Chapter 332: Chapter 332: I Will Let You Know

Mr. Bayer walked in and saw the smile on Madame Yates’s face. Her eyes were lit up with happiness. She looked at him, and he looked back, and for a moment, they said nothing.

"Seeing Stuart and his reaction! Has it put your mind at ease?" Mr. Bayer asked.

Madame Yates nodded. She smiles but sighs too. "I’ve been wondering if I made the right educational decisions for him. After seeing Stuart today, I no longer have to question myself. I made the right choice for him. He’s a grown man, and the L. N. Group is in good hands."

Mr. Bayer has apparently been communicating in silence with his own sad thoughts, for his eyes rolled with a suspicious wildness. "Stuart reminds me of his father. Alexander did all he could to make you two happy and would stop at nothing to please you,"

Madame Yates studied his expression as though trying to read his thoughts. Mr. Bayer kept them carefully hidden and continued to smile. She traced her finger along with the image of her deceased husband. Her mind continued to reply to the memory of the day Alexander died in her arms. Madame Yates would never forget her duty to her dead husband’s memory. Mr. Bayer couldn’t think about anything else when he was with Madame Yates, but at the same time, thinking about her was giving him more energy and strength. She cared for him, but she will never love Mr. Bayer the way she loved her late husband, this he knew.

"Yes, Stuart is very much like his father. I have to admit his personality was the same as his father’s when he was living. I don’t think he will ever know how proud I am of him." Madame Yates’s eyes sparkled with laughter and gratitude, and her smile said it all. fгeewebnovёl.com

Mr. Bayer swallowed and looked at Madame Yates as he spoke to avoid her eyes, "Yes, he does!"

Madame looked up at the clock and sighed. "We should be getting to bed. It’s getting late, and we need lots of rest for tomorrow.

"Tomorrow?" Mr. Bayer asked, sounding surprised.

"Tomorrow, I want to visit the child," she answered quickly.

Madame Yates’s eyes gazed across the room as if she were thinking about something. "You should go and visit Donald first since he’s been hurt. After all, you and him....." She didn’t finish the sentence. "Can you handle the situation with Donald? If not, I’ll do it!"

"No! I’ll do it! It will be too hard on you," Mr. Bayer said worriedly.

She shook her head and smiled. "That’s rubbish! You know who I am, and you know there’s nothing I can’t handle." Madame Yates continued talking without waiting for Mr. Bayer’s reply. "You have worked for me so long, and this is how I repay you! I need to do more to thank you for all your hard work."

Without saying another word, Mr. Bayer smiled, nodded his head, and turned to leave. "Good night," he said.

"Thank you for staying with me for all these years," Madame said, full of gratitude. "Every time there is a crisis, you have always been there right by my side." Her heart was full of appreciation.

Mr. Bayer stood by Madame’s side for over ten years, remaining discreet, without asking for anything in return. "I will always be here for you," he said as he turned and began to walk away.

Mr. Bayer’s voice echoed in the large room. The cheerful and affectionate tone of his words made Madame’s heart bleed, which was a reminder of the past. He took a few steps and stood in the doorway, smiling without saying a word. ’I want her to know how much I love her, but to lose to a dead person. I couldn’t bear to lose her completely,’ Mr. Bayer stood there thinking about the life they could have.

The next day after Edie was finished eating breakfast, she decided to go to the company and discuss with Danny how to manage the situation with Clyde. Edie entered the building, and the receptionist immediately put her head up and said, "Good morning! Miss. Lara."

Edie could feel her face turning beat red. The embarrassment flooded over her. ’She never speaks to me with such enthusiasm before?’ She nodded and walked over to the elevator. The door opened, and Edie stepped inside.

"Edie, it’s so good to see you!" A booming voice full of anticipation rang out.

Edie was startled and jerked back. "Hello," she said timidly. It was an actress, Cindy, from the company.

There was so much excitement in her voice as she spoke. "Edie, since we work for the same company.." she paused to take a breath. "Would you mind letting me know if they’re looking for any actresses in your recent film," she asked.

"A...Okay, but honestly, I only play a small part in the film," Edie said with uncertainty in her voice. Edie had no idea why she was asking her such a thing. She thought maybe Cindy was only trying to be polite. "If I hear of anything, I will let you know!"

Cindy was overjoyed. She rushed towards Edie and hugged her tightly. "Thank you! It means so much to me," she said.

Edie stepped out of the elevator, shaking her head. The second she saw Danny, she understood why Cindy acted in such a manner.

"Edie, it’s fantastic news! The audience numbers have swelled, and the ratings have skyrocketed for The White Love Song," Danny informed her.

"Really?" Edie’s voice vibrated with excitement.

"Do you have any idea what the ratings were yesterday?" Danny asked.

Edie shook her head. "No, I didn’t even look," she replied while she was thinking about the events of yesterday.

Danny raised his hand and said, "It was 3.2 yesterday!"

"What?" Edie said, thinking she heard him wrong.

"Yes, and the ratings are still escalating." Danny was ecstatic. "Do you know what this means? If the ratings of the show reach over three percent, that means the film is a huge success. You’re finally going to make a name for yourself." Edie seemed to look through him, leaving him puzzled. "Why aren’t you more excited," he asked.

"I don’t understand why today there’s such a big jump in the ratings. What is different today than yesterday," Edie said, sounding confused.

"You mean, you don’t know? Clyde made a post on Twitter last night," Danny answered. "Did you not ask him to do it for you?"

Edie started to feel embarrassed. "Yes, but that was over four days ago!"

Danny pulls out his Ipad and opens up Twitter. "Here! Take a look!" He handed it over to Edie. "You’re a star! Show some excitement!"

"I’ve been a little busy the last couple of days. Yesterday was my mother’s anniversary of her death, and I visited her grave for the first time in a long time. It was an emotional day for me. And my grandpa has been staying with us. I haven’t had the time to watch the news let along look at Twitter," Edie explained.
