Stuart lifted and kissed her hands.
The electrocardiogram was still fluctuating, but Eddie remained the same.
As the second’s pass, Stuart’s already waited by the bed for a whole day. But he didn’t see any trace that Eddie would wake up.
Bette also waited out of the ICU for a whole night. They couldn’t fall asleep.
Looking at Stuart sitting by the bed from the window, Bette felt heartache.
He was just like his father. They were both serious and strict. But in front of the girl they cared about, they became so fragile.

He didn’t allow Eddie to leave him. He would never allow her to die.
He looked around. He was put on a drip.
Reminding Eddie must be scared in that cold ward alone, he pulled off the drip and rushed out immediately.
He didn’t expect there’s another man there. The man was bending down. He wanted to take Eddie’s mask off.
Stuart squinted. He pulled the man’s shoulder and threw him away.
Aaron Yates gulped.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Stuart questioned him.
Aaron stood up. That playful smile disappeared from his face. At the moment he looked serious, calm and dangerous,
"Stuart, you are such a loss. You could neither protect Marina nor Eddie. See, she was now lying on the bed. It is all your fault."
He heard the news in the afternoon. Bette sent someone to tell him the wedding had been canceled. So Aaron thought something bad might happen to Eddie.
Because no one could and dared to hurt Stuart, but hurting Eddie was really easy.
He immediately sent his men to investigate. As expected, Eddie was in a deep coma in the hospital. Her belly was wounded badly.
He didn’t know until now that he already fell in love with Eddie. He didn’t know the reason.

Aaron threw Stuart to the wall,
"If you die, Eddie would be safe. I would take good care of her."
