye on her and left.

"Wait," As Stuart was about to walk out of the door, Hicks shouted out. She looked so fragile at the moment, "Could...could you tell me? Why Edie? Why do you love her? Why other girls? Why was she the only girl that could touch you."

Stuart froze.

"No reason. I love her."

Then, he left without any hesitation.

Actually, he didn’t know why, either.

He couldn’t even tell the exact time when he fell in love with her. Perhaps when they had sex for the first time, or when they moved together.

All in all, he fell in love with her for no reason.

He was a lonely man. He didn’t think he was afraid of being lonely. When staying with Marina before, he felt so comfortable. She was a gentle girl. She seldom asked for anything from him. She had her own life.

They lived in the same house without bothering each other. He thought it was love. He thought it was love that could last for life.

But when he met with Edie, he realized he never took Marina as his girlfriend. Stuart regarded her as his friend and soul mate. He appreciated her for her saving him.

It was Edie that gave him the feeling of love.

Edie would ask him to go to the supermarket with her. She would make food when feeling hungry and ask him whether he was also starving when he stayed up to work. She would wait for him, even though she was exhausted.

His little wife was a naughty girl. Sometime, she might even make trouble out of nothing. When in a good mood, she would say sweet words to him. If getting angry, she would swear at anyone.

If she was wronged, she would never show weakness. She would spare no effort to revenge, though she was so weak.

She dared to love and hate. She was so talkative. It was such a girl that dragged him from the hell of loneliness.

He loved all aspects of her. She could be naughty, considerate, or lovely. Whatever she became, he would always love her.

With her around, he didn’t ask for more.

He didn’t realize he never enjoyed loneliness until he met Edie. He likes spending time with Edie. That was all.

When Hicks asked him, Stuart suddenly missed Edie so much. At the moment, all he wanted to do was to see Edie.

When Stuart went back to his ward, he didn’t see Edie there.

She was enjoying the sunlight on the chair on the lawn. When hearing David’s voice, she turned around immediately. She saw another man standing aside. It was Aaron.

It has been a week since she saw him. He became much thinner.

"Aaron? What are you doing here?" David didn’t know Aaron stood here to look at Edie secretly. So he asked him directly.

"Visit someone."

Aaron saw Edie’s turning around. He walked out and walked towards her.

Edie stood up. She felt the man in front of her had changed. She could no longer see his naughty smile. The black suit made him look so serious. That makes Edie feel uncomfortable."

"You....you look much slimmer..." Edie said in a low voice, "Bad appetite? Are you too tired of working? Too much work to do?"

"Don’t worry. I am fine. That won’t kill me."

For Aaron, nothing is dangerous if it didn’t threaten his life.

Edie didn’t like what he said.

She frowned, "Take care of yourself. If you don’t care about your health, no one would care. David is here. Why don’t you let him check you?"

"Edie, stop worrying about me, please," Aaron begged Edie in a painful and desperate voice.

"What??" Edie froze.

Aaron answered in a heavy voice, "your concern is my sin."

Every time Aaron looked at Edie’s face, he would recall what his mother said several days ago. It almost became a curse on him.

Edie stood there blankly, staring at Aaron. Finally, she stepped back, lowered eyes, and took a deep breath, "I am sorry. I would fade out of your life. Thank you for what you’ve done for me these days."

Then, she turned around and left. Aaron stood there. He didn’t dare to turn around. He was afraid of falling into the hell of sin. He was afraid that he would do something unforgivable.

As the sound of Edie’s step faded down, they were farther and farther away from each other.
