Chapter 516: Chapter 516: Are You Pregnant?

Hicks just had a look around the dining room. Like a woman of the house, she commented on things she didn’t like. She could replace everything she didn’t like. She was enjoying it, but then she heard a disgusting voice.

She came out and looked at Edie’s angry little face. She turned her eyes and suddenly said, "What’s the matter? How desperate are you? Looking at children’s photos every day... Are you pregnant?"

Hicks didn’t know that when she was saying this, a man upstairs listened quietly, and his eyes darkened.

When Edie heard this, she said calmly, "it’s none of your business!"

Even though her relationship with Hicks was okay in the past, when she saw Hicks and Stuart together at the airport, their previous relationship had been completely broken.

Hicks was pissed off. She walked towards Edie and said angrily, "Edie, shame for you. Stuart would divorce you soon. So brave for you to come here again.

Edie swept across Hicks top to down. Hicks felt uncomfortable.

"This is who you are, right? You must be really tired of pretending to be another woman."

Hicks was a little shocked. She raised her head, "only losers cared about approaches. All the success would do was to enjoy the happiness they reached."

Edie sneered, "Hicks, shame for you. I believe you might lose your parents so early. They didn’t even teach you anything about shame and guilt. Stuart and I are legally couples. Why the hell could you come here and talk these bullshit to me? I haven’t divorced that man. Do you remember this?"

Edie looked much more powerful than Hicks at the moment.

She fought not just for herself. She now had a baby inside.

She believed she should fight to get what she wanted.

If she lost Stuart, where the heck could her baby find its daddy?

So, she must get Stuart back.

Hicks frowned. She never saw Edie liked this. Edie looked fragile and weak before.

Hicks raised the corner of the mouth, showing a ridiculing smile, "Your marriage would end soon, in several hours. 3 o’clock this afternoon. What do you say?"

"Who told you I agreed with the divorce?" Edie threw an eye on her as if the woman standing in front of her was an idiot.

She said happily as if she was just a naughty kid who finally got revenge.

Hicks was so painful that tears oozed from her eyes. She wished to throw Edie out immediately.

Edie stared at her,

"Don’t slap others randomly. You might not be able to afford it."

Then, she threw the breast-pin into the trash bin then wiped her hands with a towel.

She acted like Hicks was a horrible virus.

Then she stood up from the sofa, "Miss Day is our guest. Treat her properly. Got that?"

She said in a flat voice. But every servant all replied immediately,

"Yes, Mrs. Yates."

Then, Edie threw an eye on Hicks and turned around, walking upstairs.

Hicks looked at her back. Edie stood on the stairs, looking like the goodness of victory.

Shit.

How could she do this?

Hicks held the first tightly. She couldn’t control her anger.

She would definitely make Edie pay for this.

Edie led the servant holding the photo frame to the bedroom.

"Wait, give me. You can leave now."

Edie held the photo frame.

She felt frightened when the servant left. She was alone.

She knew Stuart was in there.

She could be as strong as a tiger in front of Hicks. But she couldn’t pretend in front of Stuart.

Before getting into the room, Edie took a deep breath.

Stuart was reading her book on the bed.

He asked, "are you pregnant?" But he didn’t raise the head.

"No. You’ve been busy. We don’t have time to have a baby. But I really want a baby, so I asked people. They told me to hang lots of baby’s pictures in the house, and then my dream would come true. So I do what he told me to do. He also gave me these books."

Edie lied so seriously.

Then she walked to him, putting all books into the basket.

Stuart raised his eyes and looked towards Edie. She was smiling. Her eyes looked like a gorgeous moon in the sky.

"Edie...." He wanted to spell her name.

"Edie Lara. I am your wife. All you have to remember. It’s okay that you don’t remember me. Maybe one day, you can recall your memory, and I hope we still have a chance to build our family," She said gently, but she almost broke into tears while looking at her husband. She wanted to tell him that he was madly in love with her before.
