Chapter 390: Chapter 390: Don’t Lay One Finger On Her
Aaron didn’t even look at the phone. He just tossed it aside and said, "Why even bother?"
Stuart raised his voice and ordered, "Pick up the phone!" Then he lowered his head and adjusted his clothing. "You threatened me with my wife. Now it’s payback." His voice was cold and harsh.
Aaron looked at him, curiously. "What have you done?" he asked, his voice quivering a little. He clicked on the phone and looked at the picture. There was a woman in a dark room with a blindfold over her eyes. His pupils shrunk to nothing, and a feeling of utter terror swept over him. Blue veins stood out on his thin wrists as he clenched his fists. Then he threw the phone on the floor and yelled, "What the hell have you done to my mother?"
Aaron was furious and jumped off the bed and plunged forward. He grabbed Stuart’s by the collar of his shirt. "Let her go!" he shouted in a feeble voice.
Stuart remained calm. He understood how Aaron felt, but this was his punishment. "Aww. So pitiful looking. Aren’t you? Now you have to know how I felt when you kidnapped my wife. It’s a terrible feeling, isn’t it?" His tone was bitter as he spoke these words.
Aaron fell to his knees and begged, "Please....don’t do this."
Stuart lowered his head. Taking a deep breath, he said in an emotionless voice. "I told you, I would pay you back for what you did. You do what you want to me, but you never ever touch my wife. Do you understand?" he said, each word cold and sharp as winter ice.
"Don’t you lay one finger on her, or I’ll kill you. It’s between you and me and has nothing to do with her," Aaron shouted hysterically. freewebnøvel.com
"Is that not what I asked of you?" Stuart said in a low and dangerous tone. He grabbed Aaron’s shirt and pulled him up from the floor, so he was looking into his eyes and said, "Whatever happens between us, no one else was supposed to be involved. You chose your own path and didn’t listen to me. Now you must suffer the consequences." Stuart let go of Aaron’s shirt, and Aaron took one step back and fell onto the bed.
Aaron could feel tears brought by fear beginning to form at the corner of his eyes. His heart was banging like a drum, and his hands were trembling. He was suddenly overwhelmed with emotions. Fear and confusion flooded his brain. The feeling grew until Aaron felt as if he’d drown in a flood tide of emotion. He closed his eyes. ’Get yourself together,’ he told himself over and over again. He took a long deep breath and opened his eyes. He grinned at Stuart, and a look of pure evil was on his face. "You’ve changed over the years. I’ve never seen this side of you before, but I have to admit, I like it. What made you become this way?" he asked with an eerie tone.
"That’s not of your business," Stuart shot back quickly.
Aaron turned around slowly and stared at Stuart, and his face was white, his eyes very dark. He scowled at him. "Perhaps I know the reason. You and your mother aren’t very close, are you?" he sneered. "There’s been a lot of gossip about her and how she had an affair with..."
"Shut up," Stuart interrupted. "I told you this is between you and me," he said with a voice so cold and threatening. His voice sounded dangerous, like the rumble of thunder over discontented mountains. The shadow of an unspeakable outrage blackened his eyes.
Aaron’s heart beat faster, and his hands shook. He stood without moving, his mind racing a mile a minute. ’There’s nothing I can’t do to help my mother,’ he shrugged one shoulder as if to push away the thought. He hid his fear wanting Stuart to get angry. "Calm down! There’s no proof of what your mother did." His tone was insolent. "I guess we both have skeletons in our closet. We’re not so different after all."
Stuart walked toward Aaron slowly. With each step, he thought of his plan of action. His face distorted with a venomous look of pure hatred as he glared at Aaron in a barely controlled rage. But then, almost as though a switch had flicked inside his head, his expression changed. Suddenly a smile appeared on his face. Aaron wasn’t prepared for the sweet, sunny smile that curved his lips. He knew that Stuart could tear him apart literally and probably would.
Aaron grinned at Stuart deviously. "You want to punch me, don’t you? Beat me to death, and I dare you," he said, trying to provoke Stuart. "You’ve already lost control by kidnapping my mother. What’s stopping you now? Do it," he demanded. He closed his eyes and prepared himself for the hit. "Come on, Stuart put an end to it," he yelled.
Stuart stood directly in front of him. He was standing so close, Aaron could feel his breath on his face. But Stuart didn’t hit him, he grabbed his phone from Aaron’s hand and said, "Don’t hurt Edie or you will die a violent death." Then Stuart turned around and left.
Aaron opened his eyes, slowly watching Stuart disappear from his sight. He didn’t know why, but he almost felt as though Stuart was sad, like him. "Why does he seem so alone when he has Edie by his side? How interesting!" he said, and his eyes lit up as if he had an idea. Then he shouted out to Stuart, "Thank you for not hurting me. I appreciate it! I’m sure I’ll be able to pay you back one day." Then, an evil smile appeared on his lips.
Stuart thought Aaron had gone mad and didn’t look back at him. He put his hand in the air and said, "Remember what I said." fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Aaron laid down on the bed and still had the same smile on his face, but there was something hidden beneath his eyes. He rubbed his chin in thought and chuckled, "Mrs. Yates had an affair. How interesting. What will I do with this."
