Chapter 349: Chapter 349: Back To Filming

Back at the filming base, the cast members were divided into two groups, A and B. This was to help speed things along on account of the delay. There were two directors in charge of Malloy and Bob.

Edie and Clyde’s scene was up next. Edie is preparing herself immediately. Prince Raines sat in a pavilion overlooking a small lake. Mae was walking over to him. "Prince Raines," she said. "You look like you’re thinking about something."

The Prince raised his head and smiled at her. "How are you?" he asked.

"Sally told me I could come to see you. I’m so happy we finally revealed our true feelings to one another," Mae said as she sat down beside the Prince.

"Yes, we’ve experienced a lot together, good and bad, but the good most definitely outweighed the bad because you’re here with me right now," Prince Raines said.

Mae reached over and put a blanket on the Prince’s legs. "You need to take better care of yourself. It’s cold outside today," she said in a gentle, loving, and caring voice.

The Prince took Mae’s hand in his. "Mae," he said softly.

Mae’s neck and face flushed, and she answered, "Yes, My Prince."

The Prince squeezed her hand a little tighter. He looked deep into her eyes. "I’ve been doing a lot of thinking," he said.

Mae could see the seriousness grow on his face, and she got confused. "Is there something wrong? What is it?" she asked.

"No, nothing’s wrong," he said as he shook his head. "As long as you live in the palace, your life will always be in danger." He stopped for a minute to collect his thoughts. "I love and respect you, and I want to spend the rest of my life, protecting you and loving you. Will.....you marry me?" There was a little hesitation in the Prince’s voice, but only because he had no idea how Mae would respond to his question.

Mae couldn’t believe his words. "But....why would....." she said in a stutter, trying to get the words out.

The Prince stretched his hand forward. Mae slightly smiled at him as he pushed the hair strand behind her ear. "I don’t deserve you. Look at me, I’m in a wheelchair," he said, pointing to his legs. "Sometimes I think if you were to wait, then maybe you would find someone who was more worthy than me. I promise I will take care of you until the day I die. I will swear by the souls of my ancestors that I will do as I promise." He smiled down at Mae, a tender, loving smile, and his voice was soft and reassuring.

"I am only a servant." Tears choked Mae when she tried to speak. "Are there no laws forbidding such marriages?" she asked.

"No one can choose their father, no one can choose their son, but everyone can choose their spouse. Do you understand? I want you to be free to choose," he said sincerely.

Mae looked at the Prince, incredulous, her eyes full of unanswered questions. "Why would you want to marry me? We come from different worlds." Her eyes suddenly filled with tears.

The Prince’s brows furrowed curiously. "Are we so different? We love each other, so I will ask you again. Will you marry me?"

Mae stood up and sat on his lap. She threw her arms around him. "Yes, I will marry you. I want to spend the rest of life with you," she said, crying tears of joy.

The Prince held Mae tightly in his arms. He whispered softly in her ear. "I will ask the Emperor for permission, and we will soon be married." Taking a handkerchief from his pocket, he wiped away her tears.

Mae looks at him with so much love in her eyes. "Prince...." she says.

Without letting her finish, the Prince interrupts her. "Say my name. That is what you call me now."

Mae feels her face getting flushed, she raises her head and looks into his eyes. "Peter...." she said. For a long time, they gazed into each other’s eyes. The Prince wanted to kiss her but hesitated.

"Cut," Bob shouted. He walks over to Clyde. "That was amazing, and suddenly you stop. Is everything all right?"

Clyde had a weird expression on his face. "I’m fine," he said and waved his hand in the air motioning for Bob to leave.

"Then explain to me why you didn’t finish the rest of the scene," Bob asked.

Clyde stood up, looking annoyed. "Get rid of that scene," he said.

Bob was frantic and said, "What? Did you say what I think you said?" fгeewebnovёl.com

"Yes, you heard me right. Delete it," Clyde said as he glared into his eyes.

Bob was starting to get nervous. "Can’t we talk about it first." He lowered his voice. "Is it because everyone is watching. I can ask them to leave while you finish the scene."

Clyde’s patience was getting thin. "Do you not understand English? I said to delete it. I don’t want to do the kiss scene," he said loudly.

Bob took a step back and stood there with his mouth wide open. No one had ever spoken to him in this kind of manner, ever. Clyde was famous and had a lot of influence in the entertainment industry. There was no way Bob could deny Clyde’s wishes. ’Clyde Jackson is an arrogant ass! I never imagined he would cause so much trouble,’ Bob thought. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

Bob put a hand on his arm and tried to persuade Clyde to change his mind. "Before you make a decision. Could we talk about it a little more," he asked.

"I said no," Clyde said sternly.

They argued back and forth, but could not reach a conclusion. Edie noticed the two of them talking and walked over. "What’s going on? Is there a problem?" she asked.

Clyde stopped speaking when he noticed Edie standing beside them. "You need to talk him out of it?" Bob said.
