Hicks’s voice was trembling, "Actually... I don’t know the man behind. I’ve only contacted Mr. Sunny. His influence didn’t cover A. It was not Noble’s men that kidnapped Aaron. I heard Mr. Sunny calling him before. He also needed to follow others’ arrangements. So I guessed there must be someone behind him. But that’s just my guessing. I am not sure. Stuart threw an eye on her and left.

Stuart froze.

"No reason. I love her."

Then, he left without any hesitation.

Actually, he didn’t know why, either.

But when he met with Edie, he realized he never took Marina as his girlfriend. Stuart regarded her as his friend and soul mate. He appreciated her for her saving him.

It was Edie that gave him the feeling of love.

Edie would ask him to go to the supermarket with her. She would make food when feeling hungry and ask him whether he was also starving when he stayed up to work. She would wait for him, even though she was exhausted.

His little wife was a naughty girl. Sometime, she might even make trouble out of nothing. When in a good mood, she would say sweet words to him. If getting angry, she would swear at anyone.

When Hicks asked him, Stuart suddenly missed Edie so much. At the moment, all he wanted to do was to see Edie.

"Visit someone."

Aaron saw Edie’s turning around. He walked out and walked towards her.

Edie stood up. She felt the man in front of her had changed. She could no longer see his naughty smile. The black suit made him look so serious. That makes Edie feel uncomfortable."

"You....you look much slimmer..." Edie said in a low voice, "Bad appetite? Are you too tired of working? Too much work to do?"

For Aaron, nothing is dangerous if it didn’t threaten his life.

Every time Aaron looked at Edie’s face, he would recall what his mother said several days ago. It almost became a curse on him.

Edie stood there blankly, staring at Aaron. Finally, she stepped back, lowered eyes, and took a deep breath, "I am sorry. I would fade out of your life. Thank you for what you’ve done for me these days."

Then, she turned around and left. Aaron stood there. He didn’t dare to turn around. He was afraid of falling into the hell of sin. He was afraid that he would do something unforgivable.

As the sound of Edie’s step faded down, they were farther and farther away from each other.
